I have been in PC World once since it opened a couple of years ago. Not only do they have a terrible reputation nationwide, not helped by the fact their adverts used to show storage being advertised as memory!
But I met one of the assistant managers several times, and began discussing the ins and outs of computers. Needless to say she didn't have a clue, she denied various processors even existed never mind were available, and stumbled over the most basic of operations for a computer.
If the staff don't know how a computer works or how to build one, how on earth cane they help consumers.
The shop itself does sell the basics needed for home computing, and their prices are reasonable, however I would only use them if absolutely desperate. Items like printer inks are cheaper in Tesco which is only 2 minutes down the road. read more
