Great location and close to the train station. You can order at the window for takeaway or have a sit down inside. There is additional seating upstairs. Inside the seating is comfortable, staff is friendly and the restroom is free for customers and clean. They are open early (one of the few waffle places that are open early. The menu has a lot to offer but the only thing I ever order are the waffles. Hot, delicious and something you will think about long after you have returned back from your holiday. For sit down service you will not have to wait long for your food to arrive. If you are just wanting a quick waffle I would suggest going to the widow and saving yourself a bit of money. read more

Ate here 3x for breakfast during our 3 days in Brussels so we were obviously impressed. Husband got the omelet with cheese and ham every day and I got a leige waffle- twice with spekulous and once with warm chocolate and fruit. Magnifique! I wanted something to eat and encountered this place. I was glad I did. My significant other and I walked inside and were instantly helped. We were able to choose a table to sit at. The menu was on the table already, so that was convenient. From the Tea-Room section, I ordered from the Gaufres Et Crêpes "Maison" and went with the 58. Gaufre de Bruxelles - 6.60€. It was légère, croustillante, au sucre impalpable. From the Boissons section, I ordered from the Boissons Chaudes and went with the 86. Café for 3.90€. The Gaufre seemed light, which I enjoyed. We had a lot of waffles in Belgium and these were very average. The service was ok. The British breakfast was very good and filling. The turkey sandwich was ok. This place is located on the corner of a busy street and they probably get lots of business out of convenience. I would try the less traveled roads for better food. read more

This place is pretty big with an upstairs. We were directed to find a table upstairs since downstairs had a bunch of tables sat already. The menu is very large with many options. You can get a traditional breakfast with eggs and meet or pancakes or waffles. We opted to get Belgium waffles (duh!) and they had several options for toppings. It was pretty good. When looking for authentic Belgian waffles in a seated environment, we loved this restaurant. The service was excellent, helpful, courteous and fast the three times we went there for waffles. The waffles were light and crispy...most excellent with any of a wide variety of toppings offered. My favorite was with strawberries and Nutella. The restaurant is ideally located on a corner of three streets, mostly taken by pedestrians. Every time we ate there, we were in and out in 30-45 minutes...could have stayed longer but 'things to do' and 'places to see'. I'd highly recommend this sole proprietor restaurant to anyone looking for a really good waffle without having to carry it away as many do. They also have this as an option. Used Yelp to try these Belgium waffles.. didn't realize after walking around it was just across from hotel. Service was friendly.. Had Belgium waffle with Nutella, bananas, whip cream, chocolate and ice cream and the Liege waffle with ice cream and chocolate.. both were good though waffles were not warm, but realize u paying for each topping so about paid $38.. can get Crêpes in Paris with same fillings for $10 and funnel cakes in US for $20... Gaufre de Bruxelles is in close proximity to Grand-Place de Bruxelles. And you can walk to this cafe/restaurant from the main square. They are open until late night. They are usually busy and the first time I visited there was a little bit of a wait. The second time it seemed like we avoided the wait and we got helped right away. They serve many delicious options of waffle creations, gelato ice cream, coffee, fries and more. We tried the waffles and ice cream here. The ice cream was delicious with many flavors. We picked 3 scopes of different flavors. All of them were decadent. The waffles were good, I ordered mine with Nutella and strawberries. When in Brussels, eat waffles any time of day. The food was great, but our waiter was horrible! He became angry with me because I accidentally tore my teabag while opening the package. He then demanded that I leave a tip. It was the middle eastern guy with the 3 stooges haircut. He needs training on how to be a good waiter. read more

My husband and I tried the other places around this restaurant and we kept coming back to this one for a reason. One, all the staff are super nice, friendly and helpful. Two, the food is good - we tried sandwiches, the burger, the coffee, the juices, and of course the fries. Get andalouse sauce! I love and appreciate that the menu is in a variety of languages. Yes, it's worth having the waffle. We had the one with strawberries, vanilla ice cream and whip cream. The waffle is light and fluffy, and freshly made. Quite pricey at €11 per order. Since we are on holiday and in Belgium, and probably would not come back this way, it was acceptable to pay that much. read more

This was not only the first place we sat down to eat at upon arriving in Brussels, but we had already bookmarked it long before our trip. Although we intended to try the famous gaufre right away, we stuck to a simple yet amazingly delish sandwich at first - and there were no regrets! The ham&cheese and the crab salad goodies were brilliant, not too much but still very fulfilling. Then after a few days in town, we just couldn't not try the gaufres as well - and that sure was the best decision of the day. :) not pricey and fresh, definitely worth the bookmark. If I could give zero star I would! The waiter was slow and we had to ask for drinks, silverware and few times for mayo since we had French fries from the freezer! Lest not even start on the Belgium waffle!!! Has and tasteless! The whole cream was simply nasty. NEVER AGAIN! Such a disappointment on the center of Brussels. read more

I tried the belgium waffles with gaufre and liege. Very very different. The one that's liege is the classic belgium waffle, round and soft. Where the gaufre is rectangular and crunchy. I almost want to say this place is a tourist trap but hey, the food wasn't bad. I would say, the ones from the waffle trucks taste best and are the cheapest. Cute atmosphere though. read more

My chief memory of that morning was that their waffle honestly made me feel better about the first half of the day.
