I'm just going to echo the other eleven 1-star reviews, because wow -- PEAK ENT Associates has somehow perfected the art of medical absurdity. My wife went in because she felt like food was getting stuck in her tonsils. Reasonable concern. Reasonable appointment. What followed was... not reasonable. They performed one test: a diagnostic laryngoscopy -- a tiny camera down the throat. Fine. $475. Painful, but at least that makes sense. Would've been nice to be warned it costs roughly the same as a used iPhone, but okay. Then the bill arrived. Along with the $475 camera test were two mysterious "Swallow Test Fees": * $422 * $95 When I asked my wife what other tests they did, she said, "None. Just the camera." Interesting. So, I called billing. Billing had no idea. Truly inspiring confidence. Eventually, a nurse explained that during the camera test, my wife had to eat a cookie and take a sip of apple juice so they could "observe swallowing." Yes. You read that correctly. $422 for a cookie $95 for apple juice I don't know where they shop, but apparently these were artisanal, organic, free-range, gold-leaf cookies personally blessed by a gastroenterologist. Naturally, one might assume that watching someone swallow would be included in the $475 throat camera test, but no -- apparently snacks are à la carte. Oh, and don't forget the $260 "new patient" fee, which I assume covers the welcome smile and the privilege of sitting in the waiting room. And the grand finale? After all that: "We don't really know what's wrong. I guess you could get your tonsils removed." Fantastic. $1,252 later, the medical equivalent of a shrug. In summary: If you'd like to pay luxury-restaurant prices for a cookie, apple juice, and zero answers -- PEAK ENT is the place for you. Everyone else, consider this your warning. This was the single most unnecessary medical expense of my life. When the 2 minute treatment option was discussed I asked "How expensive is this?" The doctor's aid responded by asking "Do you have insurance?"-- I responded that I did. The doctor's aid responded "Then it won't be that much". The treatment took 2 minutes, it literally was nothing more than a paper patch that looked identical to the paper hole-punch when making 3 ring binders. So imagine my surprise when I received a bill that wasn't covered by my insurance that cost $617! In what world does $617 qualify as (using the medical aid's words) "it won't be that much"? $617 was only part of my bill. I paid an additional $300 for additional totally unnecessary tests. I agree with Layne C (Aug 14, 2024) and Ritch A (July 26, 2024): BE UP FRONT ABOUT COSTS to allow patients the ability to make INFORMED decisions to accept or decline tests. A follow-up visit was necessary because I needed the paper patch removed from my ear canal-- during this subsequent visit, every time medical staff went to do a test, I kindly informed them not to do the test if I was going to be charged for it. There were at least 2 or 3 times I got the impression that had I not said that, I would have had several more hundred dollars charged to me for unnecessary testing. BEWARE!! I went to Peak to try and get relief from a TERRIBLE tinnitus problem, all I got from the 2 P.A.s were shoulder shrugs, and a HUGE bill! During my first visit after looking into my ears, I was told I had a hair down in my ear canal close to my ear drum, the P.A. then asked if I would like him to retrieve the hair. Thinking this 25 second procedure was part of my office visit cost, I told him, "sure." To my amazement when I received the bill, the total cost of that 25 second act, cost $700.00!! I called the billing depart and all I got was apologies and excuses. Had I known it would have cost $700.00 to pull a small hair out of my ear canal, I would have said, "no thank you" This has to be the worst, and most expensive 30 minute medical experience of my life. read more

I was referred to Dr Riddle by my primary Dr Ogden. Dr Riddle performed a complicated Thyroidectomy on me that required a thoracic opening (done by Dr McCann). I just have to tell how great of a work both Drs performed on me. I am on my 12 weeks post op doing extremely well. I recommend these caring Drs to all those who need these type of care. read more

I usually go to their Lehi location; but after being sick for 3 weeks and starting to cough up blood, I called their office to see if I could have an earlier appointment. They were able to get me in the same day at their Provo location. My appointment was at 2pm and I left at 4pm; but I get why it took so long because they were trying to fit me in and I was just seeing their NP, but after she saw me she realized the Doctor would need to do a scope down my nose/throat so that's why it took so long. So even though it was a long wait; I get it and appreciate being able to be seen and get some more medication to hopefully help me get better! read more

Had a frustrating experience with the receptionists. I just needed a medical release form to get my old records transferred. I signed a release for the office to get my medical records (which is what my old office needed) but the receptionists didn't seem to even know what I had signed and just kept insisting I had to work with the old office and that they don't fax releases for medical records. They just didn't want to deal with it nor did they show any interest in trying to help. They just shifted the blame on me and the old office. Super frustrating. Now I have to set up another appt. The care was good, but the billing is a mess. Every week I checked on the balance and was told insurance was being billed and all was OK. A couple of months later we were contaced by a rude employee of an collection agency. They wouldn't tell us the name of the doctor, but the demanded payment in full. As far as we knew we owed. We figured it out and contacted the medical biling office. Apparently we had a bill of just over $500 that insurance didn't cover. The company MADE ZERO ATTEMPTS at emailing or phoning us. In fact, in our visits assured all was ok with billing. Then The added overr $300 in collection fee. They were unwilling to remove the collection fee so our final balance was $880 that we immediately paid. MY QUESTION: Why didn't the office notify us of a balance when we were in weekly and we asked? Why didn't they make an attempt at calling us? Why didn't they send emails with statements before turning us over to an collection agency? Why add $300 in collection fees (over 50% of balance) when we were assured that all balances were paid in full by insurance company? The service was good, but AVOID THIS OFFICE unless you are willing to put up with headaches and errors in the billing office. read more

The office staff were good as well as the audiologist but the PA was another story! First of all if your doctor (my ent doctor) referred me to Peak ent, don't you think I would see an actual doctor!?? Nope! She (the PA) couldn't look me in the eyes or face, she was looking all over my body! Looking me up and down as if she was disgusted with me! So word to the wise I would not refer anyone to these guys especially if you don't want to feel self conscious about yourself! read more

I changed my insurance. Multiple times I told them I changed my insurance(and my name) for a YEAR they never changed it. Then they sent my balance to a collection agency. I called them and the guy was yelling at me telling me they tried to contact ME and I wouldn't answer. When I have called them 4+ times to correct them. Now I am responsible for the full amount because of a mistake they made, and then he hung up on me. Their care is trash. read more

Went to Dr. Riddle to find out if I had a deviated septum. I also asked if he knew why my ears popped when working out, and he said "I don't know". He only cared about the thing that would bring him money: a septoplasty. I didn't want to do it through him because of negative reviews on google, but I felt very uncomfortable and pressured by them the whole time I was there, and my next appointment when I went in for a CT scan in April. I confirmed with the receptionist multiple times that my visits were covered by insurance, only to get two bills totaling over $1000 5 months later. Would not recommend this place. They only want your money and Dr. Riddle did not care about actually helping me. read more

They said I needed a CT scan, I told them to check with my insurance and if they covered it, I would move forward. They came back and said it was covered. Now month later I get a call telling me that they are sending me to collections. No communication about owing any money. They are claiming my insurance didn't cover "all of the costs". Well someone is not being truthful in their business dealings. Either they lied about clearing it with my insurance company, or they overcharged my insurance company and now want me to make up the difference. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!! My son was in the MTC and had a nosebleed. He was sent here for treatment. They stopped the bleed, but we were sent a ridiculous bill for the service. Certainly excessive for what was done. Would not recommend!!! read more
