My rescue dog- that I was going to euthanize, because his "issues" were more than my family could handle, even though he was NOT our first rescue dog- Michelle saved his life, my sanity, and gave me back a dog that's FINALLY happy, wonderful, well adjusted & a contributing member of the family!!!! He misses her SO much too! She was also excellent with our 'less neurotic' dogs- it was her delight to walk them till they came home exhausted & too tired to chew up everything we own! She needs to open a franchise, so my dogs can still experience what we used to have :(

I will say, when we started attending there about 3 years ago, we had a really hard time getting a hold of someone to set up an appointment but there was a different tech running the front desk at the time and she could come across unfriendly but she no longer works there. We have a small farm and Dr. Sinnamon sees all our animals besides our cows. She and her team have been so friendly with all of our animals and have truly gone above and beyond for us! I really appreciate the way the staff takes the time to ask questions to understand the problem as well as educating us on the situation and provide helpful tips. If we ever had to leave AA Vet Care to go somewhere else, I would have such a hard time trusting anyone else because the staff here really treats all of our pets as their own with so much love and care. I'd recommend them a thousand times over to anyone and everyone!

I brought my fur baby (Perci the kitty) to AA to be neutered and have a frontal declaw in 2017. (It was that or I could t have him in my apartment don't come for me.) I made an appointment over the phone and was given the cost. When I came to pick him up they told me OVER DOUBLE the price. I said "woah I was told less than half that when I made the appointment or I wouldn't have brought him here!" They told me that neutering was on special but since I had that and another procedure done, it canceled the special. They treated me like I was an idiot for thinking I would be charged the amount that THEY told me over the phone upon making the appointment. I never went back but my parents did. They had such a horrible time since then as well. Their poor dog has been suffering from yeast infections in his ears for years now. This vet clinic treats my parents like they're a burden for continuing to want to figure this out and NOTHING they've done has made any progress for him. They took him someone else and got him on an antibiotic but now that is making him sick. He's in pain. He won't eat or drink. My mom frantically has been leaving messages (for 3 days) to get him in and has been ignored until finally today they got him in for fluids. While my mom was asking what to do over the weekend if he will still not drink she was scolded by the tech for "waiting too long". What an unbelievable slap in the face after being ignored by them for 3 day! Who says something like that to someone who is broken hearted and doing all they can for their baby!? She told her that she had been trying to get him in but has not been getting a response from them to which the tech replied "maybe if you weren't like THAT". HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!? This set my dad off and he said "just whatever we won't be back here". She took the needle giving my parents dog the fluids he needs to stay alive out of his paw and screamed at them to "GET OUT". My parents dog is suffering and will likely not make it through the weekend. They could have helped but are unprofessional and obviously not caring about animals. HEARTBREAKING. If you love your pet like they're your baby. DO NOT use this clinic.

She acted like we neglected our dog because she had fleas. She gets frontline every month, so we really didn't know she had fleas. That lady said she would give us flea meds "at cost" which was $70, they were expired. So she sold us expired meds. I've never been treated so rude and made to feel like trash by anyone there and that's how that lady made us feel. It was sickening really. Now we will have to find a new vet because I don't feel like they will be nice to our pets now.

My poor baby had a heart condition and hyperthyroidism and Dr. Hughes gave him a steroid shot! You should never give a pet with either of those conditions a steroid! My poor baby was dead 3 days later! We had been going to Dr. Hughes for several years now and it was know my cat had seasonal allergies and had asthma. Typically when they got bad Hughes would give him a shot and he was better, but since 01/01/2025 my husband and I noticed he was struggling more with his asthma. He had started to open mouth breath a couple days before our appt with Hughes. When we showed up on 1/9/2025 Hughes didn't act with any urgency nor did he do any labs or imaging. Just gave him a shot and sent us out the door. The next day our cat had a rapid decline in heath, so much so we had to take him to MedVet 24 hr Emergency care in Carmel. Immediately he was triaged and was put into an oxygen cage, labs and imaging done. Found out he was suffering from severe hyperthyroidism, toxic congested heart failure, he had a pleural effusion that was drained and had nodules in his lungs. When the ER vet found out he got a steroid shot he was livid. They did their best and told us without the steroid shot he might have lived a couple more months and been comfortable but with the steroid shot he wouldn't have long. He had to be put to sleep the never next day because he was struggling so badly!!! I went to Dr.Hughes to tell him what happened and to ask for my money back for his negligence and essentially expedited my cats passing and he laughed at me! He then told me he wouldn't give me the money back and tried to put the blame on me and my husband. He was really sarcastic with me and asked "would giving you back that $95 dollars really make you happy?" I was appalled by his lack of caring or the lack of guilt in his part of my cats death. In the end I had to be a bit if a Karen to get my $95 back and then was given my records and banned from his office. GOOD! No one who cares for their sick pets or elder pets should take them to Hughes unless you want them to die to his negligence!!!

They were able to schedule us quickly for a tech appointment to get them clipped. We were taken back to a room immediately, waited no more than a minute for the techs to come to the room. They were very sweet with my fearful dog as well as my toddlers. Nails were quickly clipped and paw pads cleaned up where they were punctured. In and out in less than 10 minutes. A different place I had called initially was telling me they would have to put him under anesthesia and pay an emergency visit fee before they even saw how minimally ingrown they were. Really appreciate a vet that evaluates and charges appropriately!!
