We had in-home services for Layla, our English Mastiff, because transporting her to a vet would be unneeded stress for such a large dog. Also, after she passed, we wanted our other dogs to see her and perhaps understand why she would no longer be around. The Dr. and the gentleman who transported her for cremation were very nice and professional. We were able to do it outside in the sunshine on the back porch, where Layla loved to hang out. To her, the Vet was just a nice lady who came to visit. Layla even gave her kiss. A family member was in for the day from out of town, plus I was able to get a day off work, so it was hoped once we made the decision, it could be done that day. I called at 9am to schedule something, and by 2:30pm everything was over, even with the Dr. having to drive an hour to our house. read more

This place is such a blessing! My 19 year old cat, Lennon, went downhill very fast. I knew I wanted in-home euthanasia, but my normal vet couldn't do it until Friday. Another place was booked two weeks out. My little guy was struggling, so I was very happy Peaceful Pet Passage could do it the day I called. John answered the phone and very gently walked me through the steps. He was very prompt calling me back with a price quote. Dr Carney arrived promptly at 330 and knocked instead of ringing the doorbell. I appreciated that as it didn't scare my cat. She introduced herself to my mom and I and took her time explaining things. She asked questions about Lennon and was very calming to have around at this difficult time. The process was quick and painless. She let us take our time saying goodbye. She told me to tell her when I was ready to have the man come in and take Lennon. Tom (he does the pickup for cremation) was also very kind and gently lifted my kitty off my mom's lap and placed him in a carrying case. He put Lennon's head on a little pillow and told me to not feel rushed in saying the final goodbyes. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. She preferred women so Dr. Elizabeth Carney was recommended. Although very difficult, the experience was as serene as it possibly could be. Dr. Carney first listened and then explained what she would be doing and allowed us to continue at our timing. We were not rushed. She was sympathetic and very calm. After Tally had passed, an attendant came in and loaded her onto a blanketed gurney to take her away. He was also very kind and compassionate. I can't say enough good things about this place. I was originally going to take my fur baby to be cremated at the vet, but I just got a bad feeling "drop them off whenever and we will get them back to you in 7-10 days". My fiance's sister used to be a vet tech and said that she had heard nothing but great things from people about Peaceful Pet Passage, so I decided to give them a call. From the get go, it was a completely different experience. They were kind and patient on the phone, explaining my options and setting my appointment. When I arrived, they had a pet stretcher laid out for me to lay my fur baby, and encouraged me to use their room to say my last goodbyes, and then we handled the paperwork. Within 24 hours, they called to let me know that I could come pick up her remains, and they have a wonderful presentation with a wooden box, some locks of her hair, and a nameplate with a photo holder for a photo of her. They also etch her name into a large memorial plaque they have on their property. Their caring and attention to detail really helped me through a terrible time during the loss of my beloved dog. I put my beloved Pom down about a month ago with Peaceful Pet Passage. The treatment my girl received was nothing short of disgusting. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone to make arrangements, he was kind and understanding. The vet that came to our home was very cold, and quite frankly a jerk! He was 20 minutes late and I think this fact caused him to be less than kind in an already awful situation. My girl GROWLED at him....she never growls at people, I should have known then that there would be issues. He laughed, thought it was cute, he said. I was getting ready to put my 16 year old dog down and the vet is laughing and talking about how cute she is. Nice. I explained to him that I had to leave once the sedative kicked in because I could not be there for the final shot. My husband was to stay with her. When I had said my good byes, the vet stood up and said "Yeah, she looks good and ready" . I couldn't believe my ears! And here I am a month later regretting ever letting him touch my dog.
