We found a leak coming from inside a wall, and he came prepared with everything he needed to cut into the wall (carefully and locally after hearing the background and doing a little detective work of his own on-site) and fix the leak. Bryant was careful with the drywall he removed, so I can reinstall and seal it once everything dries out. He set my time for 7pm, arrived early& within 15 minutes had found my main backup, but found a leak that was costing money to calwater. Aaron walked me through everything, was amazing throughout. Told me that my entire house needs new plumbing and he wouldn't he surprised if I leak occurred once he left, claimed to have fixed the issue...(surprise) had another plumber come after to repair the very badly done job. Kim was the office worker who helped me setup my appointment and was very nice to me. Chris was my technician from Payless plumbing. He was so polite and explained everything so clearly to me. I had a water leak under my patio, which meant concrete had to be removed before the repair could take place. He was very careful to remove as little as possible so that there was minimal damage. He was fast and efficient about the repair. He even cleaned up after himself, which was so thoughtful. I was given what I considered a fair estimate and the work was done promptly. Always on time, within the hours they quote and they call when they are on the way. I had two toilets that needed the valves and water lines replaced. In and out in about 35 min. They charge $85/hr and the whole bill including parts was $139. I have used them on several occasions now and they have never let me down. Absolute trash. I was given a window of 4 hours for their company to stop by. I expressed that I'd be working during this time and I asked if I can receive a call 30 minutes prior to their arrival so that I have time to leave work. They show up (with no call), I cannot immediately leave work and then they charge me their $45 consultation fee because their representative came out. Not a good way to do business. First contact with Payless was about 2 years ago my neighbor was having their house repiped by Chris.I was going on vacation and wanted to turn water off to house but keep landscape system working. I had Chris put in a bypass which took him about 15 minutes. Fast forward to last week I had a leak in my attic above the bathroom, Bryan fixed that leak and within a few days another leak in attic above kitchen! Well time to have whole house repiped! I didn't get any other estimates as Payless had already proved to me they were very prompt, always got a text or email indicating they were on their way! They did an amazing job, started on a Monday, finishing Wednesday afternoon, I had Kern drywall lined up to patch/paint , whole repiping done in 5 days! Just a great team effort by Bryan and Josh at the house doing the repipe and Kim in the office who did an outstanding job coordinating the whole effort. from 2022 Guy came out and check the attic for leak when the ceiling is destroyed from moist and said there is no leaks from pipes.its says its from the roof,I went to check it myself there is copper pipe right at the top of leak point dripping hot water now I have to deal with back mold as well. I called Payless Plumbing on a weekend for an urgent problem at my rental house (no hot water!). They promptly responded, the technician diagnosed the problem, explained it to me, and checked to see that the water heater was under warranty (which it was), saving me money because I didn't have to pay for parts. This "plumber" was contracted by FNHW to go to my home last Monday to diagnose a water heater that was not working. The person they sent stated that the temperature sensor was not working and that they would bypass the sensor for the time being and order a new sensor to install. The sensor was bypassed but the water heater remained inoperable. When I called Payless back to inquire as to when I could expect the new/ordered sensor to be installed I was told my order ticket had been closed out already as "only needed pilot light to be lit" and there was no other work that they were going to do. In my opinion this company should be avoided at all costs due to poor/substandard work, indifference towards customer's concerns and lying. What pisses me off is that he used the sponge we use for washing dishes under the kitchen sink and left it in the bucket with dirty water that had had been dripping in there. Called them for an estimate to re-pipe the house. Was told they charged $45.00 for an estimate which would be applied to any work done. I agreed and someone came out and went through the house. He took my email address and I was told the guy who writes up the estimates would get back to me. This was on a Tuesday morning. I had not heard anything by Thursday and so I called to inquire. The woman on the line told me he had the information and she would have him get back to me that day. Never heard back. Called back on Friday and she looked it up and said he was out in the field but he had the information. She said she would contact him and get right back to me. I never heard back. I was charged $45.00 and I still have not gotten an estimate. In the meantime I had other companies come and give me estimates. Not one of them charged for it and they got back to me right away with their estimates. Payless was very unprofressional. I will be disputing any charge that shows on my credit card. Like the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." We always hope we can get high quality work at low prices, but that's rarely the case. Since I have a home warranty, all I have to pay is the flat service call fee, but Payless isn't even worth that! In fact, they almost cost me a whole lot more. They misdiagnosed the water backup from the toilet, saying the sewer line was broken. Not only would that have caused me to pay to have the foundation cut open and the flooring be replaced, but it also would've caused the water damage to not be covered under homeowner's insurance. Good thing I asked for a second opinion before tearing up the floor of the house. Honest Plumber was dispatched and they found the water backup to be caused by a stuck flapper in the toilet tank. Simple fix that saved me thousands of dollars. Don't try to pay less with Payless, you'll end up paying much more. read more

I finally found a plumber I trust. Payless Plumbing has been out to my residence for three separate problems and each one was fixed in a timely manner by a knowledgeable professional. The service professional had his mask on too adhering to CoVid regulations which was nice. He always had me check his work and answered any questions I had in a way I clearly understood. I had asked Payless to come and do some service at my home on a gas line, yes the employee by name Cris performed the inspection on August 23 at 1 pm and promised to give me a quote up untill today I have not heard from him but I did hear from his office requesting the credit card number for the $70.00 dollars he charged the same day August 23 I called the office back to ask and see if the man had made the estimate on the repair she said that she would call Cris, never heard from either one of them. She kept asking me for a credit card payment and would not give me the option for cash or check. She told me someone needs to be there during the time of services, um obviously. Then said she needs to have a credit card on file for the services, as if it was not going to be paid in person. When I asked her do they take cash or check upon services she said "cash, check, or credit card" but kept inquiring she needs the card on file. The supposedly fixed the problem, but one of the hose bibs that they repaired started leaking again less than a year later. HIGHLY recommend Payless Plumbing. After a bathroom back up lead to a verdict that the sewage line was deteriorating in this 60+ year old house, my mom was referred to Payless. They were very professional, scheduled this urgent job the next day, and a very reasonable price quote. The work done was thorough, the workers courteous and minimal down time with water shut off. The entire sewage repipe was completed in 2.5 days. The lawn nicely replaced. And, the job came in $200 BELOW the high end of the quote. I have read some of the negative reviews.
