PDA Road Gear installed a complete car stereo system, ditch lights, CB radio, cell phone extender, and trailer brake controller in my new Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. I chose PDA due to their long history (1980) and numerous positive reviews. I was not disappointed; Guy was friendly and professional and anticipated what I would want and checked in when he had questions. The install was scheduled for the next day and was completed the following day. I QA'd the work and was amazed at the level of quality and specifically on the attention to smallest details. I highly recommend PDA Road Gear for any auto electronic work!

Great service! Cade was very knowledgable and helped me through the process of selecting and installing a modern radio for a classic car.

He said he could confirm the attachment and install it for me. Great news for me! Today I went to the store and asked for Mike. The woman behind the counter said he wasnt and asked what I needed. Told her about my discussion yesterday and she came out and looked at the car. It quickly devolved from there. Her: "There is no way we can help you because of the arm of your windshield wiper" Me: "Mike said he could do it" Her:"He cant, why do you think we know how to do this?" Me:"Because Mike said he could and you work at an automotive store. Dont you know more about cars than regular people?" Her:"No" Me:"How do you know he cant?" Her:"Because we would have to remove your hood to do it" Me:"Why are you acting like I did something wrong here, shouldnt you just apologize and let me know you cant do this? Her:"Bye" Anyway, when I got home I Googled how to change the wipers and got this in 10 seconds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBF9Je_yOl0 Crazy, but no hood removal necessary. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to learn how to do this myself and save 40% by buying on Amazon.

They…read moremechanic said that a house needed to be replaced, but they were not able to do it because they do not have the equipment needed to evacuate the existing refrigerant 1234yf. They referred us to the Kia dealer, which I knew would be very expensive. So I did some research online and found Franklynn Automotive. I called and described the situation to Steve. He said they likely can handle it, but would start with a complimentary second opinion. After their inspection, they determined that the hose does not need to be replaced and we only needed to refresh the refrigerant, which they do have the equipment for. In addition, the reason the other shop might have suggested the hose replacement was because of a leak related to the axel. All in, the repairs would be substantially less than the dealer quote for work that may not have been needed in the first place. Overall, great experience with Franklynn.

He was the reason I wanted to get the suspension serviced here as his explanation of what I needed done showed his mastery of his craft. However after taking the car to Tesla to get a 2nd opinion I discovered that this shop (not the tech) was trying to charge me literally a 200% markup on the parts to do the repair. Crazy right!!! The genuine Tesla parts for the repair were $209 and these guys quoted those same parts out to $614 (I sent him the estimate from Tesla with the exact cost of the parts). Unfortunately for me Tesla wouldn't work on the car because of an aftermarket body kit the previous owner had installed. I really liked the mechanic at this shop, so I went back to this shop with the intention to move forward even though their cost was literally 56% more ($1,635 vs $2,555) then Tesla for the same work (because of the price gouging on the parts). Then when I asked about it before my approval to move forward the manager got snarky and said how would you expect us to stay in business if we don't markup the parts. I said and I quote "I get a markup on the parts and your high hourly rate for the labor on the work but not a 200% markup on the parts." The guy gave an excuse about the software they use but was unwilling to budge on the price gouging. I literally said why don't you let me buy the parts directly from Tesla and you can still mark them up 25% and he still said no. I was completely professional throughout the conversation, but obviously would not pay a 200% markup on parts on top of the already top of market labor they charge. After the conversation he texted me back and we agreed to not move forward. I only leave this review to warn others. It's a bad business practice to over charge people like that and so I just wanted to give people my story warning them to watch out and be careful before doing any work here. Update: this slime ball's disclosure of all the information I gave his manager, Steve, in good faith is abhorrent. Everything he mentioned on the car was told to them right up front as I told it to the manager, Steve, in person and this clown is repeating word for word what I told his manager. I was cool with this at first but this guy is a complete scum bag now using my own words and lying about it. Anyways besides being a scum bag, no effort at all was made regarding the parts and this shops 200% markup. I literally told the guy running the shop I would buy the parts myself and let them mark it up 25% and still the answer was a quick no. Everything I said was honest and accurate and don't appreciate this guy claiming transparency when his long shpeel was essentially just a my own words complaining about the car I bought and his shops poor excuse for price gauging. They could have done the job without gauging me on the price given I had the option to buy the parts myself. Not cool at all the response from this guy and his piss poor excuse for attempting to rip me off.

I came here after a nightmare experience at a nearby competitor that ended in a blatant $1,400 bait and switch on a lease deal. I was ready to walk away from the whole thing. I walked in hoping to prepay a 24-month lease and was bracing myself for a battle just to get close to what the other place had originally promised. Not only did Kenny beat that number out the door, but he also took the time to offer real advice that showed me this dealership actually values long-term relationships--not just quick sales. After Kenny locked in the numbers, I worked with Matt, the salesperson, who was patient, understanding, and genuinely helpful. He walked me through the features of the car without the usual pushy vibe you get elsewhere. I wrapped everything up with Grant in finance. Super sharp guy--he was transparent about every line item, walked me through the optional add-ons, and even gave me solid insight into what the dealer checks for at lease turn-in. Zero surprises. In an industry full of games and gimmicks, this team was a breath of fresh air. Kenny especially deserves a shoutout--if he could turn my day around after what I'd just gone through, I have no doubt he'll take care of you and your family too.

I called and they said they had to order a part. I asked what issue they were ordering a part for and they did not know so they researched it and informed me. They told me it would take 3 days to get a part. So my car was sitting at the dealership for 2 weeks before it was fixed. Very little communication during that time frame. They arranged a Lyft service for me to get a loaner car that I ended up using for 2 week. They have a relationship with Lyft and that did not go well and was charged for 4 rides versus 2. Lyft would not do any thing. The dealership would not either. So I had a $100 fee on my credit card. The dealership they could do nothing about that. Really? The Service Manager agreed I did not have to fill the gas tank on the loaner and they filled up my gas tank. All in all it was not a great experience. When the dealership was in a different location it was a smaller operation but had great customer service. I'm not sure I will be returning to this particular location.

First, they charged $825, which is $200 more than most dealers. Then they mucked up the appointment time by an hour and a half, leading to 3 hours at the dealer for what is supposed to be a 30-60 minute job. They utterly butchered the install. They carpeted OVER the front bed hooks and Boxlink plates. They carpeted over the drainage tubes for tonneau cover, making them inaccessible. They carpeted over the tailagate, despite explicit and repeated instructions (including that day!) not to since the truck had a ProAccess tailgate that would be rendered unusable. They miscut the holes for the storage bin, bed lights and ProPower port and did not secure them, leading to gaping, misshapen holes, and room to stick your hand in behind the loose carpet. See pics for all of the above. After pointing this out, they refused to take responsibility. They claimed they "had" to carpet over the tailgate, and that they did not cut any holes...it arrived from Ford that way. Two other dealers looked at their work and said these rugs do not come precut, and they had never seen such shoddy work. (This is my third F150, and my third Sportliner...I know how they are supposed to look.). The only solution and end result: I paid a reputable dealer to rip out the ruined Sportliner and throw it away, bought a new one, and had it installed correctly at another dealership. It was done in an hour and for hundreds of dollars less. Caveat emptor.

You will pay more…read moreupfront by going to Elevated Audio, but the work will be done correctly and they will stand behind it. Coming from a guy who's gone to multiple audio shops with multiple BMW Z4s and had issues every time until this place, well, that upfront premium is definitely worth it to me! So what did I have done? I had the front tweeters replaced, a new DSP amplifier installed, and a new deck installed. They ran dedicated speaker wires to each speaker so each speaker had its own channel on the amp. Did we run into issues? Yes, just like the other two places I've gone to with my last sports car. But unlike the two other places I had gone to in the past, let's see how they truly went above and beyond... The first issue I had is the amplifier died. This is the nature of electronics (look up the "bath tub curve of reliability") - in short, if the amp was going to die, it was probably going to die within a few months of getting it or not for many, many years. Elevated Audio stood behind their product and replaced the amp. But there's more... Next issue was a rattling noise I heard from the passenger-side speaker. Again, I took in the car. And again, they stood behind their work and fixed the rattle. Now some audio shops would have argued it was not an issue with the speaker so tough cookies - not Elevated Audio. They just took care of it - no charge. But there's more... Next issue was the deck (I know, I had a bit of bad luck!) Again, remember the bath tub curve. No audio shop has control over if/when a deck or amp is going to fail, so you cannot judge them on that. I did not like the Kenwood deck they had put in for usability reasons and asked since the deck was acting up anyway to move to an Alpine. Again, they just took care of it - no charge on labor, just the delta in price to go from the original deck to the Alpine. More than reasonable. But there's one final thing! The steering controls work only intermittently. Again, they took it in free of charge and tried to fix it. It's still only working intermittently, but they've offered to let me bring it in to have them look at it again. I will take them up on that offer, but only after this whole COVID 19 thing gets better. So in summary, I know it may seem that many things went wrong, but you have to look at what was reasonably under their control. Every step of the way, the quality of their work was spectacular. They stood behind their product and their work. And I guarantee you that had I gone to another shop, I could have experienced the exact same manufacturer failures and had that occurred, I would not have been taken care of the way Elevated Audio treated me.
