Never met him but his crew of six people were sent over to put a new rubber roof on my mobile home…read more Six men on a mobile home roof, that if you were knowledgeable you'd know it can't hold more than two. 1 and a half inch rafters with a very thin layer on sheet metal under the rubber. Under that is my ceiling. These guys had no clue as to what they were doing. End result I ended up with a lot of damage. They pulled out my roof jack, thew it to the side. Then they shoved it back in and thought it would magically pop back into place with the connecting pipe to my furnace. My roof jack was broken and the pipe that connects my furnace to it. They stomped around on my roof like it was a normal house. I have dislodged lights, ceiling fan, exhaust fan and cracks in my ceiling. My bathroom door doesn't shut! The owner never came to my home after complaints to check the damage and never called. Found out he never got the permit from the town to do the work. Shady and unprofessional. Pictures speak a thousand words, I have everything documented. Apparently it won't let me post all my pictures. So you just get a few

I was recently working on a local job site in Stonington, CT doing IT work and overheard my Forman…read moretalk about how impressive a job A&L Plumbing's work was that he gave me an insider lesson on what's good and what's bad. He told me that in life I might need to call a plumber some day and you better know some basics before signing a contract with someone. He began to give me a grand tour of all the plumbing that A&L Plumbing did on the job site and kept telling me how clean, orderly, and efficient they are. Just from the looks of it, I would have to agree. Being in IT, I know when little things are out of place and its the little things that make all the difference. Let me tell you (not knowing much about plumbing), these guys had everything in place and in an orderly fashion. Properly labelled pipes, state of the art products and from the looks of it, had tons of experience in this area. I work with modern technology all the time and would have to say that when the Forman showed me around and what types of plumbing technology they were installing, I was blown away! I had no idea all the tech that is now involved within this area. I thought the profession was kind of behind with technology and sort of playing catch-up... I had no idea the setup they that was involved with some of the plumbing equipment. Remote-in with your phone to adjust the temperature of your water heater and analyse just about any stats you want? WHAT? Seriously, Yeah, these guys know their S#it. He began to tell me these guys are the ones to call even if I had a small plumbing concern and that they are the most reasonably price contractors around. In addition, handed me a their number on a scrap piece of paper, should I ever need them in the future. None, the less my friend recently bought a house and they happened to call them and they did all the plumbing in their house ha! Crazy! They began to tell me how nice of a crew they are and how efficient they were with the installation upgrades and their requests, that even they recommended them to me. That's twice now from two different sources that when the time comes for me, I will certainly call these guys and have them do all my plumbing needs. I would not feel comfortable having someone else do the work, when my closest friends tell me they are good. Seeing first hand what these guys can do on the job site I was working at, it is certain I will call them. I had to write this review because I feel they deserve a good review seeing how hard these guys work and the quality of work that it would be nice of me to express my thoughts online. Call'em up, it is better than going to the big overpriced box plumbers.

My pipes froze a couple of years ago and when I called Jim he came over in a flash with heaters to try and get things warmed up. I'm sure he had plenty of people he was helping that day. however he never seemed rushed or acted like I was an inconvenience. he never charged me for his kindness and help. he told me the pipes woudl unfreeze when the temp reached about 36. he was exactly right. he does all the work for us around the complex. every one loves him.
