I am gonna have to hold off on the care part of my review because the jury is out on this one and…read moreonly been recent that we moved a loved one to the assisted living from the independent living arrangement. it really is a long involved convoluted story , way to many details to write about. the move process to assisted living lacks support and any process. the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. the actual move in day was supposed to have a nurse meet with us,but this never happened. we were accused of not arriving on time, even though we did. We had no idea when dinner would be served, or when the meds would be administered. I asked multiple staff members for help and who I should be talking to since our arrival meet and greet never happened. I finally lost it, yes I did, and demanded to speak to "the nurse". I did not yell, but was real firm and stressed out in talking with one of the care coordinators and so was our loved one. Finally the person who was to meet with us earlier in the day comes barreling in the room like she was ready for war. We were accused of yelling, yes yelling at her staff. Not true, yes I was firm, but did not raise my voice. she starting spewing that she had 60 people to care for! Guess our loved one was not in that number. She lied about an email that was sent to us about dinner times, nope nothing like that existed. we asked where she was for the agreed upon range of time for our arrival, said she didn't see an email or have a call. we emailed her at 7:40 am and called when we arrived. only could leave a voice mail. We had to fight to have a TV installed, another story for another time. Lastly the most rude and appalling comment out of this persons mouth was that if we didn't like it we should go back to where we came from. my loved one is not only stressed out because of this encounter he witnessed in his room (she should have had the professional courtesy to suggest that we go to her office to talk) but he is afraid that he won't get the care he needs! BTW we are paying $6500 for this type of treatment. Pathetic to say the least.

They used to have outings once a week, now two a month and church is considered an outing. An outing used to be going out to lunch. This month it is a a scenic trip in the middle of March in Wisconsin.? Scenic? For about an hour. Not much programmed during the day. Only one puzzle area in the entire residence. They have cut back on bingo. These are things the residents enjoy. In the morning they can go down to the Bistro and share one newspaper. They have to wait to read it. Can't they afford more than one newspaper? They certainly charge enough to live there. The food ($9.00 a meal) is, most of the time, over cooked or undercooked, and very small portions, My friend is a small eater and she even says they are small portions. The food is the biggest complaint of all. I know you can't please everyone, but they can try.. It seems a lot of the time students who work there part time are the cooks. If you skip a meal because you are sick or not there, you are still charged for it. It used to be if you missed a day you could have a meal the next day. They stopped that also. If food is rated poorly the residents will move. I'm sure that is a reason residents move. I know that firsthand Parking, being a visitor, many times there isn't room to park. I have to park on the other side of the building. Being elderly also I don't appreciate that. They charge so much for parking inside the residents can't afford it. So the residents park outside. They rather have empty inside parking then lower the inside parking spaces. Instead they raise the price. If someone falls during the night there isn't anyone there to help someone get into the person's apartment. The turnover of the help is unbelievable. Obviously they are not good to work for. Always very short of help. Wake up New Perspectives!

I would not put my parents here. I have been hearing stories from friends who USED TO live there. They say they would not go back. I heard the staff are friendly and they would help. No matter if they were short staffed, they would do their best to try to get to the next person.

Poppa's temporary home…read more.. Pretty standard for a nursing home type facility; splendid smell comes at no extra charge. There's a lot of coughing, a lot of "help me, help me" and a few strange patients including, but not limited to a) the whistle guy who, you guessed it, is ALWAYS whistling, b) the lady with purple headphones who just turned 100 who wants to know who drew the "no smoking" sign and c) the lady who repeatedly asks, "what if there's a fire?" Cool place, but let's hope Poppa (what I call my Grandpa) can return home soon. Until then, bring on the wheelchairs, hand sanitizer, oxygen tanks, and crazy cute old people.

Well now that I/we have had to utilize this property for rehabilitation/assisted living for my Mom, it is absolutely horrible. With in the first 4 days of being here, our Mom fell multiple times, she was placed in quarantine and no one could visit her to see what was actually taking place, because she came from a hospital setting. Once her 14 day quarantine was up, even with the Lasata Staffing knowing that they had a positive Covid testing of an employee, they moved our Mom to a different room, to start another 14 day quarantine. Luckily we were able to find and secure a new living facility for her, with in a weeks time, only to get her and see that her leg, ankle and foot were swollen. When Lasata was questioned no one would return call soft over a day. When they did call back they more or less said not our problem she's not enrolled with us any more. What a heartless caring staff you are Lasata - from the conference calls to now having a Mother in worse shape since her arrival to your facility proves / answers my unanswered questions - it's all about the money and the number of residents you keep- there is NO CARE for the resident or their families. Sham on you all!!
