I have had Natalie with Pedal Fit PT fit my bikes - both road and mountain. I have suffered from neck pain and migraines for a decade. I loved riding my bikes, but found that I wasn't riding as much I would like because quite often, after a ride, I would be sore - or worse -- get a migraine after my ride. After meeting with Natalie, and getting my bikes fit properly, my neck pain and migraines drastically reduced after rides. What I appreciated so much about her was her education -- she is a Doctor of Physical Therapy as well as a Certified Bike Fitter (and, she's a rider as well). I would like to share my experience and more importantly the results of my bike fit with Natalie. I realize this is a bit lengthy. I found out about Natalie through fellow bike racers after listening to their podcast with her on bike fitting. I liked her approach and decided to give her a try. As a 60+ Master Bike racer that has had several fits over the years with very well-known fitters with the latest up to date modern fitting equipment, I was thinking that there would most likely not be any major changes or big ah ha's. Besides training on the bike I also spend time doing functional strength work and cycling focused weight work throughout the year. To set the stage for the results of my bike fit with Natalie I want to first paint a picture of where I was and where we ended up. As of last October I had training rides that I was yoyoing between riding my best ever in the last 4 years and rides that were so-so neutral. Even so my pedal stroke never really felt really fluid on my left side compared to my right side. I was hoping to see if Natalie would find some minor adjustment(s) that would identify and address things that were a bit off. I signed up for a medical bike fit in the beginning of March the following year. As life would have it, I was hit with a series of unfortunate events, from an infected dog bite, to major cold/flu (not COVID), to blood clots in my leg that pretty much halted training for about 6 weeks prior to my bike fit. Needles to day as a late 60+ racer this caused a big loss in my fitness. Working with Natalie was great. I really liked her pre-appointment questionnaires that she sent out that set the ground work for my history, goals, issues and what I was hoping to get out of the fit. This saves a lot of time and allowed us to get right to the point when I arrived. We immediately did the PT medical eval and within a very short period of time she identified one of my limiters. My left glute was weak, my left hip was very tight and basically had very limited mobility. Basically I wasn't riding with 2 good legs. She showed me what exercises I needed to do to free up my hip and strengthen my glute. Once on the bike the hip issue and leg length differences lined up with issues that I've always struggled with over the last 15 years. Note, none of the other previous bike fits that I've had in the past ever addressed this. The way I was set up on the bike would cause a spiral effect of my hip getting worse the longer I rode. When I was younger I forced myself to deal with this better, now at 60+, I can't. Being a bike geek, I brought all kinds of parts to try if we needed to. I even brought a shorter crank that borrowed from my TT bike just in case. Natalie immediately said I should only be using the shorter cranks so we mounted it on and continued. Bottom line from the fit: I now feel I have a very fluid, smooth and efficient pedal stroke on both sides. Now the results part. One of my benchmark training rides is the timed portion of Alpe Du Zwift. A 12K hill climb with an average grade of 8.5%. This is done on a Wahoo Kickr with a Wahoo climb and Stages power meters on my bikes. This is a very controlled benchmark indoor set up. My previous PR was last Fall in October. I rode the benchmark 6 days after my bike fit (I was still dealing with lingering blood clot issues in my leg) with Natalie and I beat my PR by 3%. I was not trying to set a new PR, I just wanted to get use to the new bike fit. The fit allowed me to ride it much smoother than ever before, I never felt like I was struggling and finished pretty fresh. I was impressed at how I felt, especially my left hip. 3% was nice, not earth shattering but still better than my best as of last Fall. Now the interesting part. After spending some time getting use to the fit I rode my benchmark ride again a week later. I set a new PR beating my previous week by over 6%. Now that's significant. I even was able to increase my power in the last portion (last 4 corners to the finish). In the past my power would be getting lower as my hip tightened up. I waited another 3 weeks to gain a little of my lost fitness back and tested again. I set another PR and beat the previous one by 6.5%. I am now riding my benchmark about 15% faster than my best time prior to my fit. So I'm somewhere 10 to 15% faster depending what you assume for power meter and weight differences. I also noticed the improvement in my training rides on the road, in fast group rides, hill climbs and races. My pedal stroke is much more efficient, my left leg is now my dominant leg and I feel much more planted on my saddle, Was the fit worth it. ABSOLUTLEY ! Thanks Natalie! read more

I've never written a one star review, but I feel like I need to let people know about my experience here. This is long, so feel free to skip to the last paragraph if you want information on the end result. I waited to write the review to make sure I could compose my thoughts and fully process everything. I was referred to Natalie by some people I trust and went into this with the confidence and trust that this was going to be a great experience. She was quick to respond via email and I set up a fit for two bikes (5 hours total), thinking I'd save some money by scheduling the packaged deal vs. 2 individual fits. I thought it was a great that she is also a physical therapist - See my last paragraph for how that ended up being a negative thing. Within the first hour she had already spoken poorly about a local business and team sponsor of mine, calling them a "quick fix". We spent a little over an hour reviewing any pain/concerns I had and then went over some PT exercises. We began the fit on my road bike and she made suggestions for me to get new road shoes (I agreed they were needed), a new saddle, handlebars and stem. At first I thought I'd just wait until the follow up to decide on the handlebars, but I felt a bit pressured to get them right then. She was very set that I would still have back pain if I didn't buy all of the suggested items. Note: Her follow up policy on bike fits is concerning. you get one follow up for future adjustments and then you start paying for each additional follow up. We proceeded to test out some saddles and redo some adjustments with the new handlebars. The options for saddles she had were quite low (only 3 for my measurements). I had some older cork bar tape on the bars and when she went to rewrap it on the new bars it broke. I needed new tape, but I left with her telling me that the bike shop or myself would rewrap the new tape wrong because she had a special way of doing it. She did not offer to rewrap it for me and I was left without handlebar tape and my Garmin was still left on my old handlebars, so it was several days before I could even ride my bike after the fit. At this point I'm getting tired from the length of the appointment, but I'm more concerned that I can tell she is too. Things started to feel more uncomfortable as she had lost enthusiasm for the fit. CX fit -She told me that the cleats (crankbrothers) don't allow for many adjustments and that I needed narrower handlebars. I get the feeling that she's thinking that without modifications that she really can't do much for me on this bike and it felt like a waste of a second fit. We spent just about 1 hour of the 5 hours on the CX bike and started to go over the 5 hour time slot. At the end everything is rushed and she's throwing in some additional PT suggestions and a book I should read. She tells me she has to rush to get lunch now since she has several appointments left for the day and that normally it doesn't take as long for someone who knows what a good saddle feels like to pick one. I left feeling very stressed and discouraged. I also had invested $656 at this point for the fits, saddle, and handlebars from her. Everything felt worse the first ride I went on with my road bike (I still hadn't tested my CX bike at this point). This was before I had gotten new shoes and I left the ride with pain in my hands from the position of the hoods (much worse than before), saddle pain and back pain. I had some chafing on the inside of my lower thigh under my bike shorts. After getting new shoes as she had suggested and riding a bit more I emailed her to set up a follow up. She let me know that because of the new shoes, the need to change the saddle and to adjust the brake hoods that we would basically have to redo the entire fit. At first she tells me she has an opening that Friday and later tells me it's not enough time and that I'd have to schedule for at least 2 weeks out because of how full her schedule was. I was told I'd need an additional 90 min of time on top of the almost 6 hours I'd already invested. I originally thought having a PT as a bike fitter would be a great thing, but compliance with the PT exercises she gave me ended up being her fallback reason for why the fit wasn't dialed in correctly. I quickly felt like my hands were tied. Her policies made this bike fit feel like a scam. I even spoke with several other cyclist friends who have gotten fits and before I even said it they told me it sounded like I was being scammed. She ended up offering to refund me $240 of the bike fit and I returned the saddle, but was left to get help from a bike shop with putting my old saddle back on the bike. So overall I ended up paying $290 and all I left with was new handlebars. Now I'm back to square one again. I find it concerning that she is so busy with appointments yet has so few Yelp or other reviews. Be weary of this and please do your research! read more

I cannot tell you enough how glad I am that I found Natalie. A proper bike fit is vitally important for a cyclist to get right and to be able to trust the guidance you receive because there are life altering consequences of a poor fit (i.e. question whether or not you can ride a bike anymore). I had been suffering from a back related and knee related issues for about a year before I went to see Natalie. As a lifelong cyclist that thought I knew what a proper fit was, I had to completely put myself into Natalie's hands because I was miserable. It has been a week since my bike fit was tuned/tweaked by Natalie and I had a weekend of 2x2hr rides without knee pain and my back issue is subsiding. Cannot tell you how awesome it was to not have some sort of discomfort after a ride. Forget the new wheels, or frame, or whatever... Natalie is nothing short of a bike fit wizard! She did my pre-fit and took measurements when I was ordering a new gravel/adventure bike (at the recommendation of the manufacturer), and a full fit once they had built the bike. In many years of riding I've never been nearly as comfortable (no more neck or back pain, even after 90+ mile rides) as I am on that bike. I've since returned to get my existing mountain bike fit and I'm now far more comfortable (on a bike that had been "fit" to me by several shops in previous years) and turning in improved times on my regular training routes and in races that I've done before. Beyond the fittings themselves Natalie helped me to understand some of the mechanics involved in both my riding and every day life, and was able to recommend specific stretches that have been a huge help. I've waited awhile to provide my review of Natalie and her services through Pedal Fit, but really wanted to spend some significant time on my bike before providing a review. That being said, I'm thrilled with the results. When I went to Pedal Fit I was having trouble with numbness in my hands and some slight neck pain. Since my bike fit with Natalie, I no longer have any numbness, and I have no soreness in my neck. Additionally, it might all be in my head, but I feel stronger since I'm not fighting any issues. Natalie is awesome to work with. I started seeing her due to some neck pain and found out that she also does bike fittings. I've never felt more comfortable on my bike after working with her. The combination of being a PT and a professional bike fitter can't be stated enough on how important it is to get the best fit on a bike. I have been working with Natalie and her fit/PT studio for the better part of 3 years and speak very highly of her capabilities to asses fits and physical issues you may be experiencing. I've been RACING mountain and road for a long time, across the country and in other parts of the world and have found none better to be very frank. I moved back home to Colorado and needed some adjustments made to both my mtb and roadie. Via a friends brother, he recommended I reach out to Natalie, this was in 2016. Natalie assessed me, as any doctor would on an initial visit, stretch capabilities along with some other movement assessments. After I was assessed, Natalie provided recommendations for adjustments on the bikes. It's certainly not a one time fix all as the body is dynamic, but what I will tell you, after my initial assessment and adjustment, I've never been more comfortable and was essentially given an extra 15W of endurance power just off the fit. Again, fitting a bike is very dynamic, it's all based on you as your body changes. She's very diligent to asses your issues and provide recommendations that work! Fast forward from my initial visit into 2019. While trail running, I started to notice issues with my knee hurting after runs in the winter, figured new shoes would help, they didn't. Went into the PT studio where I was assessed and it was discovered, the pain was stemming from a bulged disc in my back (kept me from going to get a costly MRI; Stick with me here. So how does this effect the bike and fit, let me tell you. After I was assessed, I worked with Natalie, as she gave me a strict stretching and exercise protocol to follow if I wanted to recover and get back on the bike, let alone run. "The road to recovery is based on your willingness to listen and follow directions" from Dr, which for me, meant no biking or running for some time. With Natalie working with me on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, she guided me down the road to recovery then once I had been deemed recovered, we brought the bikes back in and re-assessed the fit. Why Steve? Well the body is ever changing and with my injury, there were compensations happing which needed to be re-addressed on the bike. Natalie re-adjusted, from the past adjustments and I've been pain free, more comfortable and faster (based on position and my body working more in unison on the bike). I will tell you, there is no one-time-fits-all but I'll tell you when you notice changes on how you feel on the bike, she is one of the best out there to get you where you need to be. read more

The physical therapist I'd been seeing for help with my bad knees recommended that I visit Natalie when I told them that I was having knee pain with biking and they said I shouldn't. She did a very thorough physical therapy assessment that looked at my overall function and ability before I even got on the bike! I was very happy to be working with a physical therapist who was knowledgeable about the knee problems I was dealing with. Natalie is obsessed with getting people comfortable and happy on their bikes. I originally contacted Natalie at PedalFit PT for a bike fit for a new bike. I purchased a gravel bike from a local Denver bike builder, and they spoke highly. I had also been dealing with some upper back pain on the bike for several years; I just figured I would have to live with it. Natalie nailed my bike fit straight away. Of the handful of bikes I have and ride, my gravel bike has the best fit without question. We addressed my back pain, and I was impressed with how thorough she was. We wasted no time identifying and addressing the issue. She gave me a handful of routine things to do and said if I was committed to doing them, I would improve. She was correct. Natalie at Pedal Fit is fantastic! I was specifically looking for both a thorough bike fit, as well as physical therapy to help correct neck and back pain I have experienced while riding. Pedal Fit provided both of those needs. Natalie is extremely thorough, from her initial assessment to the actual bike fit process. She calls herself a perfectionist, and this is true! Natalie takes as much time as necessary to get everything *just right*. I also appreciated that she gave me only a few PT exercises to help correct my neck/back pain - sometimes PT can get overwhelming and difficult to be consistent with simply from the number of exercises they want you to complete.
