TL;DR: Ruth at Paxton Apartments is a gem. She's been incredibly helpful, responsive, and genuinely kind throughout my move-in process (scheduled for October). The apartments are modern, quiet (incredible soundproofing!), pet-friendly, and located near your everyday stores. I'm excited to be moving in soon and highly recommend scheduling a tour! ------- I've been working with Ruth since August in preparation for my October 2nd move-in, and I truly can't say enough good things about her. From day one, she made the onboarding process smooth, friendly, and as stress free as you can get when it comes to moving. She went above and beyond to help me understand every step of the application and lease process. Ruth followed up quickly, offered call-backs when I needed clarification, and even walked me through missing documents or possible issues before they ever became a problem. She's kind, knowledgeable, and seems to actually care about the people she's working with. When I toured the apartments this past week, Ruth did a great job placing me in a unit that suits my needs perfectly! It gets just the right amount of sunlight, is ideal for dog walks, and has convenient access to both the garage and elevator. It genuinely felt like she listened and matched me with care, not just whatever was available. I'm really excited to move in, especially now that construction is wrapping up and residents are starting to move in toward the end of September and early October. Ruth even let me know that move-ins can reserve the elevator by appointment, which is super helpful. The apartments themselves are fresh, modern, and built with amazing soundproofing (there was active construction outside, and I didn't even notice until I opened the balcony door). The location is also great since it's near 5 Points Plaza, the beach, freeway access, and near Beach Blvd./Main for stores like Target, Walmart, H-Mart. Bonus: you can ALSO skip Beach Blvd traffic during peak hours due to where it's situated. Be sure to check out Paxton as they're having promotions and schedule a tour. I found Paxton after trying to tour other apartment complexes in the area, and I say trying, because it was impossible to set up a tour at some places or if you visit, there are never any staff in sight. A huge red flag for what it would be like live there. This doesn't happen at Paxton. I gave Paxton a call and someone picked up IMMEDIATELY and said I could come in right then. My first experience walking into the building was immediately being greeted by staff and Ruth! The building itself is brand new so it's already eye-catching and promising from the start, including multiple staff within view who are ready to help. I was able to tour many of the units, which were all very clean and brand new. They all had looked to be top-of-the-line Samsung appliances. And the unit itself was only part of what was being offered here. After Ruth helped me check out a lot of the units, we checked out the brand new gym, the roof-top pool which is private from the public, and the brand new stainless steel grills that get cleaned DAILY by maintenance. They have private areas where you can get into a conference type room and work, they have so much to offer here it's incredible. They also do regular events where you can meet others who live there, and you get free food! And there's also free coffee (I think like 10/month at this very nice coffee machine on the first floor). Honestly, you find yourself picking and choosing for amenities after already accepting you're going to have to pay more, but with this place, you don't need to pick and choose, you have it here. And you get a little extra too. After deciding what unit I'd like to have, the process for applying was very simple. Ruth sat down with me and helped me apply and I was approved and ready to go by the next day. Ruth even saved me some breakfast from an event they had earlier that day! Exceptional service and very friendly staff overall. It's a completely different experience than what I've had with other places. read more

Wanted to leave a quick review for the leasing office, especially Ruth and Nycole, for being a great help during the touring and move-in process. I am pretty particular when picking a unit (layout, location in building, lighting, etc.) and they were very patient in helping me look again and again until I came to a final decision. I also had many questions when confirming all the policies on the lease, payment, and promotions which Ruth answered all of these in detail. The move in process was pretty seamless, and since living at Paxton, Ruth has been especially helpful as I learned to navigate the different amenities and parcel system. Maintenance is always an important factor for me, and they have been very responsive from my experience thus far. Security is also highly enforced on the property so you might have to work with it if you use a lot of delivery services outside of normal business hours but at least you know your belongings and self are safe. In terms of the property, there are great amenities which I have yet to use all as it's only been a month. I've had no problems with the appliances in my apartment, although I will say the cabinets and all are pretty tall and due to the water saving requirements the toilet does have slightly lower water pressure than I'm used to. Also, a bonus is a lot of parking spots have storage above to keep any extra belongings. Neighbors are friendly, noise is minimal but if you're particular about this make sure to ask if your neighbors above have dogs. The location is great in terms of how accessible Hmart, Costco, restaurants, gas stations, banks and more are. The drive down beach in the morning to the freeway is actually pretty light, if commute is a factor. I will update this as I live here longer, but so far I've had a pretty good experience living here with minimal downsides and great support from the leasing office. The on-site staff can be a major factor regarding the experience you have living anywhere and Paxton's team, being friendly and responsive, is definitely worth checking out. read more

High density with very small rooms. Dogs barking and pooping on public sidewalk. Kid friendly - screaming and yelling just out of control. You are surrounded by Senior apartments, yet your place is kid friendly. No place for them to park so they are on our streets for our cars not yours. No wonder nobody is living there.
