We came to pebble junction hearing good things however, The service was not good. we requested and purchased red lava rock. When the rocks were laid, it changed colors and was not lava rocks. They sold us the wrong rocks. Instead they gave us Trap rock, which in turn turned colors, I have pictures with my yard. For the value this was not worth it. I had to purchase from Lowe's. They only gave us credit for 3 lava rock bags out of over 20 bags we purchased. This is highly unprofessional. We paid for lava rock and did not receive, instead trap rock. Place seems to have a big selection of landscaping rocks and pavers. Seems to be geared towards companies not so much DIY - unless you have a truck to load free rocks into. Friendly staff however, many rocks were out of stock until later in Oct., but that happens. read more

We are so so disappointed in this company and wish we had gone with another one. First we gave them the measurements (Gina) and they calculated the wrong amount of stone so we were under when it was delivered which ended up causing us to need to rent extra equipment to pick up the remainder of the rock we needed. They never acknowledged this error or apologized for it or did anything to make it right. Then when we were having the second delivery, they told us it would be delivered in the afternoon sometime and called us at 9:30 in the morning to tell us they would be there in 30 minutes. When we told them we weren't ready and we're originally told it would be delivered in the afternoon, the response from Gina who called said "Well, things change." We've never experienced such horrible and rude customer service anywhere. Would highly recommend taking business elsewhere to avoid a massive headache and unexpected expenses. read more

Your one stop rock shop I needed rocks. A whole lot of rocks. In fact I suspected I needed about a ton of small rocks. That isn't as much as you would think because rocks are heavy but it still is a lot of rocks. A friend recommended Pebble Junction as the best place to get whole heaps of rocks and boy was he right. They could charge admission for idiots like me to go and just look at all the rocks I love geology and I love looking at rocks and this place was incredible. Rocks of all kinds everywhere. Big rocks, little rocks and rocks in between. This was rock heaven. Well I picked out the rocks I wanted and this guy with a big loader thing scooped them up and dumped them in my truck. I paid for them and off I went. Quick, easy and remarkable inexpensive considered how much I would have paid if I got the rocks in little 50 pound bags. So I got my ton of rock and built my tree island and had a great time looking at all the cool stuff at Pebble Junction. I visited Pebble Junction today to make a large outdoor landscaping project purchase. It soon turned into a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this disorganized joint. The sign near the office directed customers to a building with a red roof. Upon approaching the outdoor red roof shack there was a line of customers with a 15 minute wait time. After waiting 15 minutes the clerk directed me back to the office for assistance with my order. When entering the office it was apparent no one was available to assist customers. Two employees stayed on the telephone for about 25 minutes and in clear sight of both employees neither one offered any assistance. Another employee then entered the office and I asked for help. Instead of presenting a product catalog or brochure the employee directed me to walk around the huge grounds to hunt for what I may want to purchase. Never mind I had already described in detail what I needed for my landscaping project. Rather than return to the office and wait another half hour or more (for no help) I decided to instead leave and find another company much more interested in a thousand dollar sale. Luckily, Home Depot offers the needed materials online and I scheduled delivery through their website. Pebble Junction employees need a major tune up. They clearly have no interest in customer service, no sense of urgency, no procedures in place to wait on customers, and no respect for other people's time. read more

If you plan on going during this Coronavirus insanity, don't waste your time like I did. Drove out there on Saturday and they're closed right now on Saturdays. Drove back out today on a Monday, and they're open, BUT ONLY LETTING 1 vehicle in at a time and not allowing browsing of any sort. Even though it's OUTDOORS AND SPREAD OUT on acreage. Each visit I am more and more disappointed. I have purchased over 150 bags of extra large stone which turns out to be 99% under an inch and 1% three inch. I mentioned to the salesman that on our last few trips the bags of rock have been very disappointing. He said all the bags come out of a big hopper and you get what you get. That would be fine if I got 1 to 3 inch rocks as advertised. Not when I get lots of below 1 inch rocks about 5 two inch rocks and 3 three inch rocks. Waste of my time and money. read more

I like to say I'm very easy going and absolutely see things from a customers perspective as well as a business owner & employee. We visited their rock yard today and were treated extremely bad. We have been building waterfalls for many years and have done tons of business at this place. They wouldn't recognize me because our construction manager and his team go there to pick up. At least 3 different employees told us they were closing soon. We arrived 15 minutes prior to them closing, we let them know that we would only be a few minutes to take photos for a job we are currently working on. We were basically kicked out 3 minutes before closing time. So disappointed in the hateful attitude They displayed. I will never buy there again. Another rock yard that we do business with is soon moving to that area. Smokey Valley, they are extremely nice and helpful. They will put a hurting on pebble junction if they continue to treat their customers this way. They don't even deserve 1star but You have to give a star in order to post review. read more

For our butterfly garden, I wanted to use the Palmetto Green stones to offset the brown, rubber mulch I was using. The color contrast is incredible. My wife came up for 10 bags; and, then we both returned with two CR-Vs to get 20 more bags (10 in each car.) On both visits, we paid ahead; and, drove up to where the stones were. Pebble Junction personnel loaded our cargo areas; and, we checked out with the guard at the gatehouse. Great visits each time; and, I only wish I had the imagination to purchase some of the larger stone specimens and incorporate them into our landscaping... maybe one day! read more

So my first time going it was a little tricky to get to from so far but I made it. It was overwhelming when I first got there is actually so much to choose from it's great. I went out there for about 30 to 40 minutes just looking at different rocks that I would possibly want. I'm going to be heading back in another few weeks to actually pick up what I need. Customer service outside on the yard was OK I guess. Anyway if you need any type of custom rocks for landscaping or ur building something, a patio, whatever this is the place to go... so I'm basing my review off the selection, availability of custom rocks and boulders. read more

Pebble Junction has been very helpful in providing rocks and yard landscaping materials--they've delivered to us several times and we were quite happy with most of them except the first, when we failed to buy the rocks in a bag. The result was a mess in the yard for us. We've found that they can be cooperative about placing the rocks for a few additional dollars since our neighborhood HOA wants them placed in our yard in a particular spot. We've bought gravel, edging, washed shell, and landscape cloth from them. The staff can be very busy. Most prefer to work with commercial buyers but they will work with homeowners when they do large jobs. They offer pricing sheets via a handout that pretty much explains everything you need to know. You can walk the supplies (careful of workers driving equipment) if you ask. They have a good display of the different supplies and how they look in two display racks and via several sample gardens. Even if you hire the job done by someone else, its a good idea to look here because you'll have a much clearer idea about the work involved and the costs as well as what is possible. Gravel can be an alternative mulch that can help retain moisture in the garden and keep down weeds, so I'm a fan. read more

If you're looking for any type of rock, stone or pebble this place has a huge selection. We walked the lot looking to match our existing stone and having no idea what type we had. The place was hopping on a Saturday with a handful of workers. The first person we found to ask for help didn't know much and found another guy working a forklift who was a little more helpful. After we located the type of stone we needed we saw that the cost was actually quite a bit more than the same stone we had seen somewhere else. So as for selection, this place has a ton, literally. But when it comes to price they are not as competitive as some other locations. Hence the 3/5 stars read more

I have gone to Pebble Junction several times to hand pick stones and rocks for my succulent garden. I must say they have so many beautiful ones with lots of colors and texture. They even have a rock display board to give you some ideas. One could spend all day trying to decide on what to buy. The prices are reasonable and affordable. The staff is great with helping for what ever reason. Because of the epidemic, they are letting in one car at a time (just be patient). Once you get in you can take your time. I am a huge fan of rocks. Rocks, rocks, rocks galore. My new fave store. They let me wander and pick out one or two rocks here and another few here and didn't rush me or tell me to get out or anything. I would have thought I was annoying just selecting randomly different and awesome rocks for my rock garden which is a modge podge of crazy colors, swirls, and designs from all over, but they welcomed me with open arms. I didn't expect a guided tour or a salesman because yes, they do have larger accounts than some girl that's spending $6 on a few random rocks. Besides, that would probably annoy me because I had no idea what I wanted (usually how I shop anyways) but would know when I see it. The gentleman at the front was super-nice and helpful and even told me it wasn't goofy (I had asked because I know they do deal with large accounts and landscape artists who purchase a ton at a time) because I was selecting the small and different types of random rocks that I had. To those who claim the staff is rude and would rather deal with large scale buyers, wouldn't you if you were a large-scale buyer, want to deal with the people who are spending the most money and are most likely on a time limit due to business? And if you have to go into an establishment and ask the staff to pick out the rocks for you, why not try picking out what you like instead of what someone else says you should buy especially if their interests are that of the business and making money? And as for HOA's (aka Nazi dictators), you signed up for that and should not hate on them if they are unable to help right away. I had zero problems with staff there. They were very polite and kind. Try smiling and saying "Hi" when you walk by them. You will get so much further in life and with customer service (unless dealing with AT&T) by doing that. Remember, it's hot out there driving that machinery and they are in it all day. Have some compassion. I will def be back. It is a great place. Magical really. I do have one area in my yard that I am doing completely in Mexican beach pebble but the rest will be randomly chosen rocks. Every single one selected by hand and which I have put thought into prior to selection and purchase. They even have a rock called "imagination rock" that is similar in composition and shaping of the rocks I encountered in Eleuthera, a tiny little non-touristy island in the Bahamas. Many pictures were taken of these rocks and placed into a FB album entitled "Rock Formations I Can Eat Cereal From" because they had not just a bowl shape to them, but a nice deep cereal bowl shape. The owners and staff of Pebble Junction have searched far and wide to bring us some of the most amazing rocks from all over and we should appreciate this as a collective group of rockhounds and landscaping artists. Yes, they probably have the monopoly on rock stores in the area, but even if they didn't I would recommend Pebble Junction for all your rock-purchasing needs, however small or large. read more

The selection is great, but the customer service sucks. Been there three times. I think they know they are the only show in town and don't really care about the customer too much. There is a little hut in the middle of the product yard. Its always understaffed. Answers are short and curt. Be prepared to figure out a very confusing price list and be VERY careful with any items that are priced by the pound. read more

Have been a costumer since 2008. We simply asked for Cedar bark to be replaced or refunded after discovering that we were delivered a large super sack of mud. (We sent photos to Telly once the bag was opened). After 6 weeks of back and forth, Telly agreed to refund that portion of our delivery however, we never received a refund. We took a trip to pebble junction to pick up more rocks and resolve the issue at the same time. Telly believed that we had already received credit back on our credit card. A young woman came forward and said she was sorry she had not yet refunded the credit because she was out of the office. Telly then came forward and informed us after speaking with Ann, an elderly woman with large dark glasses, who Telly said is the manager in charge. Telly said she will only give us store credit for the stone. No credit for delivery fee, tax or supper sack Ann would only watch us from her corner desk but, would not speak to us directly. A bald headed man would run back and forth in talking with Ann while giggling. I told Telly, we have been long term customers and drive an hour to come here and that we won't be returning if this is how they were going to leave it. He shrugged his shoulders and handed us our last receipt. We have every intention of going to Smokey Valley in the future. They will be open soon not far from Pebble Junction. read more

After having limited luck finding the type of field stones that we wanted for a path locally, we were referred to Pebble Junction. It was a 50 mile drive, but well worth it. The salesman at the open-air covered checkout was very helpful and pleasant. He helped us find discontinued material that was 30% off. Since we purchased 5 tons, that saved a ton of money. In addition to the bulk material, we also hand picked some rocks, placed them on a little wagon provided to customers and had them weighed and totaled. My observations of the place are that it is laid out in a logical order and kept reasonably tidy. This is the first bulk dealer of stones that I have seen that had everything in neat rows and clearly labeled. You are given a price list to use as you browse the 15 acres. Despite it being a bulk stone distributor with heavy equipment running around, we felt very comfortable walking around on our own. This place has good selection of all kinds of rocks. But that's where the pros end. Staff is extremely disorganized. The girl in sales office did not know cubic yards, it took some time to agree on the amount of rocks we needed. No one could give us exact instructions on what the process is - first measure the truck, then pull up to the pile of rocks, then on the scale again I guess? It was very unclear, we had to go back and forth until we figured out what we had to do. When we were weighing the truck with the rocks some guy who works for this place started yelling that we needed to leave the scale even though we didn't get the go ahead from the girl in the sales office yet. We did because he was adamant about it just to find out that the girl wasn't even in the office to record the weight. Here we go again going back on the scale... seriously people get it together! We had a relatively large project and two tons of white river pebbles were delivered on Saturday morning by a very helpful driver. Well I went to Pebble Junction and they were so helpful and nice, I spoke to a sales rep and he gave me advice on how solve my drainage problem.
