I absolutely love Pearl District. It's one of my favorite places in the city. I used to visit whenever I came to San Antonio on vacation, and now that I live here, I make it a point to attend the many events held there throughout the year. Whenever friends or family come to visit, I always take them to the Pearl to explore the market, enjoy the festivals, or simply walk around and take in the atmosphere. There is always something happening, and it never disappoints. I truly love this place and all the memories it continues to create.
The Pearl Historic district was built on the grounds of the former Pearl Brewery. It is one San Antonio, TX tourist destinations. The Pearl has actually some remnants from the brewery such as the old brick buildings. The Pearl is along the Riverwalk path so you can actually cruise from the Pearl to Downtown San Antonio on a river boat. I have the pleasure of doing so and it is so much fun. The city has the top tourist attractions of any Texas city and the Pearl is high on the list. I know this because I grew up in San Antonio and I am native Texan. The Pearl is a culinary, shopping and tourist destination. Some key areas of the Pearl to check out is the Pearl Brewery remnants...of course, Emma Hotel (with its own unique history), Landino Michelin rated restaurant and a unique shopping experience such as Dos Carolinas (best known for its handcrafted guayaberas-traditional Latin shirts). At the Pearl you can find restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and bars, offering casual bites to nationally recognized fine dining. You literally could spend an entire day exploring the Pearl. Prices at some businesses tend to be at the higher end. Parking is generally free for the first two hours in the garage and in parking lots. However, periods exceeding two hours can be a bit pricey. Love the Pearl...if you have limited time in San Antonio, definitely choose the Pearl. The mixed-use setting connects you to the city's history while immersing you in its present and future.
Very nice area. I have been here two years, but have never checked out the full extent this area has to offer. Everything nearby is pricey, but is still cool to be in a walkable area of the city and have a fun time!
You really can't beat the atmosphere at the Pearl. Whether it's a weekend morning for the Farmers Market or a weeknight for dinner, it's easily one of my favorite spots in San Antonio to just walk around and soak in the vibe. * The Vibe: Always lively and beautifully maintained. It's the perfect blend of historic architecture and modern energy. * The Food: So many incredible options--I love swinging by Pullman Market for local finds or grabbing a bite at one of the spots near the green. * Pro Tip: If you're driving, the garage parking is usually the move to save time, especially on busy weekends! Always a 10/10 experience for a staycation day or showing people around town.
The Pearl area is beautiful and has a lot to offer. From Pullman Market, to the many food options both inside the market and at the bottling company (several food vendors and a bar), market shopping, the outdoor grass area and water features for kids, and several other restaurants (Mon Chou Chou, Ladino, Best Quality Daughter, to name a few) and shops (Twig book shop). You could be here the full day. Hotel Emma is here as well, with their lovely bar and restaurant. It feels a bit higher end than the market area, with a great lounge (that does not feel very kid friendly but the rest of the Pearl area is extremely kid friendly). Gorgeous hotel and interior. Pearl also has weekday Night Markets, movie showings, and a weekend (Sat and Sunday) Farmers Market. The Pearl also has access to the River Walk, which is never crowded and a nice walk as well. Be ready to take the stairs to access it. The river shuttle ferry has a stop there also, if you'd want to take it from the other parts of the River Walk. They have parking lots under the highway, or at the Pullman Market, or street parking.
It is really impressive how the Pearl area transformed throughout the years. They have so many things going on and now the watch parties for the World Cup is a plus! The only negative is the parking and planning to get to it specially on week days after work
The Pearl Historic District is a historical district that turned into a fun area that is useful to the masses. There are amazing dining options, an enlightened grocery store, spas, hair salons, cafes, boutiques, bookstore, hotels and apartments. Not only is it a great hub for the locals to unwind, gather or shop, it is also connected to the San Antonio Riverwalk and suitable as a tourist destination. The shops in this district are suitable for those looking for a vibrant area that has quality of life. However, it is to be expected that the price points are on the higher end. It is a nice addition to San Antonio's cultural and food scene. The main attractions are fabulous restaurants, Hotel Emma, Pullman Market, bars, shops, bakeries etc.
I was here at the Pearl yesterday reviewing the Central Market Rotisserie Chicken when it dawned on me. San Antonio is AWESOME. There is so much soul in this city. I've had some amazing food from Taquitos West Ave, 2M BBQ, Al Carbon Pollos Asado, etc, but what really sold me was the community feel in this city. The Pearl is a huge walkable plaza with great restaurants, coffee shops, seating areas, a river walk, public events, etc. Yesterday there was a seemingly endless farmers market going on with local vendors selling everything you could ever need, kids playing tackle football in an open green pasture, and people just enjoying their Sunday in the sun with a beer or some fresh grub from Palmer Market. There is such a strong community here. It's infectious. I pride myself on forming my own opinions on damn near everything, almost to a fault at times, but this weekend has made me realize that I let Charles Barkley and my hatred for the early 2000s San Antonio Spurs form my opinion on this city. Came through for the Pearl Market on a Sunday and it was super busy! I love this area to walk around and explore the events, restaurants, boutiques and the weekend markets ... Saturday and Sunday markets host different vendors, so check their website if there's something you are looking for specifically. There was an ice rink since it was around the holidays when I visited this time. The area is clean and very family friendly! I'd definitely recommend this if you are interested in shopping local!
This was a pleasant "1st-time" experience. Came here with some friends and sat outside for their little one to play. Unfortunately, the outside splash pad area was "under maintenance ". We still enjoyed the overcast and lite breeze. Ordered some oysters from the Pullman Market, a Wagyu burger, and some slices of pizza. Oysters were another 1st for me, and they just taste like the ocean. That's the best way I can describe it. The burger was a miss for me. It wasn't horrible, but it just didn't make me want another. The pizza got a thumbs up vote from the kiddo! Not sure how crowded this place gets typically, but I think the crowds were missing due to the day we visited was Memorial Day. I'll definitely return, because there's so much more to explore/experience here.
Just an overall nice space to take in for a couple hours with nothing on your agenda. You can enjoy a walk, shop, and dine. I found parking to be pretty easy in a nearby ramp. There's also a small park in the center, just outside the food hall, where you can just sit and enjoy some food or a nice day.

While I temporarily lived in San Antonio for a few months, the only reason I would make a trip to the Pearl was to stop by Stable Hall for a show. There's so much more that the Pearl has to offer. On the weekend, they run one of the best Farmers Markets in the city, and when that's not going on, it's a fantastic space to exist with places like Bakery Lorraine and Local Coffee for some drinks and pastries, Pullman Market or Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery for some good eats, Lick if you need a little treat, Jazz, TX for JAZZ MUSIC, and of course, Stable Hall for an incredible space with a consistently fantastic lineup. That's just the tip of the iceberg at the Pearl. The former spot for the Pearl Brewery has become one of the best mixed-use spaces in the 210. There is now the recently opened Pearl Putt mini-golf space for a quick recreational activity, Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott, cute locally-owned shops, plenty of green spaces to run around in and relax, a book shop, a wine bar, and so much more. There are plenty of outdoor bars, with some connected to the larger establishments, to grab a drink at and wander. The Pearl District is the new Riverwalk without feeling like a tourist trap. It's such a beautiful area of town and a spot that makes San Antonio remain one of the best major Texas cities (outside of Austin, of course). The Pearl forever. One of the best shopping areas in SATX. Has lots of charm to it and great qualities. It's a place for almost everyone. Here's the break down Shops: 5 stars They offer a wide variety of places to shops. Food, books, clothes, keepsakes, and more. The shops here aren't your typical shops you find at the mall which makes the pearl really attractive to me. Although I believe that they have a rather small collection they frequently have vendor pop ups which is a must to experience! Ambiance: 5 stars I truly adore the outdoor concept of the pearl as it's beautiful done. Including greenery, fountains and outdoor seating. It's all very pretty and well put together. Each store front looks very timeless and elegant. Despite this, it also makes for a harsh visit during the summer and most shops do close before sun set so that's a little bummer but if you pick your day wisely all is perfect! read more

Best vibe ever! Cool wine bars, different shops with unique finds, great restaurants...people just hanging out in the different spaces...lots of gorgeous historic buildings. There's a market that makes fresh pasta and has all kinds of great things in it, including bars and restaurants. You're also on the Riverwalk...so lovely places to sit and look out over the river. read more

Super chill spot to hang out with a decent sized lawn, splash pad for kids, food call, and upscale restaurants around the Hotel Emma. Right along the riverwalk and about a 30 minute walk from the touristy area of the riverwalk. I loved this area with nice architecture and greenery. There were multiple people taking wedding or professional photos with the beautiful scenery at the Pearl. They also have a farmers market on Saturday and Sundays. read more

Great place to walk around and check out cool spots for food / drinks! Very dog friendly area too - so many cute dogs walking around! Stopped by Sunday night with my family and got a coffee and bakery Lorraine and also some ice cream inside the Pullman market. So many cool options for anything you can think of! read more

My go to for whenever I visit San Antonio! It's such a great place to experience good food and culture with many shops that each offer unique finds! From the farmers market on the weekends to the little hole in the wall places or movies in the park, it's a great place for all ages and for any time of the year. read more

Ok so shame on me for just now writing this review! I live nearby and come to the Pearl almost daily. It's definitely something San Antonio can be proud of. There are cute boutique stores, a food hall, multiple restaurants and the historic Pearl Brewery/ Hotel Emma. This is one of those places locals go to grab coffee and sit outside and read a book. Or let their kids run around in the splash area. Or take a walk along the Riverwalk. It's a beautiful area of San Antonio that you must bring visitors. I could go on and on about how great this place is but youll have to find out for yourself! The Farmers and Makers Markets on the weekends are also a must! read more
