No longer the same owners... please disregard the reviews prior to June 2021 Yolanda has moved to SC. No longer honoring the pre book discount and there is now a 3.5% fee to use a card. Neither was explained to me until I called today to inquire about the amount on my debit statement. No more iPad at check out, so I had no idea, wasn't informed. I also found it to be very odd that I wasn't notified or told that this was a new owner. The groom was not great. Will try one more visit as we travel over 30 minutes to use this groomer and there are so many closer to home. read more

0 out of 5 stars. Not clean...I understand it's a dog groomer but the overwhelming wet dog smell when you walk in was very unpleasant. Can't follow directions...I had to call to find out that my dog was ready for pickup, when I requested to be called 10 min before she was finished. Absolutely dropped the ball...dog was brought out from the mystery room in the back still wet and not brushed. Loose hair all over her. Looked worse than when I brought her in. The cherry on top was my dog had POOP on her paws and leg! Absolutely VILE. When I called to inform them of this and ask for a refund I was met with hostility, denial, and a poor attitude. The employee who groomed my dog hung up on me mid conversation, totally unprofessional. A manager with a slightly better attitude convinced me to wait for them to call back on Monday to hear about the complimentary service they would offer to make it right....AND NEVER CALLED BACK. Will not recommend will never be back and hope they close down. read more

My fiancé happened to pass this place while driving on merrick road and told me to check it out because he thought it was new. I went on yelp and only saw 1 review so I assumed it was new too! I called and was able to get an appointment for my 6 lb Maltipoo that same day!!! I dropped her off and the receptionist was very friendly. I found out they have been open for two years already but there were some trees blocking there signage so it was hard to see the store front. I also spoke with a groomer and I believe the owner too. It was nice to actually speak to the person who will be taking care of your dog! My dog does not like to be brushed so she gets horrible knots so I spoke to the groomer about having to shave her but I asked them to leave as much hair as possible since it's so cold out. They said they would try and they told me they would call me 15 minutes before she was ready to be picked up. I ran some errands, went home and by that time (about 2 hours later) my phone was ringing to her to be picked up. I went to pick her up and my puppy looked great! She was shaved but had some fur still left on her and she smelt great. They cleaned her ears and cut her nails as well. It was $64 but when I checked in on yelp and got $10 off! I will be taking my dog back here and recommending it to my family and friends because it seems like they really care about the animals they are grooming! read more

Rescued a shitzu from an owner who didn't take care of him. Him fur was matted and gross. He had bald spots on his head. Yellow crust was all over his paws and ears. I took him to Paw Central for their wonderful reviews. They did such an amazing job on him! Since he head infections and hair loss on both sides of his head they gave him a cute Mohawk. I'm so grateful to them for helping Simba... I just can't recommend them enough. read more

Everything seemed great until the time to pick up my pup. They called me 15 minutes prior to closing and the lady at the front desk had a very sarcastic attitude when I picked him up because I was late. I spent about $120 on this grooming that I never have paid elsewhere before. Lady at the front desk was very rude and when it came time for payment she didn't ask whether or not I wanted to leave a tip, instead told me "where are we leaving the tip" as if the grooming itself was not already expensive. The grooming itself was ok but I will not be returning due to the receptionists attitude. read more

We brought our toy poodle for grooming and informed groomer to be careful of skin tags in multiple spots on his body. Summary is groomer (Hector) cut him on side of his face, this became infected and eventually needed surgical removal of growth that developed from injury. We spoke to 2 managers, then alleged owner Seann who is now ignoring communication with us regarding the $843.17 for original grooming and all medical expense we paid to have our dog treated. Their management is irresponsible and customer care regarding this matter is HORRIBLE. This situation is still ongoing and I will update if Seann or anyone else steps up and acts like a responsible adult. I wouldn't trust this company, now known as Lucky Paws Pet Grooming (luckypawsusa.com) with 18 offices, with grooming a stuffed animal. read more

Just picked my dog up and I am SO happy with his grooming! I was referred here by my vet because my dog has anxiety and usually doesn't do well at the groomer. We have a Cockapoo who needs to be groomed frequently. We loved a girl that did grooming on our girl for years, but the owners were horrendous long story love you Kristie! We looked in the internet and found Paw Central in East Massapequa. Yolanda the owner is amazing. She groomed our dog perfectly, no nicks, just perfect! Our dog is 9 years old, and Yolanda did the most perfect grooming we ever had!! She is kind, caring, and her business is very clean. Our Daisey comes home happy, and not stressed out. Took my 10 year old bijon yorkie Lucy to Paw Central today and have to say it was such a nice experience. Ive been going to another place for years and it got increasingly hard to get an appointment and the staff was not the nicest. Lucy was a wreck going in there. So i figured lets give Paw Central a try. Got rave reviews on Neighborhood site. We walked in and everyone was so nice and they made a fuss over Lucy. I met Yolanda the owner who also was very nice and i could see everyone there loves animals. Lucy was done in less than two hours and it was the best haircut she has ever had. Just took our pup Jameson here for the first time. Past grooming experiences left him choppy - he's a King Charles cavalier and his long hair gets him tangled up sometimes! He looks amazing! The groomers at Paw Central did an amazing job with my mini golden doodle on her first visit! Her hair was very long and quite knotty, and they carefully got rid of the matting and still tried to keep her face as fluffy as they could. She looks beautiful and smells great. Every staff member was friendly, helpful and caring. The shop was beautifully decorated and very clean. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in the care of the people at Paw Central. This place was recommended to me by my Vet and I was not disappointed. I was having difficulty finding a good groomer for my dog that didn't need her to stay there for hours on end, wasn't overpacked with dogs, and that didn't cut her - and I have found it with Paw Central. On average, my dog is only there for about two hours and she always leaves looking great and cut free. The entire experience is great here, for both owner and pup.
