Co op allowed me to maintain some control (parents volunteer their time in class) and learn much more than I thought possible from my peers and from the teachers. It was a real eye opener for me. Our daughter has learned in leaps and bounds here. The structure and education she gets is only seconded by the love and comfort we wish we could give her all day ourselves. The teachers are so mindful of how each child develops, it really does make you stop and think why it doesn't happen this way everywhere. I should also point out that our son is autistic and simply learns and interacts in his own way. The way he learns with the teachers and class mates is so organic that it doesn't even seem like he's being treated differently. And in reality I don't think he is being treated differently, which is exactly how I want my son treated. On top of the great staff, agile curriculum, and hands on learning... it's affordable. I'm sure you can find cheaper if you really look, but you will not find a better early learning experience for the price. Or for that matter, even more expensive options would have a tough time competing with this team. My child is currently 5 years old and autistic. Performing math at a 1st-2nd grade level. The infant room and several kids with green mucus all over their faces and the one boy was BAD. No one even attempted to clean them up. The facility seems run down, cabinets/doors peeling, large play items falling apart. The whole place is in need of a thorough scrub and update some items. I also have spent several years working in animals shelters and I can honestly say we were able to keep our facility (with zero budget) cleaner and the smell with in reason. Staff was friendly and did answer some questions, but did not offer up any info. So if you go for a tour, know what you need to ask. And Kim hand wrote all the prices which wasn't super useful.

This is a 5 year old kid. Broke my heart to hear that. There are two people who run the kids program and I had a bad feeling from the get-go about both of them. I should have never agreed to sign up with Real Kids. The way the woman treats/talks to the people who work there is horrid, Rod is a creepy man all around and the people hired to take care of the kids seem like they have absolutely no experience. It's almost like they are volunteers. When we came in for the tour, there was only one person watching all the kids and she was acting like a 'cool kid' with the older kids she was caring for, not paying attention to the other kids. Rod explained that because it was the end of the day and a Friday that they let everyone else go early. If you are seriously considering this place, I would tour more than once and come in without notice. Though they do make sure to 'walkie-talkie' to make sure everything is copacetic before allowing the parents to go downstairs to pick up there kids. I had a big issue with that. The only positive thing I will say is they refunded my payment so I could remove my child without issue.
