I'm not blaming the care keepers of the park, it not their fault. There are too many dogs over the 25 pound weight limit in the smaller dog area. It hasn't occurred once but greater than 10 times. I was at the dog park earlier today with my 2 dogs and there was only 1 other dog and person there who left before I did.. I was getting preparing to leave, went for the leaches with the harnesses attached only to find them gone.. In 33 years of having dogs, living in 6 different states, 9 different cities, nothing like this has ever happened to me before I still am in disbelief. He stole my property read more

Nice place to take your dogs. Love taking my pups, they recently evened out the floor and added a few rocks next to the trees to discourage digging. Right now area is clean & I hope it continues to stay that way. I suggest walking around the gate before you enter so you can see how the dogs are interacting, as some ppl take their untrained dogs sadly. read more

I've been searching for a park to take my son (my german shepherd) Toby. We found this small dog park in Pebble Hills, and Toby absolutely loves coming here. My dog is the most friendliest dog, and so he likes to make friends while he's here. The unfortunate thing is this park doesn't have any shade. I believe there is one tree that provides about a foot of shade. So usually we try to come around sunset, since the afternoons are blazing of sun and heat. There is one bench for people to sit (approximately 3 people can sit), so if you come when its crowded you may have to stand. There are also no restrooms here. This park does supply doggie poop bags, I just wish people would use them. I always catch myself looking down to make sure I don't step in it. People, PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR PETS. THIS IS NOT YOUR BACKYARD. They also have a water dispenser outside incase you forget to hydrate your pup. They have a few obstacles that the well trained pups can jump through. My dog just sniffs it. There are two sides to the park, so if you're dog isn't a super social fur ball, you can always use the other side of the park which has an enclosed area to separate the dogs. If you're dog(s) are aggressive, and not in a playful way, I suggest you don't bring them here, as people do let there dogs run free of leash to explore and play. I wish this park was maintained better since theres trash, dog poop and all kinds of other things on the ground which could possibly injure the dogs. I'm giving this place 4 stars mainly because its one of the ONLY dog parks in east El Paso.. and because Toby really enjoys himself here. read more

It is unfortunate that this is the only dog park not on Fort Bliss. El Paso seriously lacks dog friendly parks, and sadly this one isn't that great. Being the only park in the area, I have bringing my dogs here for 3 years. It was much nicer three years ago. The grass has not been maintained, and the entire park is ridden with dirt and rock patches. There is hardly any shade. This park has been open for several years, and they are just now starting to plant trees. Those trees, however, are not big enough yet to provide any shade. This park is split into two different size runs: one larger run for the bigger dog, and one not so much smaller run for the smaller dogs. The doggie water fountain is located on the outside of the fenced in area.. How much sense does that make? Every other dog park I have visited in other cities places the doggie water fountain on the INSIDE of the park, so the owners dogs can water their dogs while staying inside the fence. But I digress.. that water only works 1/4 of the time anyway. There are only two benches per run. Yep, that is right. Only two. Way to go El Paso Parks and Rec. Be prepared to bring your lawn chair, and hopefully it doesn't get pissed on. Parking sucks too. The only place to park is along the curb. There is no parking lot. If the park is busy that day (usually in the last hour or two before dark), be prepared to walk a ways. The park has a set of rules posted, but they are rarely followed. Too often are there owners with uber-aggressive dogs that just refuse to leave, or people who don't pick up after their dogs. Poop bags are available (sometimes), yet most don't even use them. Be careful where you step! As much as I dislike this park, it is the only one in town. EP needs to step up, and open up some more dog friendly parks. Hopefully they will be nicer and better maintained than this one. read more

Today I came to the dog park to let my dogs have some fun. I was there for 5 minutes. And my dog got brutally attacked and I had to take her to the vet. If you know or see the yellow lab with three legs stay the fuck away from it. He will attack. My vet said her dog got bit by him as well! The owner didn't even help or acknowledge what was going on. My dog got bit right under her eye. So be careful while going there. It's not worth a $100 vet bill. read more

Since El Paso seriously lacks dog-friendly areas, the dog park is kinda the only place we can take our dog. It's separated into two sides: one for small dogs and one for big dogs. There's almost no shade which is really bad especially for the El Paso weather. They just planted two trees last year but they are still too small. As for seating possibilities for us humans: there are two benches on the big-dog-side and one of them has no shade-cover. The water fountains outside the fence don't work and often there are no poop-bags left so make sure to bring your own bags. It's also just dirt so don't expect a nice grass-area... Typical for El Paso I would say. All in all, our dog loves it because she gets all her energy out since so many people visit the park. Some even bring their own camping chairs because there's not enough benches, and in the afternoon around 5pm, there's a group of people that meets there on the regular. They're like their own little community but they are very friendly to new people that show up. read more

This is actually the first gated dog park I've been to. Are they anymore gated dog parks yelpers? Anyways, I had come here at night around 8:30 p.m. since I was in the area with family and my pup. I have a shih tzu/daschund. She loves to run around and explore parks, but I guess we had come at a bad time. The left side are for large dogs and the right side are for small dogs. Unfortunately, The large gated area is under construction. So my pup didn't do too well with large dogs when both size dogs were together. I wanted to expose her to other dogs, but I guess bad timing lol. The area could use some light posts inside the gated area to brighten the scene. It gets super dark and I think my cousin stepped on poop. Lol. Uh oh. Also, there's barely any grass I guess that's typical. Water fountain outside too. I believe the park closes around 9p.m. the people were friendly to talk to and explained the rules. I may bring back my pup when the park starts to separate size dogs. Clean, fenced in areas. Newer park so the trees aren't fully grown and doesn't offer any shade. But it is a nice area.

This park is nice & has lots of room for the dogs to run and play, my only complaints are that there is no shade for dogs or humans & no place to get water for the dogs (I usually bring my own but still). read more

not a bad dog park. Really convenient to where I live. Great size and they have the big dog/small dog splitter. Yes it's fenced off. The biggest Down side is the amount of poop on the sides of the gates and in the park in general. Dog owners please clean up after your selves. read more

This was by far the dirtiest and most disgusting dog park I have ever been to and in El Paso. There is so much dog poop you can barely walk, its even everywhere outside the fenced in area. The regulars should be ashamed and the city should lock it up until dog owners learn how to pick up after their dogs. Don't waste your time, and just go to the one on the west side off of Resler! read more

I'm still a relatively new dog owner, so I do not know exactly what a good dog park should or should not have. I can say that my Miniature Schnauzer Ms. Barkley loves to go to this park. She knows as we start to get closer, and starts to jump around the car "Yelping". This particular park is divided in two, the left side is for large dogs, while the right is for small dogs. There is a main gate, then secondary gates for both sizes of dogs. Out front is a water fountain for both Human owners and their four legged friends! Within the enclosed park areas, are trash cans for rubbish, a poop bag dispenser (please use them Humans, nothing worse then running around playing with your dog and stepping in someone else's mess), semi shaded bench, non shaded bench, and a few obstacle installations for those trying to teach an old dog new tricks. We have come here several times, and I have always met the nicest dog owners. It's fun and exciting for her, and I also enjoy time spent here. read more

I mainly gave it 3 stars because it's the closest dog park to us and the fact that most of the people monitor their dogs and they're all pretty nice (except when they don't pick up after their dogs.) I have 3 dogs, 2 medium and 1 large so we stay on the big dog side so I can't really speak for the small dog section... There isn't really any shade for the dogs, no water access besides the fountain in the front so we always bring our own, lots of poop (which again, is more of a lack of responsibility for peoples own dogs) and lots of rocks. I have a lab mix whose sole joy in life is fetch. I have to closely monitor his feet because after running so hard after a few throws, his pads start to get cut up and I don't want him playing anymore because he would probably play until his feet were nubs. The other 2 dogs dont really have this problem though because they dont run as hard as he does. It's just a shame though, they have a lot of fun but we can't ever stay more than an hour due to the inconveniences. read more
