I built a new PC but had difficulty getting into the BIOS despite spending hours trying everything I knew or could research. So, I set aside my pride and took it to Joe and Mike at PC Care in Erie even though they are 45 miles away. Joe was absolutely GREAT and the service was fast. He not only got my BIOS to boot, but he also updated it for me...and even gave me a source of supply for a RGB cable that he noticed I needed. If you need a PC fixed, these are the guys to bring it to. They are true honest, knowledgeable professionals who do a great job and do not hurt your pocketbook. I took my five-year-old desktop to PC Care when the Geek Squad at a well-known electronics outlet told me that it needed a new power supply, probably, and that if they sent it out it could take up to six weeks to determine for sure, and that even if it was the power supply they probably wouldn't be able to find one. I questioned this: "You can't get it fixed because it's obsolete? It's only five years old!" The reply: "It's not that it's obsolete, it's just that they stop making replacement components for PCs a couple years after they come out, because people are buying newer models." I left before my head exploded and took it to PC Care. Mike and Joe couldn't have been nicer, said 'no problem, we'll check it out and call you.' Long story short, turns out it wasn't the power supply, it was the motherboard. Got a new one, a few associated components, and had it back in operation in a couple weeks. I would recommend PC Care to anyone. They are professionals, extraordinarily qualified, and true gentlemen in every sense of the word. read more

Mike and Joe, brothers at PC Care, are both very nice and thoughtful. when making an appointment to take my PC into their shop. When they had to tell me I needed a new hard drive, as my computer (PC) was already 3 years old I couldn't have asked for a better estimate for what they gave me and boy does that PC really hum now. Joe warned me that I would be surprised the first time I got on when I took it home. I was able to go places I have never been before, sounds like a vacation. Terrible service. Only reason they get one star is because I can't give them zero. Clearly expressed my need for haste with my PC. To which the store owner made me believe he would see to it quickly. Come to find out a day later he had plans on going on vacation for a week. He clearly left this out the day I left my PC there, and decide to only tell after he already taken a look at it and putting a price tag on his services of $39.99. A week and a half later he tells me that he was googling my problem.... Why would a "PC repair shop" need go google my problem? They should know the problem not be grasping at straws. Due to this I sought a second opinion from a competitor. Come to find out it is a power supply problem not a mother board issue. Do not come here. read more
