While I did still end up purchasing the system for less than what other places were charging, the final total included an unexpected $25 tax and an additional credit card surcharge of around 3%. Altogether, I paid close to $70 more than the price I was initially quoted. The product itself was fine, and the base price was still competitive compared to other shops, but I don't appreciate being given one number over the phone and another in person--especially after making a long drive based on that information. Clear and consistent pricing would go a long way here.
