I am desperately trying to get her removed from this facility. Worst decision ever. Every time I visit her there are seniors in the open room sitting face down at the tables. Her friendly attitude trickles down to her staff. The facility is up-to-date, clean, spacious, and cheerful. The planned activities, which are vital to a person's well-being, were plentiful and fun. The activity directors are personable and compassionate. They often just came around to chat. The nursing staff is on top of their game! They log everything and are truly concerned for the health of their residents. They will keep the family up-to-date. The menu is full of variety and the food is tasty. Our family was well-pleased with the care given to my sister. She was thriving there and really enjoyed making new friends. We had peace of mind that she was safe. The staff knew our family by name. Unfortunately, my sister passed away after one year of being there of health complications while in the hospital. The director and staff were so compassionate towards us. The director even drove of few of my sister's new found friends to her funeral plus a few staff members came as well. The move-out process was unrushed considering all the many tasks that were on our plate. Every facility has its pros & cons. And, yes we had a few minor issues, but they were addressed in a timely manner. I highly recommend this facility.

I enjoyed transporting residents back to their rooms as I had many great talks with them. Most shared what was on their heart with me, some shared their fears, and a few their passions. I give this facility one star because that is the lowest rating I can give. I dealt with bullying, belittling, and racial prejudice on a daily basis. I reported this to corporate many times, but to no avail. I struggle with depression and anxiety, so everyday was a battle to go to work. I worked in the therapy department, and unfortunately most of my co-workers treated their patients like numbers. There is little to no empathizing and understanding with the patients. This made the residents upset and my heart broke for them. This facility is focused more on speed than its patients. Do not work here.

So many smiles and cheer they bring to the residents. The activities are varied enough that there is something for everyone. The location is wonderful with so much within walking distance. My father passed a year ago and our entire family including my Mom were treated so kindly. My mother has had to move up through the care levels and it always feels like they customize her care to best fit her specific needs. We also found that for the services offered, and quality of life, the price is very reasonable indeed! And the food quality at BLT is the best around. It's not your 'typical' institutional food. Among other things, they neglected to take proper care of his catheter, which was confirmed by an ER nurse. He got a severe infection and became septic. The night he went to the ER, they actually called me to ask if I thought he should go. I asked about his stats, and although I'm not a doctor, it was pretty clear to me he needed immediate care. I said to send him. I was shocked that since they are supposed medical professionals, they didn't make this conclusion on their own. Unfortunately, he never recovered. During his short time at the hospital, it was discovered that he had severe bed sores. This was never communicated to us by O'Neill, and as far as I know, they did not try to treat them, just let them get worse. Before this most recent emergency, he made several other trips to the ER due to their negligence, including being infected by covid. To be somewhat fair, I've seen several nursing homes this year, and they are all bad. But, that is no excuse. I would never, ever recommend sending a loved one here. On top of all this, communication was terrible, and had I not gone there frequently to ask about his condition, no one would've reached out. Billing people were rude and even the social worker was of zero help. I would rather take my own life than be sent here for "care". Horrible and disgraceful.
