Fortunately my daughter is healthy and we don't need to visit her often. Typically we see Dr. McGregor once a year for her annual check up and whenever my daughter needs to have her school forms singed. Last year when my daughter brought a form from school to clear her for athletic activities, Dr. McGregor sent her for a cardiac consultation and to proceed very expensive cardio tests just to confirm that everything looks normal and there is no restrictions on my daughter to participate in sports activities. Reasoning behind - my daughter had a Kawasaki's disease over 10 years ago - no side effects after hospitalization and treatment. This year, we ran into the same situation ... Dr. McGregor decided to send us to a cardiologist to have my daughter undergo an exercise stress test before she gives her clearance to play sports. To me it appears that Dr. McGregor is looking for business and I don't appreciate this.

As if missed appointments during a pandemic and no concerns since shows a "pattern." I asked for a copy of the late arrival policy, waited 15 minutes, and was given a print out of the website info stating arrival after 10 minutes will need to be rescheduled. I was accepting of this and rescheduled. When I asked for her name the office manager stated HER NAME WAS HEIDI O AND O WAS HER FULL LAST NAME. Extremely unprofessional. And a flat out dumb lie. I don't know if she was fearful of identifying herself or what but I do know that it's piss poor for someone dealing with sensitive medical information to be unwilling to identify themselves to a patient or parent within a practice when asked.

Dr. Castanho, does not offer the type of care that a traditional physician offers. He is not…read more licesenced medical doctor. He is a homeopath. As such he does not accept health insurance and his office visits can be rather expensive when one has to pay out of pocket for the entire visit. He does spend a good amount of time listening to his clients, as compared to traditional medical doctors. Since he cannot prescribe medication, he will sell you his own private label vitamins and supplements as well as a "healthy" diet. Because he cannot prescribe FDA approved medicines, my results are mixed using supplements and diet. Overall I feel better, but the specific issue I went to him for remains unresolved. I have reccomend others to him.

Typically, doctors treat the symptoms of the problem but Dr. Castanho looks for the root cause of the health concern(s). I'm excited to continue working with a doctor as phenomenal as him!
