Danilo explained the whole process that was going to happen. Dr. Kirchart is an excellent doctor. She's so knowledgeable and also explains the importance of dental care. I also had a nice conversation with LVT Jen. She's so smart and caring. She also took very great care of Tito. Juan did a great job monitoring Tito while under anesthesia. If these 4 people did such a great job, I'm 100% sure the rest of the staff is equally amazing! Totally recommend getting your pets cared for here. Front staff is also very helpful and polite! My dog goes to different practice because he was already on a plan when I adopted him and it made more sense to keep him on that plan, but my cats (& previous dogs) were patients here & we used to board our dogs here too. When they were good, I would constantly tell people to go here but after we had a hellish experience we shared our trauma & literally told people to stay far away from here! And we stayed far away from here! My good times here have been amazing & one of the vets saved my beautiful baby during the same hellish experience with the jerk of a vet who caused us to let go of our baby. But sadly the amazing vet moved and so I swore this place off! I needed a new vet and I really went down the rabbit hole of research and was actually brought right back here and I am so grateful that we found Dr. Candace Flynn! She is simply a dream and the most amazing, compassionate and caring vet I think I have ever met and my kitty is so comfortable with her it's pure love! Dr. Flynn, who deserves FIVE STARS+++, is also wonderful with her advice and guidance. She's very communicative and informative and just well-rounded with a holistic approach, but the amount of time and love she spends with your pet (and you) is priceless!!! They are a 24-hour emergency care, veterinary hospital, fully equipped, and fully staffed round the clock. They also have a separate, waiting room for dogs and cats to help ease the anxiety. They also have two sister hospitals in both Clifton and Arlington, Virginia. Yes, they are a bit pricier but you're inside the beltway & 15 minutes from DC so what do you expect?! Thankfully, there has been more good than bad and I know which vet to steer clear from & I still forewarn people about her! 7/2/27

We met a few days before our departure which was day after Christmas. Within two days of our consult, one of our dogs became ill and had to be hospitalized during Christmas Eve due to reaction to a pain medication and was discharged Christmas Day. We contemplated canceling our vacation but didn't and relied on Gabriela and her team to take care of our dog while she recovered (slowly). She needed medications, extra attention, as well as taking care of another dog while we were away for 5 days. We almost canceled our trip but glad we didn't as Burke Center Pet Sitting took care of our fukids and helped our sick one recover during our absence. They communicated every day, checked in our dogs multiple times a day, dispensed medications, and cleaned up after a sick dog. Within the first day we were confident we made the right decision. I can go on about how great Burke Centre Pet Sitting is but the simplest way to put it is we put in their hands a dog that was hospitalized Christmas Eve and they were able to take care of her and make us comfortable to enjoy our vacation. Walks are 15-25 minutes each day with lots of interaction with the dog walker so these are happy pups! 2. I get tons of photos via text and email of their walks each day which are time stamped. 3. Dog walkers are extremely reliable and on time. 4. Easy online portal which allows you to make easy changes to the schedule and also provides a report card of how they handled their business and any pertinent information. 5. They always give the dogs water before and after their walk and a treat if you request they provide one of your treats. 6. Very responsive at all hours including weekends, especially when you have a last minute situation that comes up and need a dog walker. 7. Easy and accurate weekly billing. NEGATIVES: None. BONUS: Melissa also went the extra mile and corrected some of the bad behaviors that the dogs picked up from a previous, less competent dog walker. I saw he was recommended on my neighborhood's mailing list so I gave them a call. When I contacted working walks, the owner Dave came by with the walker who would be caring for my dog. They both sat with me and my dog to understand what challenges I wanted to work on and shared their impressions. Then we went on a walk together and they asked me to point out behaviors I'd like to see improve. Dave and his well qualified walker listened and started working on calm greeting of other dogs and sitting before crossing streets. I saw results almost immediately on my walks, and that's continued to today (over a year later!) I can't recommend Dave and his walkers enough, he bends over backwards to make sure your dogs needs and your scheduling needs are met. Oh yeah, he also has an incredible boarding service.
