My child is always happy to spend time with friends and teachers at this daycare. She has learned how to socialize and respect others, which is very important to me. I appreciate that the teachers have clear rules and maintain a structured environment. The daily schedule is engaging and varied, and I particularly love the huge playground where children can play and run freely. Even when the weather is bad, they can still use their energy in the spacious church foyer. The teachers are fantastic and truly care about the children's development. Highly recommend! read more

The Orchards Childcare and Preschool is better than I could have imagined a childcare center could be. I currently have my two children enrolled at the Orchards. I am particularly impressed with how the caregivers and teachers take a genuine interest in the progress and lives of each of the children in their class. Whenever I've had questions, the Orchards Director has been easy to reach and prompt in her responses. The classrooms have been recently renovated and are kept clean. There is a good variety of age appropriate and safe toys in all of the classrooms. Security is well maintained with video monitoring, keypad access to facilities and fenced outdoor play areas. I love the phone application that they use for the secure check in and out procedure, as well as the photo updates throughout the day. Their Junior Kindergarten class is quite robust in its educational curriculum. The lead Junior Kindergarten teacher has been teaching young students for over 20 years, I believe. I'm honestly impressed at the progress my four year old has made behaviorally and educationally. They also have done a great job at offering events throughout the year. Kids Christmas program, picture days, Easter egg hunts, "pumpkin patch" etc. I couldn't recommend the Orchards more. read more

Love that they have options for half days or full days, they also have options for 2-5 days/week. My daughter was in the 3's class. The teachers Ms. Lina, Ms. Kayla, and Ms Jeannie we're all so loving and nurturing. I enjoyed watching my toddler grow in her social skills, independence, potty training, along with their educational curriculum. Snacks and meals were provided which takes the hassle and stress for working parents. They encourage kids to nap or have quiet time. I enjoy the extra curricular activities. On her first week in the Fall, they had barn animals come on site. Due to the pandemic, a lot of the activities got canceled. Like holiday and year end programs. In the summer they had bike week and water week. I also appreciate they celebrated all holidays in class. On a daily basis kids got to have outdoor recess and recently placed a tent next to the playground to protect them from direct sunlight on those really hot days. When it's wet, the kids are able to have indoor recess. I enjoy all the little projects they take home and they provide a daily photo of your child to keep parents updated on the things they do in class. Because of the pandemic, teachers and staff are wearing masks and all vaccinated. When there's any sort of exposure, they do close the class for a few days, get those tested who needs to be tested, and the room is sanitized to cdc standards. I lived in Bellevue (newport hills) and I appreciate how affordable it is as well. Most places charges an arm and a leg. Sad we moved to Kirkland because we had to find a new preschool/daycare. We moved to the area just under a year ago from out of the state. While looking at other preschools we noticed a lot of emphasis placed on cool technology or upgraded facilities. Walking onto the campus at The Orchards is like stepping into a little red school house. The primary colors, warm smiles, and endless artwork by the students, instantly made this place feel safe and welcoming. The kids do quite a few performances throughout the year and families are encouraged to come and explore what the kids are learning and see their progress. There are multiple opportunities during the school year to get involved in various projects or participate in fun activities. SAFETY -- The school has in place camera technology in each classroom, phone check in and out, and code access into the classrooms that is changed quarterly. Just the right amount of safety features for this mama sending her first off to school, without feeling overwhelmed or being overcharged. STAFF -- The teachers and staff here are fantastic. Kind and quick to respond. Ms. Passantino is a passionate JK teacher who has been teaching for 15+ years. She's firm and encouraging -- just what our kiddos need to be prepared for Kinder. Ms. Danny is a fantastic aide who cares about seeing her kids succeed and be heard. Ms. Claudia, the principal, makes sure to learn everyone's name and is so kind. You can tell she cares very much about having a great program. Ms. Christina in the office is very efficient and cares about having the program run well. She's quick to respond and finds the answer for you ASAP. read more

We feel so blessed to have found the Orchards! We were very nervous about leaving our daughter, but the staff at the Orchards takes amazing care of our baby girl, and you can tell she just loves them and loves going there. She's been in the infant room and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Her teacher is very attentive, loving, and always thinking of new activities for the babies. She supports her with where she's at in her development and helps her to reach new milestones and constantly learn new things. We don't have enough good things to say about our experience and would highly recommend it to anyone! read more

What a wonderful place! Our daughter attended The Orchards for one year and was involved in the 2's class. My husband and I loved the staff of teachers at The Orchards. Each of them knew our daughter's name and would greet her with a warm smile. When we would pick her up, she would talk the entire drive home about her friends and her teacher. She felt save and loved and that's what mattered most to us! The only reason why we un-enrolled her was because of the distance from our home. We live in the Kirkland area. The drive to and from The Orchards 2 times a day was difficult. If we lived closer, we would definitely enroll her at the Orchards once again. To anyone decided whether or not they should send their son/daughter to The Orchards, I would say, do it! read more

I am so impressed with this pre school and day care. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old who have been attending. Both my kids love going. There systems are set up well. From check in, to communicating throughout the day about diaper changes, naps, snacks ect. Beyond my kids loving this place and beyond the systems in place that are excellent, what I love as a parent is that all the teachers take genuine care for my kids well being. That shines through in how they interact with my boys. I can not recommend this pre school and child care enough. read more

Our 1 year old daughter loves the Orchards and we couldn't be happier. She is always excited to go to school in the morning. The staff is great, very caring and attentive to each kid's needs. The teachers keep us updated about our child's daily activities and progress very well. The Brightwheel app is very convenient for communication with the school. The facility is clean and secure. My little one is having a great time in here. The teachers truly care about the kids (not like what we experienced in the past with the previous child care). When my son had some early cold symptoms, Ms. Mandy noticed it and told me right away when I picked him up, so that we could be be prepared when taking him home. Ms. Mai was also a great teacher, who could talk to my son in his language when he was new at the childcare. Now my son moved up to 3+ class with Ms. Lina and Ms. Julia, both are fantastic, caring and fun teachers. Claudia, the director is a wonderful person, who cares and knows all the names of the kids, and their health, too. It has been a good year for my son to be here, he loves going to school. read more

The Orchards preschool has been a great experience for my kids! My oldest is currently in 1st grade and went through the 3's and JK classes, and my youngest is currently in the 3's preschool class. The teachers are so loving and nurturing and you can tell they truly love the kids they teach. My youngest has really thrived in the program and Ms. Lina has really helped him come out of his shell to be more outgoing, cooperative, and loving to others. In addition to learning the basics and preparing them for school (letters, writing, etc), we also love the religious curriculum and the emphasis on learning about God and memorizing basic scriptures to help reinforce what we're teaching them at home. My daughter has attended this daycare for a year now and we love it! The staff is very caring, compassionate and accommodate to your needs. They use the app Brightwheel and are very quick to response, post updates from the weather changes to new teachers/staff. My daughter has learned so many manners from what the teachers have taught her and the other kids are so kind and friendly. The location is right next to an elementary school and across from a park, very quiet neighborhood and a lot of safety signals for reassurance for any parent. read more

The staff is caring. They genuinely care for our twins. The staff are long term employees, they don't have much turnover. This means our kids have a stable environment. I also like that the director is very communicative and will respond to calls and emails promptly. read more

The staff has been really helpful as our son is transitioning into daycare. They communicate with updates through the mobile app and provide daily "report cards" on how our son is doing, etc. Not only is this place a daycare, but it's also a school as well.
