Because of these issues, our girl pup had begun to develop some mats in her coat. Both dogs were overdue for grooming. Needless to say, regular grooming (even at our most trusted groomer) was out of the question because of our injured dog's balance issues that were also complicated by her hip dysplasia. As she healed, we knew it would be extremely stressful to ever leave her at a busy, noisy grooming salon. What we needed to find was a groomer who could come to the house, provide one-on-one customized grooming in a safe, self-contained environment. We needed someone who could keep an eye out for any outward signs for us to follow up as needed with our vet. Most of all, we needed to find someone who was knowledgeable, caring, gentle and committed to the well being of our pups while under their care. We found all that and more with Amanda of Keep Pup Mobile Grooming Spa who I found thanks to the Yelp community. I cannot recommend her more highly. Our dogs immediately took to her as another member of the pack. Amanda was super responsive in providing appointments that fit our very challenging schedules, and worked with us to ensure any special health concerns were addressed. Her mobile grooming spa is immaculately kept, and Amanda has high standards to ensure a safe, low-stress experience for pets and owners. We plan on booking her as far in advance as possible to ensure our fur babies get the very best, right here in our neighborhood. Gotta love that! It is best to contact her via text, and give her needed information; breed, age/sex of pet, last grooming date, etc. She will let you know if she services your area and will provide you with an estimate and window of her arrival. Amanda is prompt, in fact she arrived early for the appointment (she checked with me first) and she did an amazing job with Duchess. I have to admit this has to be her best grooming yet. You can tell that she enjoys her work by her performance. The grooming is on par with area groomers, but you get a more personalized touch, AND you don't have to leave your home. I have already recommended Amanda to family and will be using her again.

When I arrived she wouldn't take my 10 pound dog and charged me $25 for being late even though she had two empty cages. In fact there were no dogs there. She was waiting in for her next appointment. She could have taken our small dog but did not want to. What bothers me is that she admitted to reading my text but did not reply even though she had two helpers at the shop sitting on the floor. She also made up the "late fee" charge. She did inform me of a cancellation fee policy but never of a late fee. The owner seems very nice on the phone and via text, but be careful.

They had never been boarded anywhere before, and I was a worried dog Mommy, they gave me a tour and showed me where the puppies would be kept, where they would play and where they would walk. After talking to the staff on the phone I reserved a stay (site unseen) for our two miniature schnauzers. From the minute we walked in the door I had no regrets of our decision to board of dogs with them. The office was clean and organized. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We were in our RV pulling a Jeep and they had to move a few cars for us to maneuver their driveway. Our dogs were welcomed calmly and boarded together. We were able to have them bathed prior to our picking them up. The pricing is comparable to what we pay in Montana. We did not have any problems with them after their stay. We would highly recommend this pet resort and we will use it again if ever in Maryland. After returning home we received a handwritten note from the staff regarding our pups' stay. So I gave him some Benadryl and gave him a quick bath thinking that would help if he was allergic or she didn't get all the soap out . By Monday night I started to see red and clear stuff on my hands after petting him and on his blankets , Than I remembered her saying "oh that's hot " than she said he must have hit the handle on the water faucet and made it hot . His vet cut some of his hair to look at it and it was blistering. So he was burnt. . I know it was an accident but her response was that she didn't do it and got nasty with me . Oh, I was looking for was I'm sorry if I did that . She should have took responsibility for it. I'm sorry he goes a long way so that is the reason for her bad review.
