I was lucky to have my colleague order for all 3 of us (the portions are meant to be small bites to encourage sharing as well as sampling more of the menu). Nothing disappointed. It was all cooked exceptionally well. The true test was the Pad Thai. The noodles were silky and cooked just right to avoid clumping together. The curry dishes were the ideal combination of lots of meat, some vegetables and just enough sauce to pour over rice but not so much that it feels like it's going to waste. We also enjoyed duck spring rolls, something they referred to as prawn biscuits (fantastic and totally new to me), and a spicy marinated beef dish. The curries were tasty and well flavoured, as was the rice we got on the side. My stepdad's dish came with rice already on a neat, complete plate. The naan was pretty good, although not my favourite I've ever had. We had chai to finish the meal, which was a bit over-creamy for me, but that's likely due to Canadian milk not having as high a fat percentage as English milk, for the most part. Yesterday I visited the restaurant with my old in laws for evening meal . We had ordered dosa and my old relative found uncooked potatoes in her masala dosa. We know mistakes do happen in restaurants- my relative moved the uncooked portions and ate the rest. When the server came to remove the plates we just noted it so that they can correct it for other customer. The guy took it personally went to chef and came back with feedback that the potatoes was rock hard because they were "over cooked" - just bonkers. He also refused to serve us any water while he was happily attending all tables around us , we were just shocked ! We payed the full bill and proceeded to exit the place. Even though I expressedy displeasure not even an apology - we were almost thrown out of restaurant with my old relative. I rally hope our experience was unique and not all customers are treated this way ! Kayal has only gone downhill over the past few visits . Food is bland with very little flavour ! I will never return to this place yesterday was one of the worst restaurant experiences in my life !!!!!
