I was a new patient (and from out of the area) and therefore I expected the typical routine of having to go through a full examine, consultation, x-rays, etc. This is what usually causes me to 'put-off' going to the Dentist. Although I understand the necessity, sometimes I feel it's just a bit much and overwhelming. I had a small need/concern with my tooth and Robert Hodous took me right in, addressed and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at the fact that he didn't push a 'new patient' work up on me and make me go through all the motions before fixing the problem. Today was my first exposure to anything other than preventive procedures. I must say that Dr Hoff and his staff exceeded my expectations. I had a crown that I received from another dentist many years ago replaced today. I was expecting to have the crown removed, have an impression made, have a temporary crown installed and repeat the process once the permanent crown came back from the lab. Between regular six month cleaning wanted to do some extra polishing and probing as I was experiencing a minor annoyance. upon further examination twenty plus minutes, the likely problem is a tastebud, as nothing looks wrong with my teeth. I went to pay for my treatment and the staff told me there was no charge! I have always liked the beautiful facility and professional staff and of course Doctor Rinehart, but I think he truly cares about his patient and today his actions were proof of this, I normally don't make reviews (good or bad) , but felt moved to do so today. I can't remember, I think it was Eddie? I just remember he talked about how he got married in KC and he was the one that did my cleaning and everything for my first visit. Went over some of the anxiety that I have with dentists. And made sure everything was all good to go for me! I was also informed after I arrived that they are not a part of my network when I was specifically told the day I made the appointment that they are. When asked what the cost would be the receptionist then laughed at me and said "your insurance is actually haha really bad" and said it would be $75 instead of completely covered. Laughing at a person's insurance in the front lobby is tacky and very unprofessional. Will never go back and I don't recommend anyone else go there either.
