At her previous daycare, everyone loved her and always commented on what a sweet dog she was. Her veterinarian's office has always spoken highly of her as well. We only made the switch because the location was more convenient. Looking back, we should have trusted our instincts. As soon as we arrived, she didn't want to go inside. I actually had to carry her through the door, which is completely out of character for her. When we picked her up, instead of speaking with us privately, a staff member criticized our dog at length in front of other customers. We were told she had to be continually reprimanded, kept on a leash, and eventually spent most of the day alone in a crate. This was shocking to hear, especially since we have never received feedback like this from her previous daycare or her veterinary team. When I tried to explain that this had never happened before and that everyone who has cared for her has always described her as a sweet dog, I was interrupted with, "Will you let me finish?" before the criticism continued. The entire conversation felt condescending and took place in front of other customers, which was embarrassing and unnecessary. Whether or not our dog was a good fit for this daycare, the way we were treated was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy and compassion. We were also disappointed to be told that, after being kept on a leash, she ultimately spent most of the day alone in a crate. That was certainly not what we expected when we paid for a full day of daycare. We understand that difficult conversations sometimes need to happen, but they should be handled respectfully and privately. I hope they reconsider how they communicate with pet owners in the future because no one should leave feeling embarrassed the way we did.

That being said.... I met Susan with Peesh's pets only a few weeks ago. I needed a change in pet care as I wanted someone that this was their only job, not someone doing this as a part time gig... Well I found it! Susan is the owner/operator and is extremely dedicated to her business and LOVES animals. So my story, I was out of town for literally a 12 day work meeting. I received multiple daily updates and one of the updates from Susan came in saying that my dog was showing a bump on his back hip area. We decided she would watch it but I would make a vet appt for my day of return. The day of me arriving home I received a message that she was going to take my dog to the ER and I agreed, the bump had doubled in size. Long story short my flight was delayed multiple times and I did not get here in time for while my dog was at the ER, she got him home about 1:30 in the morning and STAYED with him until I got in at 6:00am!!! She would not leave him alone after what he had been through. Preliminary diagnosis is cancer, and Susan is the one that had to tell me the news. I can't imagine how that was for her as I broke down. She would not accept any further compensation for what she did for me. This goes beyond being a "pet sitter". She is a part of our lives, she has a care and love for what she does that goes beyond anything I could of imagined. My partner and I have been sending our dog, Winnie, to Hollywood hounds for daycare since November…read more2025. When we adopted Winnie a few weeks prior, she was very anxious and unsure of basically everything. We chose Hollywood Hounds because we had read that they were well versed with anxious pups. Since Winnie has started going to daycare, she has become increasingly more confident around new people, new places, and overall has been a happier dog. Winnie loves the staff at Hollywood Hounds, and she greets them with kisses, tail wags, and wiggles every time she walks through the door. We always hear the staff excitedly greeting her as she walks into the back, and hear everyone telling her goodbye as she leaves. We check their Facebook page frequently to see photos of Winnies day. In every photo she is having an absolute blast playing with her friends, getting love from the staff, and relaxing in the shade. They have always been more than happy to be attentive to Winnie as well. Winnie has had some minor health issues since we brought her home, and we have always been able to trust Hollywood Hounds to let us know if she had any issues during the day or if they noticed anything abnormal. They have given great recommendations for trainers, vets and ways to help her settle in at home. They also have always been happy to squeeze her in for a quick nail trim or rinse off in the bath after a day of rolling in the mud. We have recommended Hollywood Hounds to anyone who is in the area, and will continue to do so, as we have had many wonderful experiences with their business. Winnie is always so excited to go to daycare, and has started to learn when she goes and now anxiously waits by the door so we don't forget to bring her to her favorite place.

They offer short and long walking adventures that include trips to the beach, local rivers or lakes, hikes, and generally way more fun outdoor experiences than I offer my buddy. The staff is incredible. Colby and Racheal are our two primary walkers. They care for my guy, Burrito, like they care for their own dogs, who accompany them on all adventures. They also offer overnight care - we did this in late September for a weekend and were so thrilled with how it went!
