Pacific Mall is home to lots of tiny little shops, selling all kinds of things, including cell…read morephones and accessories, clothing, herbs, bubble teas, and so much more. Its home to my favourite camera store, Aden Camera, where I purchase most of my hardware. They also have great tasting food from several outlets and stalls. A couple friends and I decided to do a food challenge to see what we could each get for CDN$20. We met the challenge and enjoyed some great tasting food. Our preferred vendors included QQ Noodle King, Go Curry, Chloe's Convenience, Hi Anna's Basket, Shark's Fin City, and Prairie Lamb Kabob. This mall has something for everyone. Check them out!

I did walk around the main floor, and I didn't go up stairs or downstairs or check out the food stalls and left. I have been to Dynasty Centre a handful of times. It's an area in Scarborough that I used to frequent with my parents many moons ago. With so many eateries in Markham, we rarely come down here. A few months ago, I dropped by to dine at Samosa Fusion with friends. This place offers an all-you-can-eat buffet with a special promotion at the time of $20 per person. I don't know if it has gone up in price, but it was regularly $25, which is still decent to stuff yourself silly. Next door to it is HK Garden. The Hong Kong-style milk tea (iced) stands out as being one of the best drinks I have had in a while. I recently did takeout from Great Fountain Fast Food. It's in the food court. The fried beef rice noodles were excellent. This combo came with soup and a drink. The hot and sour soup was amazing. I am still dreaming about the iced lemon drink, which was refreshing and so good if you are a lemon fan. This meal was less than $20. It was a great value for the quality of food and drink that I got. There is lots of parking at this plaza. I've seen it being fairly busy on a Saturday. It's fairly quiet after work on weekdays. I have been fortunate to not experience idiot drivers at this plaza, which is so refreshing! I am still working my way through the businesses. I have seen stores that sell DVDs, herbal stores, and more. So far, I've liked the eateries that I have visited. There's plenty for me to explore. (193)

The Dynasty Center has been around for ages. The surrounding plazas have lost tenants over the…read moreyears and are mostly half empty but this one is mostly full. There are a lot of the same types of stores - multiple day spas, places to get your haircut, and of course a multitude of restaurants both on the perimeter and inside at the food court. The parking lot technically has arrows that point you down which way to park but I've seen them ignored so just be careful. If all the surface parking is gone, there is underground parking towards the back of the plaza. The entrance to the main plaza is not the most accessible. The buttons to open the door automatically don't work. Right now the food court is take-out only. All of the establishments are open. They had some hand sanitizer at the entrance to the food court from the inside and social distancing stickers in front of each of the restaurants. I did notice that at the leftmost restaurant they were allowing people to bring in their own containers to get take-out. Maybe not the best idea during Covid.

You can enter and exit this eatery to get to the mall. I used to take Cantonese classes as a teen a block away. Afterwards, I had the option of hanging around this mall and then heading home by streetcars, or I'd go nuts and walk all the way down to Eaton Centre, hang around, and then go home. I loved malls back then. I can't say that I feel the same way these days. This mall is a shadow of itself, which is a shame. It used to be cool seeing vendors in the lobby. I got a sterling silver ring here when I was in grade 11. I still have it. Excellent quality. It still fits, too! Back then, bubble tea wasn't as popular as it is now. I did love getting iced pineapple drinks from a vendor in the basement. Sadly, it's gone, along with most of the food court down there. I saw two eateries in the basement that were left standing. The eateries are scattered on the ground, second, and fourth floors. Frankly, I don't know why the designers skipped naming the fourth floor the third floor. Chinese culture doesn't like the number four because it sounds like death when you say it out loud. Weird. The ground floor is the most interesting because it has the most stores. Sun Wah Bookstore has been kicking around for decades. It was nice seeing it again. Tung Tung Dan Quen King has bubble waffles and more. Sugar Marmalade is next to Juicy Dumpling, so you can stuff yourself with carbs and then go on a dessert high next door. There were a couple of Chinese herb stores, a pharmacy, a gift store, an optical store and more on the ground floor. It's such an eclectic, odd mix of stores. The second floor had six or seven businesses that were open. It was sad seeing half this floor vacant. There's a claw machine place called PaliPali Claw. I suck at claw games, so I didn't go in. Owl of Minerva, Clay Pot Rice, and Canteen are you eateries. I've never been to the fourth floor, There was a sign saying that Sky Dragon Chinese Restaurant is there. It's interesting that it's the only business up there. I hope that there's a rooftop patio or something up there, too. Forget hitting the washrooms here. They are gross. You're better off hitting the washrooms at Chinatown Centre where they are passable. It was nice to return, but the Dragon City that I loved as a teen is long gone. Since then, this bubble tea franchise has shut down in the GTA. Chung Chun Rice Dog has taken over this spot. This change explains Skycity in a nutshell. There is a high concentration of bubble tea shops at Skycity. Competition is fierce. I was recently here, thinking that I should get some bubble tea. I actually couldn't decide because the selection was insane and proceeded with my errands instead... haha! I tend to visit Chatime the most here to get my bubble tea fix. Apart from an oversaturation of bubble tea stores, this place has a ton of food. I feel like it'll take me years to eat my way through this place. I recently visited Chung Chun and had an excellent experience. I love their Korean rice dogs and I'm thrilled that this location is a lot closer to me than heading over to North York to satisfy my cravings. My local Cheese Garden is here. I like that I can order online and drop by to pick up my goods. There are benches scattered around the plaza in case you are in a food coma after stuffing yourself to rest or take a nap. There is plenty of parking, although it does getting busy at night. Many eateries and bubble tea places open till 11:30 pm or midnight. There are other businesses, such as electronic stores, nail salons, and more. I have yet to make a dent in these categories here. The catch is that when you exit onto Midland, you can only turn right. Although it's convenient for me to turn left and head home, I don't mind cycling around the block to get home. It's safer considering how weird drivers can be around this area. One of these days, I will visit every bubble tea place here. The problem is that I have my usual places in Markham that it's tough to break decent habits. (342)

There is lots of outdoor parking (could get crowded), and a few benches to sit outdoors. During pandemic times, all food restaurants are takeout. Recently restaurants are allowed to serve food on an outdoor patio but not all restaurants made a patio. There is no general WiFi for the mall.

My manager introduced me to this place. Our team drops by now and again to enjoy good meals at affordable prices. The food stall that I frequent the most is Arigato Box. When you are staring at all the food stalls, Arigato Box is the one on the right. This stall has a huge menu that's on a board. It's got pictures and prices. I tend to get the bento box because it has a bit of everything that I love and there is more than one type of bento box. I love yeung chow fried rice. Both Honey Pepper and Dynasty BBQ make this dish exceptionally well. They both don't skip on huge shrimp and veggies. It's delicious. Sea Star has Hong Kong-style items. I remember getting a seafood dish with two sauces with my manager. We loved the tomato sauce, but the white sauce had no flavour at all. We still loved the comforting food. There used to be a Vietnamese food stall called Pho Tai Loi. I loved the pho and vermicelli dishes. I was sad when it closed for good. I believe that a Filipino stall has taken over. I haven't tried it. I will admit that I rarely shop at other stores in this mall. It does have a second floor. The only reason why I was up there was because I needed to use the washroom. Washrooms are upstairs. The food court is downstairs. There is a snack shop called MyDelish on the first floor that has decent Filipino baked goods and more. I ended up getting pork rinds that had palm vinegar. They were fabulous. I remember getting bubble tea at Phoenix Bubble Tea eons ago, which is roughly across from the food court. I don't recall if I loved or hated it, so I need to get another one to sort that out. There was a clothing store next door from which my manager bought a purple hoodie. He is more of a mall shopper than I am. He was extremely happy with his purchase. I do know that there's Gino's Pizza. It's like the beacon of light at this mall. It has always been there since I found out about this mall. I like it here. It's a good place to stop by when you're on a budget, but want good food. I would say its relatively fairly priced. They also have other shops as well that sell clothing and cool goodies which is cool. I love strolling around while waiting for my food as there's always something I could look at. I would say though that the place is sometimes messy and the food court does get crowded sometimes. Service is also pretty quick.

They have underground parking witch not many people use since a lot just park out front of the businesses witch I think is quite sad since only few people know about it and most people who use it are people who work in the building above and or some customers use it after trying to find parking to no avail. Honestly, this complex should give more atention since most of the people only go for dining out, but it is also a place with a few wellnis facilities, a massage clinics, bubble tee places of course, and travel agencys. The second floor does have clinics witch makes it feel almost like Metro or Time square down the road. There is the ramp going from the street level down in to the parkade located behind the North eestern dumpling house, with the elevator leading you out next door in one of the 2 buildings. Over all, great place for richmond hill and near by residential neighborhoods.

I used to frequent Commerce Gate often when we could only order takeout during the pandemic. My go-to eatery was Kinton Ramen. The easiest way to access this restaurant would be travelling eastbound on Highway 7. There is a ramp into Commerce Gate that is one-way. It gets you to Kinton Ramen in one smooth move. After fetching my takeout, I'd drive around the parking lot at Commerce Gate to check out the eateries. There are so many that I had to stop because I was getting overwhelmed. There's everything from Korean Grill House to Asian Legend. The variety is amazing. This plaza also has a high concentration of bubble tea places. It rivals the same trend that you get at SkyCity Shopping Centre in Scarborough. CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice. TP Tea. OneZo Tapioca. The Alley. Now Tea. Chatime. Tiger Sugar. Hero Tea. I'm sure there are more bubble tea places, but those are the ones that come to mind. There are other businesses besides eateries and bubble tea. There are a few real estate offices, a florist, and dental office, a dessert place, and more. I haven't had a problem with parking. I do find that the setup is a bit weird. The parking lot isn't set up as a grid. Rather, the stores in this plaza kind of make up the letter C when you are looking at it on a map that faces north. I don't get it, but it does work. You just have to take Care driving in and out of it. C for Care. Get it? Haha! I should revisit the plaza more often. It has a bit of an industrial, rustic and contemporary vibe. Food we got: - Chicken Greek Salad from LiLi - Veggie Rolls from Kao Kang - Combo 2 from Szechuan (Choose your own: Shanghai Noodles, green beans and mushroom, spicy shrimp) Chicken Salad and the veggie rolls are on the healthier side of things. The veggie rolls were pretty expensive, especially for 6 pieces. The salad and Szechuan options were delicious and pretty good.
