I've been a full time employee, a long term sub, and a sub for a day or two here and there. Pasadena Memorial High School is one of the few schools that I'll regularly work at if I'm available. The staff is friendly and accepting. The students are that I've interacted with have been friendly as well. They have safety as a priority and enforce the rules to make sure that students and staff are in a safe learning/working environment. They have many different sports teams, extracurriculars, and different activities and opportunities for students to excel. They also have a college and career center to help students with dual credit, college, and career opportunities. It's definitely helpful for the students and makes me wish that my school had these kind of programs when I was growing up. I've seen and worked at a lot of schools in Pasadena. This is one of my favorites.

Administration isnt secretive they will send notification of events, concerns, everything occurring on campus and that's a plus. Yeah school has become so awful that I communicate about the safety of lack thereof before the awesome instructors. Because my kid speaks highly of her instructors and I agree they are great and they too keep parents involved and informed. Overall great school

I wouldn't trust a lot of the adults…read morewho works here, most of them are self-centered robots who attempt to maintain order the best they can, while not knowing how to properly maintain order. They're all desperat. As a result, this leads to kids feeling unsafe, or targeted. I've even be followed into bathrooms by AP's, just because of the way I look. I've been followed by multiple staff members, and watched from afar while eating, talking to a friend, or just walking to class. I've turned around after using a urinal to face a teacher telling me to get out, and who had been watching me use the bathroom. This school will make you feel uncomfortable, and the adults will make you feel unsafe. They searched everyone's bags for finals week (To avoid senior end of the year pranks, that's lame) And some kid managed to bring in a gun. They kept us all at school, though. And they were fine having school the next day. Also most of the teachers, not all of them, are unsatisfied with their jobs. They don't get paid nearly as much as they should, and they're forced to show up when they really shouldn't have to. I've listened to my teachers complain about how they're treated and how they don't even know what most of the office people even do, or what their purpose is. Clear Brook High School.
