Came here based on the reviews seeking shelter from the torturous heat. But alas, like most places in Brussels, if not all, they didn't have A/C so although we found respite from the blazing sun, the air was hot. My girlfriend had the sausage Benedict, the hollandaise sauce tasted clean. Most restaurants make them in big batches at a time, so sometimes it won't be as fresh. I had the Cuban sandwich and coming from Miami, I was really intrigued by their take on it. It wasn't the worst, but it was far from the best. The sandwich came in on what appeared to be sourdough bread which gave the sandwich an odd texture and flavor. I felt like it threw the sandwich off. It came with a bit too much mustard as well. Had one of their juices, not the lemonade, but the other one, all I remember was that it was pink and pleasantly tart. It had no sugar whatsoever, which I loved. If you're into that sort of thing, you'll love it too, I suppose. read more

Debating between 4 and 5 stars... Pecker ciabatta is delicious!!!!!! Perfect spices etc and taste ! Portion size is way too big, wish there was an option to get half a sandwich! Definitely the perfect spot to go to when youre hungry and want something healthy yet still filling! I had their brookie too, it didnt live up to my expectation :( it wasnt bad, it just wasnt amazing like their ciabattas.. it wasnt warm enough and i think the texture wasnt too perfect because of the fact that they leave it in the fridge :( maybe mine wasnt as good since it was a corner piece, but im going to maybe try it again next time Only reason im not giving it 5 stars is that: portions size and not perfect dessert! read more

This place was incredible!!! Gave us free water (which is apparently difficult to find in Brussels), they seated us quickly even though we were a party of 7, and food came out very quick. I ordered a Brazilian blast which was bigger than I expected and had a great amount of granola and bananas in it. My friend and I also split an eggs Benedict and it was really fresh, well-cooked, and absolutely delicious. So I was super excited to try this place and maybe I shouldn't have been as hungry when I came in. The waffles sounded really good and their brunch options are available all day (yay for a brunchaholic like myself) but they served half sized waffles. I got the Peck original waffle. I mean how do you not order something w/the same name as the establishment, it must be the best. Its a waffle with goat cheese and chorizo with some poached eggs on top....kinda like an eggs bennie but with a waffle. So the waffle is only half a waffle not the full round thing most people are used to (what did they do with the other half?). Didn't really taste the goat cheese or the chorizo (maybe they forgot both key ingredients?)....but those 2 flavors are pretty strong and I didn't really sense them. On the plus, the belgian beer they had there was good and the ambiance is pretty chill and hipster AF. It was super packed and we waited in line for like 15 minutes but it was totally worth it. I had the Peck Special and it was great. My mimosa was really good, it tasted like there was a light hint of lavender in it-- it sat well with me. My friend ordered a bloody marry and my other friend ordered some sort of alcoholic beverage that was blue for whatever reason but it was good! I think it had tequila in it which was a little much for me at 11 am but he enjoyed it. Our waiter was super nice and the menu is so vast. Wish they had sweet waffles rather than just savory ones so if you're in the mood for a sweet waffle, find a waffle stand or something on the street, but their savory waffles all look GREAT. The people at the table next to us were eating sandwiches that looked and smelled great, I considered ordering one to take home. Def recommend this place if you have time to wait-- they don't take reservations but they get you in as quickly as possible once you're waiting in line. The bathroom is really tiny and has like a sink, and then another door that leads to the toilet and it's all super cramped and gender neutral which is fine but I think unclear to people when they see someone of the opposite sex leaving the bathroom-- I noticed a few people looking for bathrooms of their gender assignment. Staying at the Days Inn Hotel in Salida, CO is a unique experience. The friendly personnel, the dedicated owner, the very clean rooms, the cozy lobby make this hotel what it should be: a very nice and clean place to stay overnight after a long day of traveling. The owner, Mark and his wife Anna have decorated the lobby, the breakfast area in western style but it's not kitschy at all! It must have taken many hours of designing and manufacturing all this! I had the Peck special which involved some waffles, bacon and poached eggs. Everything was delicious, but the waffles could have been slightly bigger. Not that I'm looking for the monstrosities from the states, but the egg/waffle ratio felt a little off. A minor complaint to be sure. We felt that the waffles were bland and too hard. The eggs were just OK. It just tastes like a typical egg dish from an American diner or a brunch place without any salt or seasoning. Had an astoundingly good brunch here back in October. We got the charcuterie/sandwich board, the cheese board, soup, and a couple of smoothies--it was almost an embarrassing amount of extremely high-quality food. For about €25 (ridiculously affordable by Brussels standards), we ate like kings for at least a couple more in-between meal snacks in addition to our full meal. Highly recommended, though as others have noted, the service can be a bit slow/frazzled if they're busy. As long as you don't have anywhere to be, just go with it. read more

We dined at both Peck 47 and Peck 20 (3 times in 5 days!). We love both places. The poached eggs were perfectly done (the yolks were deep yellow), served over a waffle with a flavorful sauce with a spicy kick. The salad (spring mix greens) was the perfect complement. My one wish is that they warm the lox a bit so it doesn't chill the rest of the dish. Worth standing in line 30 minutes or more, it's that good! read more

Really enjoyed this place for lunch and, ironically, as most everything is closed in Brussels on Monday morning, came back here for breakfast the next day. Their sandwiches are excellent and the selection of beer is decent. For breakfast, be certain to try their freshly-made juices which are excellent. The mushroom waffle with poached egg was simply exquisite as was the veggie brunch, which was a melange of vegetables including asparagus and leeks served with poached eggs and toast. Absolutely terrible, rude service. Waited patiently 20 minutes for them to open after being told the opening time wasn't until 9am. While I was waiting, they let 3 people in and seated them, serving them coffees and taking their food order. I walked in at 9:01 and the waitress that had been so rude to me turned to her counterparts and loudly asked what time it was, looking back at me like I was early. I told them no rush, I only wanted takeaway. I was handed a menu and went up to place my order when the man taking my order quickly told me he won't serve eggs takeaway. I asked why and he refused to explain. I asked if I could have the waffles without eggs and he said "again, I told you, no eggs takeaway". He British, so language barrier wasn't to blame. I asked what my options were and he said nothing. So after 20 minutes of patiently waiting through terribly rude behavior, being nice and accommodating back, I left empty handed and treated like trash.
