I can tell she is very knowledgable and in high demand! I had a very complicated pregnancy and she held my hand every step of the way. The practice has 5 doctors and they want you to meet them all so you know them very well but towards the end if you have a specific request when you do your birth plan they try to have that doctor deliver you. These doctors work very hard delivering babies, doing surgeries, some nights they don't sleep so I know it must be hard for them..but THEY ALL were caring and compassionate so in the end I didn't have a preference. Dr Reese delivered my little girl, ensured my family was there and even helped me take really cute pictures, she didn't cut me and I didn't tear!! It was such a beautiful experience!! I'll have these memories for a life time...going through the pregnancy was rough and hormonal and scary and I was afraid to do it again...but now I'm back to see them ;) I would encourage you Lillibeth to give them another try it sounds like a lot of miscommunication ...I have been in Coral Springs for 15yrs, your not going to find another practice like them and get all the attention and care you need unless you probably go to see a doctor that is solo ... And even a doctor that is solo may not deliver you because it's impossible for them to be oncall 365 nights a year...these other practices have other doctors covering for them so when it's time for you to deliver...a complete stranger is delivering your baby...Good luck!!

As soon as my provider walked in the room she didn't ask how I was doing or why I was in. She IMMEDIATELY said, "Hey girl, I don't want to do this operation on you," without asking my past history or any pertinent information. It felt more like I was getting coffee with a friend and she was recommending me not to get this done and felt extremely unprofessional. I had to explain my traumatic experiences with Kowalski to then be met with, "let's try other options." As someone who had tried other options, had already used myself as a lab rat to try multiple different medications and treatments growing up, I did not want to be offered the "stay fertile, you're young!" options. I understand that some providers may not feel comfortable with sterilization on certain people (young and fertile) but some patients don't want to have to unearth their entire past. Due to past medical history/phobias I can't do shots or implants, and she heavily pushed IUDs and Nexplanon, then Kowalski was upset when I started getting panicked and emotional. She didn't hear me out about my fears and ended it with, "Well it looks like we don't work together well and we can see someone else," When trying to explain how I've been waiting for this appointment for months and had to schedule time off work/can't afford to miss more days off work, she got extremely exasperated and said, "I'm trying to work with you, but you're making it hard." I wanted her to document in my chart that she didn't want to have this done due to her own personal beliefs/was not open to discussing it or my current situation, and she told me she didn't want to write it in my chart because it was a negative experience for everyone." I immediately called my primary doctor's office and let them know about the interaction so they wouldn't recommend any other patients to the practice that had similar issues to mine. I do not recommend her to anyone who doesn't not want a "negative experience" like this. At the end of the day, I left the office with red eyes/crying and absolutely embarrassed.

I live closer to Peoria than Bloomington however after calling almost every OBGYN in the Peoria area and either being rejected because I was not currently pregnant,told that there was no available appointments for approx. 6 months or just not willing to even consider a clinic where the front desk staff was so rude that you knew they just hated their jobs I found Dr. Santiago's office. I was so relieved when I called the office and the front desk staff super was nice, they could get me in within a couple weeks, their first question wasn't "do you have insurance and what kind?" I don't know what it is about that being one of the first questions that bugs me so much...I think maybe because it just seems like money is the only thing that's important. I get it they want paid but it could be after a series of other important questions. Anyways, let's skip to my first appointment. The front desk staff were super nice and professional, the wait was minimal. Dr. Santiago explained what having a fibroid my size meant and unfortunately my only options involved surgery. He explained the pros and cons to both options, listened to all of my concerns, was super compassionate and ordered an MRI so there could be more clear cut measurements/location so I could make an appropriate decision. All my other visits/conversations with Dr. Santiago were compassionate and he listened and answered all of my questions. At times I was very emotional and he was so caring and understanding. I decided to have a hysterectomy, to say that I was nervous would be an understatement but Dr. Santiago took very good care of me. My uterus ended up being very large making it more difficult to pull off a robotic surgery but instead of taking the easy route and making a giant cut across my belly he took the extra time and I only had 5 cuts resulting is less healing time on my end. If you are in need of a good doctor, look no further!

I…read morehave insurance which they billed as new patient care (fine, but honestly 240.00 is pretty high), however the experience was uncomfortable and Amanda Boitnott seemed to have rather unconventional practices for diagnosis and treatment. I entered the office (early for my appt- relevant to the phone call I just had with office management), and was greeted and asked to fill out paperwork- totally standard and their office waiting area is really* nice almost spa like. I thought wow this is a great start! Then I get called back quickly and the paperwork I had only half filled out (I and my family have unfortunately a long history of medically relevant things I have to write on that sheet), when I mentioned this the nurse said "it doesn't matter I'll ask you the relevant questions". That was off putting and then a quick (and I mean quick) pre-exam was done where I mentioned I am trying to get pregnant, and so far nothing has happened was scrawled on the form and she told me to get undressed and wait for the dr. So I'm waiting and the PA comes in, and starts the exam. She's kind of dismissive and then does the exam where she says my issues should clear on their own and I don't need medication. No swabs were done, no inquiry about discomfort, but did say that micro tears could be the cause. She then says "if you're not pregnant in 6 months I'd like to do a follicle exam and make sure you're still able to have babies. Even if you still get your monthlies it would be helpful to know where you're at." There was an over all dismissive nature to my original complaints and then almost a prompting of trying to get me to consent to other services- similar to being at a car dealership. It was extremely uncomfortable and I left with the same issues I came in with. With that said I received a bill for what was left that insurance didn't cover and when I called the office manager was also extremely dismissive. She then said that the PA could have charged me at a level 4 from the time I walked into the building to the time I left, but only charged me a level 3, and that because she's so conservative for her patients she doesn't do swabs unless there's something ABUNDANTLY obvious. Excuse me? So you're disregarding patients complaints and deciding that they'll go away on their own? Spoiler alert it didn't and I had to go buy monistat and treat the issue myself. She then went into how I clearly don't know how insurance works (which maybe I'm no savant but like, if someone doesn't do anything for you and gives you mad anxiety regarding medical care, do you pay them?) I would have been better off going to planned parenthood. At least if I had to pay them, they would have done something for me. Must have been and easy 240.00.... I'm honestly disgusted with the lack of care and professionalism displayed by this office.

His staff is always caring and respectful I mean it's not always the most comfortable doctors appointment they make it so. When I was having issues and went to other doctors who wrote me off I went to Dr.Jain he listened and done test come to find out I needed a hysterectomy which he preformed I had minimal pain and quick recovery. She is amazingly attentive, answers all questions, provides a good bedside manner, professional, friendly, personable, and all other things you could think of. Everyone in that office was great (the front desk staff, friend techs, friendly sonographers). I didn't see the other doctor or midwife there. And thankfully, Dr. Svientek was on call when I went into labor! She's great! She remembers things you tell her at the first appointment (that I had forgotten w/ pregnancy brain and all). Most importantly, he respects all his patients and is very responsive - his answering service after hours does an excellent job of getting ahold of him in the event that you need to contact him. As many of you know, this is HUGE and nothing is worse than not being able to reach your doctor when you need him the most. Scheduling an appointment with his staff is always a pleasant experience - something you don't really get with larger group practices. I would highly recomment Doc. Hanna and the Lakeshore Ob/Gyn staff.
