Dr Meaux and April are wonderful!! PRVH have the most hardworking staff ever! Their kindness is always there and give 100% every time.

They took excellent care of my very sick cat Midnight and even followed up the next day to check on him! I was able to get an appointment the same day I called, didn't have to wait long to get in the back, the doctor also came in the room in a timely manner and was very thorough with his check up, and best of all they are affordable. I genuinely feel like the doctors and staff truly care about the well-being of animals more than they care about money! I was once again visiting friends in Pearl River, and for the second time, in 3 years, I had to use this clinic. First time was for my cat, and his time it was for my dog. We travel full time in our RV with 5 dogs and a cat. When visiting our friends here in Pearl River, one of my dogs had an issue, which required him to see a Veterinarian. I called for an appointment and was given one right away. The doctor and staff are very friendly and professional. I am so happy to know that when I come into town, that this place is here for any possible issues that may arise with my furbabies. I've always been highly satisfied with this clinic! Recently my baby went in for a dental and I was very upset at myself for letting his little teeth get so bad. The dr and the assistant called me multiple times throughout the day to inform me of how he was doing and what process we were gonna choose as far as extractions and what teeth were best to leave and take. The compassion from the staff is above what I expected. To add, about a month ago we had to put our 12 year old lab to sleep, the hardest decision we've made. Again the staff was so compassionate, even letting us leave out the back side door so we didn't have to walk back through the lobby with our baby. Our cat had fever the day before opening along with sneezing/congestion. I had to work Monday morning (530am). I told my husband to just show up at 800am, not having an appointment, at the vet office. Pearl River Veterinary Hospital got him in quickly, assessed him and did not order unnecessary blood work and CXR. He was sent home with medication and was told to call if anything changed or he didn't get better in a few days. Thank you all so much for what you do! read more

I couldn't be more pleased with Pearl River Veterinary Hospital. When my cat took ill, even though I hadn't yet gotten a vet for him since moving to Pearl River, the very nice staff fit me in for an appointment. Dr. Tommie Zeller treated my cat, and thoroughly explained every issue and treatment. I was treated with great respect and consideration, and my cat also seemed quite comfortable with the doctor and staff. What a gem! read more

Disrespect I was so happy to find Dr. Kern. Recent events have allowed me to see a side of him I didn't know existed. My wife and I confirmed with the staff beforehand that they were ok with us getting our products from PetMeds, and Dr. Kern always tries to help you save money. In my first order, they rejected it and I had PetMeds send a fax to them that all that is required is a confirmation from the vet. There's no need to talk to the owners in this matter. After the fax, Dr. Kern called me up and was the rudest person I had ever talked to as a vet. He felt the wording in the fax was unnecessary, and I told him I didn't even read what PetMeds sent to him. I read it after this rude phone call, and it only stated that it was my right as a patient to request prescriptions. The fax was not even close to how rude Dr. Kern was with me on the phone. He has recently sent me a letter stating he dropped my animals as patients. He is losing HUNDREDS of dollars over FORTY. I'm perplexed as he was by far one of the best vets until this occurence. I guess my advice is try to stay on his good side, but this really hurt me that he acted this way. I had referred so many family and friends to him, and they will now be dropping him as a vet for their pets. I don't consider myself a hard person to get along with, and I even tried to go talk to him face to face to try and straighten this out. He wouldn't even come out to do that.
