I had my 8 year old son with me and E.J. went out of his way to talk to and share some of his projects with him. The shop is well stocked and E.J. seemed quite knowledgeable. They have plenty of seating to fit all of us, and they offer alot of high top tables as well for people playing Warhammer. Its always busy in here, they have pretty good pricing on snacks and drinks, and they always have the latest drops usually for new sets as well. The guys that work here are also super chill, we come in enough that they know us somewhat. Always super nice, and help out with anything we might need. If we are there super late, sometimes they lock us in on the table side of the store and just have us use the back door when we leave so it doesn't interrupt our game we are wrapping up. 10/10 one of our favorite card shops in KCMO to come and play at.

I owned 3 card shops in the late 80's, and my son has recently gotten into collecting, so it was our first trip together, which explains why we were excited. First thing we see in the door is boxes. Opened boxes which looked like trash. As we walked in, junk to the left and random case things on the right. The rest of the shop was nothing but a mess, with random stuff throughout; no rhyme or reason for anything. I brought in $2k cash, my son $400. He had a new set in mind, which he saw on the shelf, and was waiting to purchase, and I was looking for old cards; Kaline, Mays, Clemente, etc. A younger kid offered to help, but quickly vanished. I looked through the glass cases for 35 minutes with no luck, because there wasn't much displayed, and it was hard to see with all the junk on the counter. Nothing is in any order, whether it be the cased individual cards, the unopened boxes, or the memorabilia. And believe it or not, after 35 minutes, not one person asked if there was anything they could show us. The owner, who was present, but paying all his attention to someone else, never even acknowledged our presence. Of course we walked out laughing about the fact that we never spent a dime, and I apologized to my son for the waste of time and suggested to him that we open up a card shop that had a little pride. I told him that this was not a typical card shop, and that the owner should be embarrassed. We got some lunch, then went back to the house to order our cards on line. This is great for family's that may have someone who wants to be at the mall but not wait by the dressing room while you shop. They have around 30 arcade cabinets, two pinball machines, two skee-ball lanes, retro consoles like the Sega Genesis, NES, and PlayStation, plus modern consoles like the Nintendo Switch and more. If you have little ones, there are a couple of small playrooms with toys for toddlers. They also have board games and a party room for birthdays and other events. Admission was only $10 for me and $5 for my son, and it's unlimited play all day. You can come and go as you please . . . grab food at the food court or a nearby restaurant, then come back and keep playing. It's so rare to find an affordable arcade that's truly family-friendly. I love Up-Down, but since it's 21+, I can't take my kids there. This place is an amazing hidden gem in the Kansas City area. They've also added a $4 non-player admission, which is perfect if you just want to bring the kids and relax with a book while they play.
