Anywho, I want to give the office(doctors, nurses, and front desk) a 5 star rating, but I can only give 4 because today I met the rudest person in that establishment(the office manager Tara Kimbrough). I got there for my kid's appt, where I was told I had a balance by the lady at the front desk. Which was fine because I was planning on paying it anyways, I just couldn't at the moment. Tara was summoned out of her cave to "reiterate" several times what the front desk already discussed. The balance would be paid in full tomorrow. She then continued saying the same thing to me as if I didn't hear her to first 10 times. Then said to me that healthcare isn't free. Not sure if Tara speaking to a black woman meant that in a racist way, by assuming all black women with babies are on some kinda low to no cost insurance. Whatever she meant it is not cool to try to shake someone down or reschedule them over a copay. I tried explaining that I had not long ago went back to work after being off for 3 months due to maternity leave. It's apparent that you're getting paid from my insurance because I would owe way more than what I do. On the way out I was told to schedule another appt, but was told by Tara that they wouldn't schedule it until my balance is paid in full. I will be paying the balance but no need to schedule me out because after the appts she already has we most likely won't be back. Thank you Tara Kimbrough, you're the worse person in that place.

I did some research and "picked" Dr. Gigi Youngblood as her pediatrician. And boy did we hit that one out of the park - she is amazing!! She listens to the concerns of first time parents, is extremely thorough, and takes time to talk to you and work through any issues you may be having! Her medical assistant (Ms.Ashley) is just as sweet as can be as well! We have seen other doctors in the practice and they have been wonderful as well. So you may be wondering, why only 4 stars Meena? The call wait times!!! I can be on hold for 20+ minutes trying to make an appointment!!! Who has time for that?!? So I try calling right when they open up or right after they open for lunch for the shortest wait time.

They have a good process for making sure clients are seen quickly, though there is always a chance they could be behind - as every doctors office can from time to time. There could be a little more parking, and maybe some more signage to make sure you don't miss the one entrance, but that is a very minor quibble.

Dr. Roller and his staff were, in my opinion, either completely incompetent or just didn't care…read moreabout my 100 year old dad. Yes, he was 100 but he still deserved to pass peacefully. Dr. Roller never came to see my dad in his last days but sent someone else. My father had been complaining of back pain for months and was peeing every 20 minutes....on Thursday when my dad finally couldn't get out of bed Dr. Roller's staff came and said my dad was dehydrated (DUH). They prescribed intravenous liquids for 2 days and said my 95 year old mother could handle removing the needle. My dad weighed about 115 pounds at this point and there were no veins. The needle came out after a few hours. My parents were up all night for night after night. Hospice was finally called in...too late in my opinion but Dr. Roller was in charge. On Sunday, this is now 3 days after the Thursday visit, the nurse says at noon, I think we need to call Hospice. I read on your dad's chart that he has renal failure. NO ONE had told us this before. All 3 hospice nurses that came were not what my other friends have experienced with hospice. One of them wanted to be sure we gave her M&Ms, another one talked about herself so much my sister finally had to ask her if she wanted to see the patient, my dad. Another was 5 minutes up the street at a High School football game and wouldn't come to the house until the game was over...REALLY!! This was the most uncaring group of people anyone would want around a loved one that was in the last hours of his life. I won't got into gory details but Dr. Roller and his staff should be reprimanded for their care of the elderly. My dad deserved to die peacefully and comfortably and Dr. Roller took that away from him, my mother (his wife of 74 years) and his children (and there are 7 of us). Shame on him. I beg you, please do not let this man near your elderly parents....you will be sorry.

Dr. Galloway & Linda Wilkerson, was the GI team for the care of Jacobi Finch Children's Hospital of…read moreAlabama. We had an appointment, they said his LIVER was not looking good they wanted Jacobi to come to the Hospital , stay one night to get a change in his TPN, milk, he would need to stay overnight to see if he would have a reaction. We went we stayed overnight . They never said his KIDNEYS were bad. We stayed overnight , the nurses on 9th floor read his charts which were wrong for some reason, gave him double the amount of medication 3 different times, we went home ,I didn't know til he was sleeping for hours. I went back to the ER the same night, the ER sent us home, every should be good. I talked to Linda for the whole week. That Saturday I took Jacobi back to Children's, and he was dying. He was put on Dialysis, never had Kidney issues, he was in so so much pain at the hospital for 2 months, they sent him home with a blood clot the size of a grape fruit and didn't tell me, I found that out when he went to UAB. He stayed there in ICU a month on a ventilator. Then from there he went to Palliative Care, to pass in peace. I begged them to let me bring Cobi home, we did he died in my arms on Nov- 3rd 2019. My son was happy , fine when we went for the over night stay and died in my arms months later. They never told me that he was dying, they never told me he had bad kidneys, He's been in their care for over 10 years, why not tell me he's dying, why not tell me his Kidneys are bad?why did he needed stay? What was the effect of the new TPN, what was the effect to the drug overdose? What was the effect of the 300 mg of new meds y'all gave him? What was the affect of the dye y'all put in his body the morning of his stay for a scan?How do a child go to an appointment, not sick in the last year? Been thru so many surgeries and came out Blessed, die after he's Overdosed, on his own meds? Oh why was this amount even in his chart? Why didn't the pharmacy and nurse see it's was a very high dose? The end result is my son is Gone and they say he was going to die anyway??? We all are going to die, but you didn't have to rush it he was a child, he is my child, my son and he's gone. They know when Jacobi came to the First appointment he was fine, the next appointment he was fine the 3rd ER VISIT HE WAS PUT IN ICU, and all they say is he's health was deteriorating, could you share that with his Mother, months ago?No they did not. They are smiling in your child's face acting like they care but they are just numbers to these Dr,'s. I live with, I never should have took him, but as a Mother, I had to do what was supposed to be best but what I thought would help him, took my Child from me, and my life will never be the same. I was supposed to protect him from the Dr.'s that was supposed to help him. I live with that, but not my Son. Children's Hospital, Birmingham Al. Dr. David Galloway and Linda Wilkerson and the whole GI team. 10th floor remember his smile.
