When my appt was rescheduled, the front desk receptionist thereafter pushed my appt back two times to another date because the dentist was sick. This was a personal inconvenience, which I let slide. Once is okay, but getting rescheduled twice when I am a mom who works full time and is in school is just inconvenient, but you didn't see me being rude to them. Come the day of my appt, I missed it by 15 min, and the dentist picked up the phone and said "since you missed your appt 3 times, I will no longer be seeing you here." Hold up. Lol. Hold up. First of all, I never missed my appt 3 times. I rescheduled the first one 48 hours in advance, and the appt I was supposed to have, YOU PUSHED IT BACK AND RESCHEDULED it twice! To your own convenience and pleasure! Not mine. Very rude and lacked customer service skills. I would not recommend this place if you want a dentist who cares about his patients. He straight up lied about me, and told me he "no longer will be seeing me" because I was late to an appt. I understand there's rules in certain offices, but do not lie about me and do not show disrespect.

During my previous visits, the assistant who took care of me was not very kind and made me feel self-conscious about my dental issues. It almost felt as if she was looking down on me, which made the experience uncomfortable. However, that all changed during my last appointment. Instead of my usual assistant, I was greeted by a different dental assistant, Mrs. Rose. From the moment she walked in, she radiated warmth, kindness, and genuine care. She was the sweetest person and made me feel comfortable, even though I had come in feeling down about my dental problems. She took the time to explain everything to me and offered reassurance that truly made a difference in my experience. I am so grateful for her kindness and the positive impact she had on my visit. I hope that she is my assistant in the future as she left me feeling really good about myself. Thank you Mrs. Rose!!!

I just saw the bill, they billed an emergency exam (this is done if you go in with a tooth ache) and did a scaling and root planing, wich is a type of perio surgery/procedure. It should have been a new patient exam. Possible a debriment since it had been 5 years and see how the patient responds. I was in the dental managment industry for over 25 years, and this kind of crap is why I left. Not to mention there was no fee/copay disclosure before starting treatment. I will be putting in a formal complaint with Delta Dental. I did call and was told they did everything correct.

I went in to see Dr. Bryk because I was convinced I needed a bite guard to stop my nighttime clenching. He actually refused to give me one. He could have seen me and thought CHA-CHING and given me one anyway. Instead he was explained why I was wrong and said no. He referred me to the right type of specialist I've been looking for for a long time. Mostly I want to rave about Melissa, my hygienist. She was militant about getting every bit of plaque off my teeth. She did not do a fluff and buff and smile-for-the-mirror trick. I've had that and wondered why my appointment was so fast. Unfortunately for Melissa, I had bad plaque from a year and a half of my jaw being locked shut and my fear of humiliating hygienists. I told her up front to please not educate me, a middle aged woman, about the values of flossing. Flossing gives me headaches and I'm a chronic migraine sufferer. I can't say I'm the best flosser! She was completely respectful. She quickly learned I still have a sense of humor about it all and we had a couple good laughs. She seemed to ENJOY getting every last bit. The most important thing is she never once humiliated me. My teeth haven't been this clean in years. I'm loving to smile in the mirror now. I can't quit rubbing my tongue on the slinky insides of my teeth. I feel so clean!!! i've been longing for years to find a good hygienist attached to a good dentist who won't gouge me. I drove from Royal Oak to this place to have this good experience. I thank Kenika who works there for referring me. She knew I'm easily offended and would be nervous so she offered me the laughing gas stuff. Turns out there's no extra charge for it. I passed. Melissa was funny enough! So am I! If such an embarrassing and humiliating thing as getting plaque off could be fun too...who knew! I'm just grateful. It's been so long since I've felt as though I was respected as a client. His associate was sizing the crown, and it became stuck. She could not remove it and said it would be OK. It was not polished and feels rough. She said it was ok to stay in without being glued. I have two friends that are retired dentists, and they agreed the crown will fail without the seal of the glue. So, I have a crowned that is not polished smooth and is not glued in. Destined to fail. I left an internal review but did not receive a reply. I was hoping it would be corrected. Very disappointed.

Had a lot of dental work done here including fillings and then a few months goes by and i have a…read morevery bad jaw pain that lasted about 2 months in total and after numerous visits they didnt do anything to help and i even asked if it was infected and they didnt give me a clear answer and finally i went back and told them i needed xrays because i thought it was infected so finally they gave me a xray and sure enough it was infected so then i finally got antibiotics and i was on them for a week and after the week i got the first treatment of my root canal done i had to sit through about 2-3 hours of drilling and filing in my tooth and mind you i could still feel the pain even after i got numbed multiple times. Anyways after that appointment they gave me a temporary filling and said to come back in a week to finish it and fast forward the end of the week my jaw was swollen like a golf ball was in my jaw so i went to the er and they gave me even stronger antibiotics for 10 days which was augmentin and then after like 7 days the swelling went down and i went in for the rest of the root canal and i had to sit through another 3-4 hours still feeling when she filed in my teeth and it took them about 30 xrays to finally be able to see the tooth anatomy right with the gutta percha they put in and then after i finish that appointment dr tareen tells me "since your tooth had very different anatomy i couldve missed a small canal and you might have to go back to an endodontist if this fails in a year" she should have told me about the option of an endodontist right away if she knew my tooth had confusing anatomy. Anyways i go home and wake up the next day my jaw is swollen even bigger i message the doctor and they said go to the er it could be life threatening so then i go to the er i get an IV and then i passed out and had to get put on oxygen then i had to get blood cultures to see if i was going septic. And then the hospital tells me i have to stay overnight on iv antibiotics because in the morning i had to get my tooth extracted and i had to get my jaw cut open and drained by an oral surgeon. I am well recovered now but I definitely do not recommend this place my girlfriends aunt used to work here aswell and said it was super unprofessional. If they had did their due diligence and checked me properly instead of rushing my appointment just to bill my insurance for the money i think this could have been avoided. I would give 0 stars if i could because all the fillings they gave me are still sensitive to hot and cold and i live everyday in pain not to mention the fillings have cracked and chipped multiple times
