I have a 13 year old very anxious chihuahua and a blind 18 year old rat terrier, Thursday June 5th was my second time taking them there for grooming, They are so great with my golden oldies..They did a great job cleaning my 18 year olds teeth, his teeth, the few remaining are pretty bad, I couldnt believe how white they were, I showed him off at the dog park...My chihuahua was too nervous for nails to be done and they didnt force him...I appreciate how kind and gentle they are with my sweet little old men read more

Horrible! I cried when I picked up my puppy today, they just cut all of his hair out & did not take the time to give him a nice trim, they just chopped it all off... also, they gave me a time frame of 2hours & ended up keeping my dog for 6 hours Idk where my dog was or where they had him or if he was ok. The lady was super rude & seemed very annoyed when I called to ask about my dog. Just a tiny harmless shih poo got a bald haircut.. they brought him out after I had already paid if I would of seen it before I wouldn't had paid them a dime, my dog also came home super thirsty,'im guessing they didn't give him water while keeping him in a cage for 6hours... this place needs to be inspected immediately! I highly recommend the bakery's Lobster Cat Treats. We got a bag for our cats for Christmas and had to come back for more because one of my cats (likely a raccoon in a former life) got into the bag and housed the whole thing! I would recommend storing them in a mason jar with a lid on them so your cats don't do the same. Also the groomers did a great job clipping our cranky senior cat's nails. They did it in 10 minutes and they got all four paws! We were amazed. read more

Although I gave instructions on how I wanted her to NOT have a line around her body and be blended instead, she was cut the same as my other dog 7 years ago. I've been taking my long haired cat (average every 6 weeks) to get her nails and bum trimmed for a little over a half year. Every time it's $10 which I think is great and there's not many places that do cats. There's one staff member that I have a difficult time with. They don't seem to trim all 4 paws (only the 2 front ones) u less you specifically ask and her tail looks very uneven and choppy. There always seem to be chunks of hair falling from her tail when she gets home. I brought her in recently and the staff member went to charge us $20! Then asked her coworker how much it was and charged us the usual $10. There's another staff member that is wonderful with our cat. read more

We really wanted to like this place and support a small business - but the last reviewer was right - they must be too busy and overwhelmed because the quality of grooming is horrendous! Dropped my goldendoodle off for her first grooming here. She has been groomed before with no troubles. Her hair was long, about 2 inches and curly. So I asked for a teddy bear cut with about half an inch off. We knew she had some mats, but they were not that bad and we had brushed out most of them before her appointment. Well - I came to pick her up and she was SHAVED. Her face was still long and so was her tail. She had knots around her neck that I had to comb out after getting home and her ears still look dirty. Doesn't look like they cut her nails as asked. Her head is also not cut evenly on the top, and it's obvious so she looks ridiculous. They didn't trim around her privates either. She also looks, smells and feels like they didn't even bathe her. As if they felt shaving her was enough and she didn't need a bath anymore. When I walked in they said "she's a little shorter than you asked for." Overall, they didn't call to let me know she was finished as they said they would. More than 4 dogs walked in behind me when I was dropping her off, all for grooming. And now I have a shaved goldendoodle with a furry face and tail that looks ridiculous. A waste of 60.00. read more

We've been bringing our 60 pound golden doodle here for a while and they always do a fantastic job. Great prices too. PetSmart once told me they couldn't groom him because he was too matted (we make an effort to brush) but Paws and Claws took very good care of him. read more

I have two Maltese that I use to have groomed by Pretty Paws Pet Salon in Millis. I had brought my dogs to Terry for years and her sudden and unfortunate death left a huge hole in the dog grooming industry. I have tried several groomers and they have all been mediocre. I called Paws & Claws and the woman I spoke with assured me they have experience grooming the Maltese breed. When I dropped them off I spent considerable time showing the groomer pictures and explaining the desired style. Upon picking them up I could not believe how terrible my dogs looked. They were essentially shaved down to nothing and what made things worse is the unevenness of their hair cut. Not only is the hair irregular all over their body, but if you look at them head on their faces look warped. The only pleasure of the job performed is it made my children laugh at how bad they look. I do not recommend them and would never bring another pet to them! Don't take my word for it - look at the picture and form your own opinion. read more

Even though their cat section of the store is small. Every toy I get there for my cats they love so much. Ive already bought two of their crochet toy mice cause my cats fight over it. The groomers do not know how to properly groom! First time I went there I said a very light trim they ended up shaving my dog! I gave them another chance . I brought my dog back a second time her cut was uneven and they shaved half of her tail. I'm still waiting on a call from the person in charge. I really think they need more training and to listen to people. I will never go back again read more

If i could rate 0 stars i would. My 16 year old cat was left unattended to, as they were unable to remove mats "because there was too many" (isnt that a groomers job?), and could not be bathed and was left in his carrier in the back neglected for 3 hours. I specifically stated to call me immediately when he was finished as he is older & anxious in his carrier & I would be their right away but I was unable to do so because the staff waited hours to call me because as they told me they got "busy with other dogs". Why would they not call me after I dropped him off in the morning if they were unable to groom him? Maybe because he was forgotten about. Only for Lisa to not only acknowledge it or apologize. Once I got home I ended up actually brushing him out myself & he looks great. Looking forward to finding a professional groomer who cares for their clients & their pets. And doesn't expect an apology for a situation that should have never happened. I really LOVE this place. My dog, Oliver, is also a big fan. He basically drags me in wagging his tail. The girls are great to him and he always looks and smells delicious when I pick him up. I also love that there is never any rush to pick him up. If I need to run some extra errands they don't mind keeping him for a while. I've been to quite a few groomers over the years (I move a lot), but Paws & Claws is by far the best groomer I've been to! This is a small, family run business and you can tell they truly care about all of the animals and doing their best work. I have a very nervous dog and even she feels comfortable hanging out with Lisa when I leave. The bakery is adorable and boasts a wide variety of natural snacks. I LOVE this place! The owners/workers are so friendly, my dog was a little scared when he got there because he's only a year old but they helped him get through it so well. I was very specific as to how I wanted them to cut him and they said it was all my preference and were very understanding and willing to do what I wanted for my dog. Its also a great place because you can drop your dog off at your appointment time and they call you when your dog is done! It's a pet groomer and a pet bakery. They make all natural treats on the premises with the highest quality meats and ingredients (he gets the ingredients from whole foods)! They have all kinds of organic chewing things like bones, pig ears, and even some cool things like chicken feet! I will definitely be back! read more

I do not usually write reviews but I felt a need to let people know the experience I had at Paws and Claws. When I called to make the appointment they told me the price for both of my dogs but when I picked them up it was almost double the price. When I told them the price given they stated my dogs were a lot of work. I have taken to other groomers to have the same things done and never was told that by other groomer and been charge more that agreed price. My dogs are sweet and gentle and so easy going so there is no way my dogs where to much work. When I got home I notice one of my dogs nails not completely done so I had to take her somewhere else to get her nails trimmed. Also, I notice little blood spots on her under belly where her nipples used to be. THEY CUT THEM OFF!!!!!!!! I will NEVER recommend this place to anybody. It's not just they screwed me out of money but the hurt my dog. I never not tipped someone for taking care of my dogs but I did at Paws and Claws. read more

I was not going to do this review but I have been very upset every time I look at my cat. I know my cat is very difficult, he is deaf and declawed so he is scared very easy. My friends recommended this place to me since their cats are not easy too. They told me the place will call you if they have a hard time to do it and let you know they will do the best they can. I didn't receive any call so I thought everything went well. When I went to pick him up, the lady did mention that my cat is very difficult so I have to pay $20 extra, total $65 and I tip her another $20. I didn't take a look at my cat before I left because I trust them. Unfortunately, I was not happy at all when I got home, and what I saw. There were a lot of uneven cutting like steps everywhere from neck to tail (I wish I can show a picture), it was really really bad. Long pieces of hair hanging down here and there. My cat was very upset, a minute he got out from the carrier, he peed on the floor and hiding at the corner. I felt so bad. I looked in the carrier, it was full with chunks of hair. After that everywhere that my cat walked by, there will be a chunk of hair falling from him, and it looks like from cutting, not naturally. I need to brush him all over again, and of course lots of hair coming out. I called my friends, sent them pictures of my cat, and told them what happened. They were shocked and told me at least he smells good. Not really, I don't smell anything and I don't think they even bath or brush my cat. It just ashamed that a professional and well known place like this, sending out an unfinished and ugly job to the client and charge more than regular. My boyfriend and I wandered in to the bakery today not knowing what to expect. Sure we figured they would have a few cookies and what not but it was so much more. They had every kind if treat for every kind of diet you could want. The owners are some of the kindest most welcoming people we have met in a while, the type of people you know have a good heart and love what they do. We love everything about Paws and Claws! When you walk into Paws and Claws your dog is treated like it belongs to them. They are greeted, patted and reassured they are cared for.
