Appreciate the hiring reflects a diverse community. One gentleman who helps me adjust my glasses is just kindest most helpful technician ever. I really appreciate how he makes sure my frames fit well. Not everyone in the office is the kind and helpful. And one time, my family member passed away and I ended up being 7 minutes late to my appointment. They treated me so mean. I was nearly in tears but they berated me for being late. One staff member makes fun of me for my personal preferences. However staff have worked here for years so they must love their jobs. That says something for this business.

I went to that store and was greeted by a middle-aged female service agent. She kept me for over an…read morehour trying to convince me to keep the eyeglasses. She was very rude and impolite, and she attended to other customers while leaving me standing at the counter. She took measurements of my old glasses and the new ones and told me that the left lens of my old glasses had a stronger prescription than the new ones. I told her that I could not waste any more time trying another pair and that I needed a refund. She asked me for the case, and I told her I had left it at home but had another case in my car that I could bring. She insisted it had to be that particular case because she was going to return everything to the company. I drove 25 miles back home to retrieve the case and the 7-inch cleaning cloth. On my way back, I realized there was another Target in Allen that would save me about 6 to 7 miles of driving. I went to that store and gave the agent everything, mentioning that I had driven 25 miles just to bring the case. He was surprised and returned the case to me as a courtesy, apologizing on behalf of the agent who had refused to accept it without it. I will never return to that optical store again.

When you first walk in, the reception area and frames section are very bright and clean. I love the exposed wooden beams. Everything, including exam room was clean and inviting. It may seem silly but they have an air purifier that was humming and felt like a calming, white noise while you wait for the Dr. I arrived 15 minutes early just in case I needed to do anything extra with checking in since it was my first visit. I had completed the new patient paperwork online ahead of time but gave myself that extra time just in case. Turns out, I didn't need it but no problem. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly while checking me in. My appt was set for 11:30 and at exactly 11:30, Chloe - Optician called me for the initial exams. She was very thorough and detailed every step and what she would be looking for. We had a friendly conversation and then she placed me in a room at about 11:50. I'm giving time stamps to help manage your expectations but of course, every patient may take less or more time depending on your needs and questions. Dr. Kirscht arrived at 12:07 for her part of the exam. She is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and never made the visit feel rushed. She explained things I had never been told before and truly help my understanding of my vision, eye health, and needs going forward. Once finished there, the receptionist (I apologize I didn't catch her name), escorted me back to the front where she introduced James -Optician to help me select frames and discuss options. James was very kind and friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's hard to pick out frames when you can't see yourself so I trusted his judgment. He gave great feedback and I found a pair pretty quickly that I loved. I was also able to purchase for $40 a pair of magnetic sunglasses frames for my glasses! I loved that this option was available. He also took time to explain what insurance covered and any out of pocket expenses. A bonus was I am able to pay 50% up front and remainder of balance when I pick up my frames which is a wonderful option for those needing it or just wanting to. I walked out by 12:50! So a little over an hour for everything and that included discussion of a Retina specialist. (Yes, I'm being referred if you read this pray for me ugh!) I've visited two other places in Allen for eye exams. None have been horrible or bad experiences but; I loved the vibe here, the welcoming staff, the clean environment, and the wealth of knowledge they all have in their field of expertise. Out of the 3 - this is by far my favorite. James was not pushy with up-selling nor try to talk me into grandiose frames that cost the most. It felt genuine and honest. I appreciate that. However, she was calling to let me know they couldn't do the glasses apparently something to do with the frames. I said no problem I'll be in for a refund. This evening I came to pick up my glasses that I dropped off for them to change into prescription glasses and to get a refund. They were very helpful and giving me my refund. The problem started when they couldn't return my glasses. Apparently the company that creates the prescription sent back the wrong lenses , therefore now I'm stuck with paying for a pair of glasses that I can't return because they sent the wrong lenses back? The young lady seem very helpful, but didn't seem very knowledgeable on what she couldn't could not do very disappointed after spending $750 for two pairs of glasses It's really not the money it's the lack of returning the glasses.
