I did some research and "picked" Dr. Gigi Youngblood as her pediatrician. And boy did we hit that one out of the park - she is amazing!! She listens to the concerns of first time parents, is extremely thorough, and takes time to talk to you and work through any issues you may be having! Her medical assistant (Ms.Ashley) is just as sweet as can be as well! We have seen other doctors in the practice and they have been wonderful as well. So you may be wondering, why only 4 stars Meena? The call wait times!!! I can be on hold for 20+ minutes trying to make an appointment!!! Who has time for that?!? So I try calling right when they open up or right after they open for lunch for the shortest wait time.

They ask questions, and make sure you have all your questions answered. We even had to use their after-hours service one time, and the on-call person was very nice and professional to us worried, first-time parents. We especially like our doctor, Dr. Youngblood. It is in a very convenient location near the middle of Trussville. They have a good process for making sure clients are seen quickly, though there is always a chance they could be behind - as every doctors office can from time to time. There could be a little more parking, and maybe some more signage to make sure you don't miss the one entrance, but that is a very minor quibble.
