The staff is very friendly and helpful. The vets answer all your questions and don't rush you. The vets I went to before would have you drop off your pet and call you when they are done, so you didn't get any information from them. It was so refreshing to have the vet spend time with me. I was previously told my dog had a heart murmur but never knew how bad it was. This vet told me that it was only a 2 to 3 out of 6. That gave me reassurance. My dog is 13 and I want to keep her as healthy as possible. Love these guys. read more

Pro's: Vets are knowledgable and good with the animals except for the original vet not closing exam room doors multiple times when your pet is free in the room. They seem up to date on latest practices minus things like CT's etc. Cons: It's the business practice side, communication, and lack of access that I'd say look elsewhere. Also, a vet willing to turn away an injured animal on a Friday afternoon is a major major negative especially with a prior scheduling arrangement. In 20 years of rescuing and fostering, I have never seen that action taken before. I have also never seen a practice before where you cannot leave a message or ask for a call back when their own lines are busy?! In fact, if you call most times, you cannot get through during their posted business hours. instead you get a message that states "if our 2 lines are busy then we are busy and so try calling again". No voicemail, and no way to return the call when They've left a message for you. No way to let them know you respected their time and tried to return their call. Other issues have been errors and missing rabies tag numbers they are required to submit. Lastly, most appts are more than 2 weeks out. Even with a sick or injured animals its often a 2 or more days wait. If anyone is familiar with felines - cats, by the time your pet shows injury or illness, you do not have much time left to help them. I've tried working with them for more than 6 months because they were recommend including driving up to them when can not reach by phone to answer their questions. I'm paying for this? And I'm not one of those rescue fosters that asks for free or very low fees. Professionals get to be paid for their training and experience. My experience has increasingly difficult and not willing to risk my job or my animals health trying to get it right with them. Final recommendations : 1) The younger staff need some additional customer service training including how to respectfully talk with customers, deescalation skills if unfortunately needed and simply how to build rapport. 2) Add an employee for simply handling your scheduling, phone calls, messages, and technology. Don't overload your vet techs with that front desk duties. bad business practice and creates their surly attitudes. Its great if your that busy and a growing practice. you will not be for much longer if you ignore addressing these gaps and your not given best care to the animals and their families. read more

AVOID-STAY FAR AWAY: The WORST vet ever. As a medical professional, I believe my Maltipoo Mimi would be alive today if they were competent and thorough. Just on the basis of partial blood test results and partial exam Marx said "euthanize her now". Offered no explanation nor potential treatments. Dr. DeGrove told me that advocating for the pet is none of his business nor is it his business to educate the pet owner. He is there to do what the pet owner asks him to do -no more and no less. AVOID OR YOUR PET MAY DIE. DeGrove hates it when I say I think Marx is a quack. I could be mistaken. read more

I have 2 daniff puppies and of course my toy poodles. I have been going to this practice for a couple of years. My new daniff pups love Dr Jakeman. She is so attentive and actually gets on the the floor and plays with them while administering their shots. I have had dogs over 45 years and to me they are the best. When you walk in the door they are friendly, always accommodating me with an appointment since I have 5 dogs. I am extremally happy with them and have refered friends to them as well. read more

Let me down! I was threatened by Peace River Veterinary if I didn't remove my review, they would "retaliate against me"!. I was on the phone with them, crying, in total grief, when they asked me to remove my review. I agreed to do it and then rethought it. I would NEVER recommend them or go there again! I do believe they are nice people and would never harm an animal on purpose. I believe they are kind. I don't believe anyone would become a Vet if they didn't love animals. BUT, I went there for almost 5 years!!!! and they let me down. I just checked my voice mail, I was on vacation for one month. I was left a message that they would "retaliate against me" for my review. It was honest and truthful. They sent me into tears and sorrow again. I would never recommend them, or go there again. EVER! Horrible place. Would never recommend anyone to bring their pet there. Our beloved retriever had been going there for 8 years. 8 years he had been their patient. He was brought in on his final day on earth because he was vomiting and moping around after they treated him and removed several skin tags. They took an xray and they sent us to ER hospital. He had cancer. His prognosis bleak. No treatment. So we had to let him cross the rainbow bridge. Afterwards we got nothing from them. No acknowledgement. No sympathies were sent. No check up to see how he was doing.. Nothing. Heartless. After 8 years you'd think they would care. In fact we got a reminder card a few months after his death to make an appointment for vaccines. This is a small veterinary clinic. Dr. Goracki is our new vet He spent time getting to know our 12 year old schnoodle, and put us all at ease. He's careful, competent, and very cheerful in his work , which is conveyed by everyone in the practice. They are very reasonably priced, and responsive to your needs. I've been taking my dog there for years. He has been having a hard time walking for quite some time. I kept bringing him there and they just kept treating him for arthritis. Thursday I finally took him to another vet to get a second opinion because it just didn't seem right. My poor baby has advanced Osteosarcama and Tumors all over. It is too advanced to treat now. He has had to have had this a long time! His prognosis is very bad. The new vet said it could be two weeks or two months. He is in pain. I am so angry that Peace River Veterinary never thoroughly checked him out. We were just there two weeks ago, and they just wiggled his leg and said it was arthritis. I kept telling them he was limping etc. He has been there so often! I am just going to make him as comfortable as I can for now. And I want to thank SW Veterinary Services in Lake Suzy and Dr. Hall for diagnosing him even though it's much too late for us. read more
