    Monarch Automotive is a automotive garage that was formerly the Perkins Service Garage, which was…read moresold off to Monarch. The staff who work there are much the same as when it was part of Perkins. The garage is a trustworthy one, where in my experience, they only do the work you ask them to do or they will tell you if something needs doing and then you decide. Their customer service is good and the folks there have a good telephone manner. Perhaps not the most convenient location, it is still worth goping to for trustworthy mechanics who charge adecent rate. A few main dealers could learn from this place.     This is the worst garage I have ever had the misfortune to use, my car broke down and the RAC…read morediagnosed a crankshaft sensor the car drove under its own power onto Monarch recovery unit it their workshops they changed the camshaft sensor at twice the cost parts alone of the original quote they then replaced the plug leads as there was signs of rodent damage (this had been there for 3 months) when it still didn't cure the problem they stated it must be rodent damage to the wiring, I insisted that the car was returned to me after paying nearly £400 the car was returned and would not start at all when I looked at the car I replaced the crankshaft sensor in 30 mins on my front garden at a cost of £49 the car started first time and has run with no problem I was clear that the crank sensor had not been touched as it was covered in oil and road dirt I have complained to Monarch but they have not had the courtesy to reply to it they just appear to be kicking it around till it goes away. I feel that this garage is a total rip off
