Unfortunately, it was raining and no other dogs were there. The separate fenced-in areas are of good size, but located on a slanted hillside. It is sometimes hard to walk if the grass is wet. There are nice benches to sit on while your dog is playing with friends. This area is behind on being dog friendly and having places like this park is a step in the right direction.

Paws on the Run offers two separate parks, one for the small breeds and the other for the larger kinds. It's spacious and allows your pet the opportunity to run off all that energy while maintaining the safety of your animal and others since it's securely fenced in. They also have a double entrance for extra protection and to avoid a possible escape. Prior to adopting our dog Bella we never took our other dogs to the park since they are Chihuahuas and we have a small area of our own yard fenced that is suitable to their exercise needs. But with a larger pet this park is really a great place to allow her some outdoor leash freedom. The park was built in 2010 as a gift from a local family. I understand they have done a decent amount of updates over the years, like plant trees, provide benches, a dog pool for warmer months, outdoor water source for drinking water as well as some tunnels for agility activities. The park is open year around but with all the rain we have been having the park is a bit of a mud pit. I am excited to take our girl here in the spring and summer months. There are a list of rules patrons of the park are to adhere by but it seems at least one is not exactly being followed. I noticed a LOT of dog doo. I wish pet owners would be more disciplined in cleaning up after their pets. It's not only gross it can spread diseases. Otherwise it's a great park for our furry friends.

Stopped here to meet my in-laws whilst retrieving my sons from their annual summer visit to the…read moregrandparents. We brought our dog Trooper because he's my sons and we knew it would be a great surprise for him. Trooper is a great pup so we didn't HAVE to find someplace like this but having a public park available certainly made the trip more pleasant. This park is beautiful. Extremely clean and well loved. There were flowers freshly planted and benches everywhere and lots of personal touches. The park is free and open to the public which is wonderful. There is a separate section for the smaller dogs which doesn't have a lot of shade but the main large park has a nice big shaded section to escape the sun. Outside of the fence are picnic benches so you can have some lunch while your pup gets to play. There is a portable toilet here as well so not fancy but definitely nice to have! I think we will make this a regular meetup spot for our family as we love to travel with our pets.

The owner was friendly and incredibly helpful when it came to pick-up and drop-off times. They have indoor and outdoor play areas and even have a little pool for the dogs to play in. While our dog was happy to see us when we came to pick him up, he seemed just as content to hang out with the owner and couldn't stop licking her! He was absolutely exhausted after playing there for a few hours and slept the entire four hour drive home plus the day after!! If we lived closer we would definitely be dropping him off there regularly. I cannot recommend this place enough!

It's big with lots to do and was a favorite for my daughter as a toddler. There's the wave pool which is great on a hot summer day. BMX trails, remember those fondly with boyfriends. Hiking, biking and walking trails, horses and stables. Loads and loads of picnic and wooded areas for more hiking. Ponds, and BUFFALO...did I mention the buffalo? Amazing. Not to mention plenty of open land (once the fairgrounds) for festivals and concerts, have seen several bands. Lots and lots of beautiful flowers and vegetation, and wildlife. Literally something for everyone here.

The park is all dirt and there is water there for your dogs and some benches to sit on. This is not a place to go in the rain as it will get muddy or at night as it would be a prime place for crime.

Duff Park is a wonderful park for hiking. Since we started incorporating hiking into our weekly…read moreworkout regime, we have found that Duff Park offers a lot of challenging hiking trails and some flatter biking trails. I suggest if you are new to the park to grab a map located at the main parking area off School Road South in Murrysville. I am not sure if this park offers a playground or picnic area as I have never seen it, but I am fine with that since we come specifically for the hike. There are plenty of trails to navigate through and some are very steep and narrow. Specifically one section of Forbes is reminiscent of being in the jungle. The vegetation is up past your shoulders, overgrown and covers the trail. You somewhat just follow the stamped down path that is rather unnerving if you do not like not being able to see where you are stepping. There are also many benches to rest on as you walk the trails as well as informative plaques posted on the trails detailing different trees and vegetation. You can definitely get a good workout in if you navigate several different trails. Though not all the trails are good for kids I would say there are plenty that you can take grade school kids on without any major issues so it can be a nice family workout as well.
