Where do I even begin.... We've had 4 different primary care drs in the last 2 years because they keep leaving. They don't answer the phones and it's almost impossible to get an appointment. They prescribed my 8 year old with huge pills. Seems like common sense to prescribe a liquid. You can't get a hold of them to fix their mistake. I called to make an appointment for my first son about 6 months ago when he was sick and the office staff was very snippy over the phone. I just had my second child a few days ago. I called to make the appointment and I was shamed over the phone for not calling within 24-48hrs of birth. Even my level-headed husband found this treatment unacceptable. The doctors are awesome, the problem is their office staff. Our baby sees Dr Luan, and we absolutely love her. We never had any issues until our baby's four months wellness check plus vaccinations. Since Dr Luan is on her maternity leave, we had to make our four months appointment with some other doctor. However, our appointment on July 30th was cancelled the last minute due to the doc called sick. Then they refused to squeeze me in for an appointment ASAP as they said it's a wellness check not sick visit, so I can wait till Aug 12th. I called them again today as my baby has been coughing, and I was scheduled for the same day appointment. I was shocked when I was waiting for the doc, as you can see how dusty and dirty the vent is. I don't know why this place becomes so disorganized. Seriously thinking about to changing my pd clinic. read more

Let me preface this by saying I am not the kind of person to go around leaving bad reviews. However, we have had a truly horrible experience at the Wylie location. At the time of writing this post, our baby girl is 9 weeks old. We just came from our 2 month appoint where we waited an HOUR to see the doctor. That's right an HOUR with a nine week old baby. This visit was to get vaccinations -- that part was horrible!! The nurse who administered the shots was NOT gentle (I think you could accurately say she stabbed the needles into our poor baby's thighs!!). Not exaggerating. Mom and baby were both in tears afterwards. Also, the nurse BARELY informed us that she was giving the baby glucose prior to the shots (as in, she told us about the glucose AS she was starting to put it in our baby's mouth!). Finally, the doctors have been less than supportive of our desire to nurse. Anytime there were issues with weight checks, they always pushed us straight to formula. Let me start with the check in process. Absolutely ludicrous. I have to check in online, fine, but to ask any busy parent to set aside 20 minutes to do paperwork, baffling to me. Then when you finally finish the paperwork, the next day you get another text or email saying you need to resubmit the exact same paperwork you spent 20 minutes doing. Either figure out your system or do something else. Parents don't have a spare 20 minutes to fill out paperwork. Next let me address the pushiness and rudeness of your staff, specifically your nurses. I think there's about 2 nurses on staff whom are kind when I say I want to hold my children for vaccines, the rest tell me, you HAVE to catch up on vaccines or your child will get sick or die and you need to lay them down and hold them still. Really? Scare tactics don't work on us and we don't appreciate it. And finally, the doctors at this office are becoming way too pushy with vaccines and shoving their parenting beliefs onto parents. I'm here for medical advice, not parenting advice. We've chosen to delay vaccines and everyone at this office knows this. Instead of asking which vaccines we're doing for the day we are TOLD we have to do 6-8 vaccines that day, we're not doing that. Learn to treat parents and children with respect instead of ostracizing them because they have different beliefs than you. read more

We have been going to her for 5+ years and I have only had one bad experience. I can not say enough great things! Call them! They are the BEST in town! read more

I love the office workers and our kids' doctor, but the new check in system is awful. Since we have four children, we go to doctor's appointments quite often, and having to fill out the same information before every visit is annoying. And, yes, it is the same information over and over again. Even though it only takes 5 minutes; it is ridiculous to have to complete the same information for every visit. read more

All three of my children have been patients here for almost 3 years... I never loved any of the doctors but we also never needed anything more than the basics done so it worked. Today I called to make an appointment for my 8 year old daughter having a high fever(102.6 & up) and headaches and one of the drs/owners of the practice would not let her come in for treatment/testing because she missed her last well check visit. I'm disgusted to say the least...they won't help their sick patient because she didn't come in when she was healthy to be told that she is healthy...and of course get her 5 different vaccines. That's when you know it's all about money. I won't be going back there for any of my children. read more

I couldn't believe when I saw a 2.5 star review. When pregnant with my first child, we searched high and low for the right pediatrician and when we met Dr. Drake, I KNEW she was the one and this location has always been so accommodating and polite to us! Regardless of our experience with now two children.. I think it's kind of misleading to rate this office based on the front desk alone.. Because every doctor we have ever seen there has been simply amazing! They get us in quick, offer separate sick offices and have always sent us home with goodies like diaper rash cream, bathing products and formula when we have needed it which I just think is SO nice!!!!! We love Pecan Tree Pediatrics and I recommend it to all the parents I know. read more

Dr Zavadil is excellent especially for pre teens and teens. We also like that she doesn't rush or dismiss our questions.

The doctors are great but the office staff is horrible. Every time I have been in they have been very rude and not pleasant to deal with at all. And the last line was refusing to see my daughter because of a $60 balance while waiting on my flex spending card to come in. This office claims to offer "Saturday Sick Visits", the website stating that you can call as early as 8:30am to make an appointment same day. I called at 8:35am and sat on hold for 38 minutes waiting dor someone to answer my call. The girl that finally answered my call was hateful and rude, telling me that they don't offer same day sick visits for new patients, which would have been fine, but I explained to her that we had just moved to the area and didn't have a pediatrician yet. Her response was "then take him to Urgent Care". I tried explaining that my insurance doesn't cover urgent care, and she just replied "ok?". I finally asked to speak to someone else, and she gave me the "number" for the office manager. When attempting to call to leave a message for the office manager, I discovered that the number she gave me was not a working number. Wow. 1. The girl has absolutely no customer service skills, 2. She's obviously not a mother, 3. She should not be around sick children if she doesn't know how to treat people. Rediculous. read more

So, I never leave reviews, but after today I am finally bringing myself to write one. I have been taking my daughter to the Wylie location for a little over a year now. Dr. Pecson is the best, she is a great listener, professional, and always has an answer. It helps that my daughter (14 months) gets so excited every time she comes in and goes straight to her, Pecson rolls with it and holds her! I also spoke with Amy over the nurse line and she is seriously the greatest. Super helpful, gives great advice, and friendly! The only down fall about this place is that the front desk staff is not the nicest, with the exception of Maddison who is always friendly and excited to see us. read more

My son has been going here since he was 1 and I had no issues until the last 6-8 months. The staff is rude and it seems like each time I have some kind of balance on my account that they won't show or tell what it's from. I just need a simple piece of paper signed for my sons daycare and they refuse to sign it until October? Very fed up with this place and will not be returning. read more

I'm torn on my rating because we LOVE Dr. Zavadil. She is wonderful and thorough. My kids love her as well. But like the other reviews the front desk staff cause so many issues. I always get a random bill after the fact. Why aren't we given the full bill at checkout. I've never had this except here. Or once when I paid with my FSA card which is strict about use, they randomly over charged me for things we didn't get. When I asked for an itemized receipt they said I had to wait 10 days!! (If they can ask for a certain amount why can't I get a receipt at checkout??) When I finally got it I realized they over charged me. My FSA was not happy and complained to me and it was a big ordeal to get them paid back. I'd give our dr a 5 but staff a 2 since the billing is an issue on almost every visit. read more

Really disappointed with this location , I would never go back ! I always go to the wylie location with Dr.Pecson , BUT since my infant was running high fever for the last 2 days i was told (by their nurse when I called asking for availability) a doctor had to see her ASAP, Wylie location had no openings so I drove 45 min to Rockwall and now I'm home stuck with an infant with a temperature of 102.6 today's it's the third day ! Why ? Because the doctor a DR.Rae Luan said to give it another 24-48 hrs if it doesn't goes away then she'll run blood test ..uhmm no you are not ,because I'm not taking my daughter back to see you ...she refused to give her any antibiotics because my infant is a happy baby ! (As she claimed ) And because running blood tests was unnecessary! REALLY!!!!???????? Oh but then she said they'll call me tomorrow to check on her , if she still has fever then I'll have to take her back so they can run the blood test ... really disappointed and bummed , I had heard great review about this place. read more

I don't want everyone to know how great this place is EITHER because OUR FAMILY OF 4 LOVESSSSSSS JAIMI (Nurse) and Dr. Pecson and that's not the mention the front desk in Wylie and all of THEIR nurses who are pretty amazing to watch with our two toddlers but I thought I would share why Jaimi, in particular, was so amazing. Our pharmacy contacted them for a few refills and instead of just filling them, SHE CALLS me, asks me not only how my kids were doing but if the medicines were also helping our kiddos' allergies in this awful on and off weather. After I truly shared our struggles, she completely made the executive decision to recommend a different KIND of medicine (same type and brand, chewables vs. granules) and we never EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT that kind of change or if that was even possible. Not only did she call me about my babes, but then proceeded to call me back to tell me it was sent and successfully filled AND confirm some other things like paperwork I requested and appt confirmation - and that is truly hard to find when you deal with kids, doctors and the frustration that comes with that and I could never tell that it took time in her day - you would've thought I was the only mother she talked to that day, which made me feel like my babies are important like they are to me. Been going to PTP since my oldest's first dr's appt and don't have any plans of stopping until they don't need mommy anymore! Call them, you won't be sorry! read more
