Kelly comes in twice a day at the moment, feeds him, gives him a fresh bowl of water, takes him out for a walk and plays with him. She sends me regular updates/photos and it's great to see him having fun! From my initial enquiry through to the day-to-day stuff, Kelly has always been extremely professional and helpful. My dog took to one, which she still eats to this day. When returning to buy the food she also offered me to join the mailing list for the brand and said I would get offers through the post, which I did. I also tried to groomers recently and have now gone to them a few times. My dogs coat is extremely difficult to maintain and if I don't get to do it daily it gets matted very easily. The groomer there also said the dog has a very difficult coat so would be best to keep is as short as possible. I prefer her head a little longer and the groomer has always done her best to keep it longer than the body. A great personal service, they remember me when I go in store and are friendly and helpful.

The centre regularly runs special offers, at the time of my visit there was 33% off Micro-chipping with a full vaccination course as well as free worming for all kittens and puppies at first vaccination. I signed up for the Pet Health Care Plan, it spreads my care costs over the year with affordable monthly payments rather than huge bills. The plan includes; annual booster vaccinations, full health check twice yearly, year round flea prevention and worming and much more. The cost is £10.00 for a rabbit, £11.00 for a cat, £11.50 for a small dog up to £16.00 for a big fat dog.

I have to say my husband and I were gutted as they were a husband and wife team who offered a truly personal service. I had been trying various practices to see if any matched up to those high standards. It's almost impossible to find unique pracices anymore, but for me White Cross is as close as it gets. We have had cause to visit them a great deal with our cat and every time we have received lovely service. The nurses at reception are helpful and always ready for a chat. The vets are knowledgable and caring and the prices are decent in my view. Unfortunately we lost our cat ultimately but they dealt with this with great sensitivity too and when we're ready for a new pet I'll have no hesitation in using them again.

We have a very highly strung cat and have tried all sorts of different treatments to help calm him, but sadly to no avail. On our visit today, on route we phoned to inform of a slight delay,( Due to afore mentioned reason,) which, as it turned out would not have been a problem. We noticed the patient before our appointment left a good while after we checked in. We were informed that we would have to go to the back of the queue as a matter of protocol. No problem if there had been someone else being seen.(Which was not the case.) When we asked in a polite manner, the receptionist, was quite rude in her reply.

Em's is one such pet store that I've used on occasion and it's ok, but nothing special. It's clearly been there for some time and looks it. The interior is a little tired and could do with a lick of paint, but that doesn't mean it's a bad shop. Most pets are catered for here and you will, after an initial hunt, find what you're looking for. They also, strangely, sell a small selection of household goods, like brooms. Actually, now that I think about it and considering the amount of cleaning up I do after my dogs, brooms is a fairly clever thing for a pet shop to sell!

Anyway, this gets a thumbs up from me, for being a lovely, unexpectedly flowery and multi-faceted pet food shop - replete with friendly owner. It was also rather convenient as I did actually need to get some cat food - so where better to be than a pet food store? They seemed a little under-stocked in the whole generic pet food stakes, which isn't necessarily the greatest thing considering that it does actually call itself a pet food store - rather than a pet food/ florist/ key cutting/ fish bait/ mop and broom sellers. That said, I love a bit of a multifaceted local business, and the cat was happy that she got something out of it, so it's all good, really.
