There is no way I can even begin to express my true adoration and gratitude for sweet Holly without…read moregetting completely sappy and sentimental!! Holly is a true gem, not just as a photographer but as the most genuinely sweet and gentle soul you will ever be blessed to meet and I am so fortunate to have not just have had her capture a million memories for me but to know her as well!! I found Holly while I was about 7 and a half months or so pregnant when a dear friend of mine posted the most incredibly stunning photos of her newborn and it was that moment that I fell in love with Holly's work and knew I had to have her do my little's newborn gallery!! It did not matter that I lived in Northern California at the time and she was in Southern California, she was the only person I knew I could trust to photograph my sweet boy just by chatting with her via email!! First off, I emailed her at nearly midnight and had a response within a half hour, who does that?? She does, she is always on top of it!! I knew roughly when I was going to have my son being I had a high risk pregnancy and was being induced so it was easy enough to schedule roundabout when my little would be here and I could be in SoCal....what I did not know was that I was going to have complications, an emergency c-section, and that my tiny human would be in the NICU for the next 4 days, eeeeek!! Holly was so ahhhhhmazing and accommodating to make sure that no matter what day it was we could come she would make sure to work around our schedule!! She is truly in this business for her genuine love and compassion for babies, children, people in general!! I can without a doubt tell you that the drive down to Southern California from Northern California for my tiny human's newborn photo shoot was well worth the drive!! The moments she captured, the time she spent (over 6 hours to get everything just right and to all me to nurse), the patience she exuded, the love she showed me and my little, her true talent, and so much more was indescribable!! I was literally in tears watching her work and the time she took to make sure everything was just right and her gentle and soothing nature as she worked to capture the most incredible photos of my tiny human in his first week of life, the moments are forever etched into my mind and my heart!! I had Holly photograph my tiny human's first year, doing 6 and 7 month photos (and I say 6 and 7 month photos because she is so incredibly patient and tends towards perfection that when my little was not having the photo shoot any longer she set up a second photo session so we could shoot outdoors as well in order to capture everything she and I both wanted) again, who does that?? She does!! And for my tiny human's 1st Birthday/Cake Smash session, I cannot even!! I knew it was going to be ahhhhhmazing but Holly truly outdid herself and surprised me with the most incredible prop sets and I was truly blown away and thrilled beyond belief with what she planned and envisioned specifically for my little!! She knows exactly how to capture the true spirit, character, personality of my little and I am so grateful for the memories she has created for me and my son!! There is nothing generic or redundant about her work, she genuinely sets out to create stunning visuals suited specifically to each child and parent!! I can literally gush on and on, clearly!! But the honest to goodness gist is that Holly is true gift not just to the photography world but the world in general!! You cannot go wrong with having Holly photograph any life event, you will find yourself gushing just like me too!!

I had no idea what I was missing out on until I came to her in-home studio for my LO's (at 6 days old) photos. It was incredible. I wish this dreamy, artistic newborn photography was around when my oldest was born! Holly and her partner Sue are just two of the kindest, gentlest women I've met. While they were working with my baby girl they just took their time, never even getting frustrated after she got yucky newborn poo all over them! They were so dang nice about it! They are both naturals and really have a gift for photography. They really take their time to get each position/setting just right and the outcome is amazing. I wanted to cry when I saw the pictures. My baby was red (yes red!) when she was born and Holly was able to make her look beautiful and angelic. Just a couple of things to know...One, be prepared to be giddy during the shoot. Seriously, it's so fun and an experience you'll never forget! Her studio is so cute and the amount of props she has and uses is awesome. It is completely stress free as Holly handles everything! You're honestly just there to feed the baby when needed. And two, dress lightly! The room needs to be warm so the baby is comfortable but that makes mamma hot! Holly and Sue are freaking rock stars for what they do! If you want okay photos find someone else. If you want amazing photos you'll die over, go to Holly. It will be worth every single darn penny.

I have…read moreactually known her for 6+ years and randomly found here when I needed a photographer for a work shoot. I am so thankful that I met her and got to work with her for many years. Hiring her for my wedding was a no brainer. Her personality is a breath of fresh air if you run a little more anxious like I do. She knows how to capture the best photos even if you don't feel 100% confident in front of the camera. She's kind, patient and super funny. Her work is incredible and I couldn't recommend her more!

There are so many things I can say about how wonderful and talented she is (and the photos truly speak for themselves), but I will break down a few of my favorite qualities in the following categories: Communication: Savannah prides herself on being an excellent communicator, and I can see why! She is super responsive to email and answered all of our questions so quickly and thoroughly. We gave Savannah a few pointers about what our vision was for the location of our shoot (expansive views, nature, forest, etc.), and she came through with amazing, well-researched and thoughtful recommendations. We ultimately chose Lake Tahoe based on her suggestion! She also kept us apprised of the timeline for our photoshoot day and what to expect. After our photoshoot, she sent us sneak peaks almost immediately. We were so impressed, and obsessed over our photos for weeks! Photography: Her skills are off the charts. She captures the best, most natural moments and makes you feel incredibly comfortable while doing it (even in freezing cold weather!). If you think you or your partner may be awkward, you have nothing to worry about. She has poses ready to go so you don't have to think too much. You just get to enjoy the day while she captures the magic. She is also very receptive to your own suggestions! If there is a pose you want to try or a specific picture you want to capture, she welcomes it. Personality: Savannah is the sweetest person. We had so much fun hanging out with her leading up to, during, and after our shoot. She is extremely easy to get along with and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and making this the best experience for them. Her work ethic is amazing to see: she puts an enormous amount of time and effort into making your photoshoot come out perfectly, and she does this on top of her super busy schedule. She also goes above and beyond. From the beginning, she answered my millions of questions and even researched dress options for me! We honestly had so much fun during our engagement shoot that we regularly reminisce and want to go back and redo it! :) TL;DR - If you are researching adventure photographers and you don't know what to do, book Savannah ASAP! We literally could not be happier with our experience and CANNOT WAIT for her to shoot our wedding!

It's May 2024. Finally feeling better about who I see when I look in the mirror and ready to use my…read moreremaining sessions, I emailed Camryn - no response. I texted her the following week - still no reply. The same person who was all "Hey girlfriend" in my texts in 2021 now sent a cold, canned email from her CRM: "Per our agreement, your sessions are good for one year." And she needs to stay "true to her business policies." She offered a 45-minute mini-session in her studio as a consolation for the two remaining three-hour sessions at my location (a $3k value), or she wished me well. It felt patronizing and dismissive, a stark contrast to the supportive figure I believed her to be. Let's go back to February 2021. When I first met Camryn, I was impressed. I liked her energy, and she seemed genuinely dedicated to supporting female entrepreneurs, so I was all about supporting her business. Our Zoom call was promising. Camryn outlined the package: four three-hour sessions for a $6k investment. We discussed my website launch, the shots I would need, my wardrobe, and more. However, there was no mention of session expiration--neither on the call, on her sales page, nor in any of our subsequent emails or texts. Trust me, I went back and checked to be sure I wasn't crazy. Instead, it was tucked away in the fine print of her HoneyBook contract, sent when she collected payment--a detail I missed entirely. Had I known the sessions had to be used every 90 days over the next year, I never would have purchased such a big package. As a busy business owner, new mom, and wife, I can't commit to photoshoots every quarter. Seriously, who can? I had my first session in March 2021 and another in April 2021 with my team. The pictures were great, and the website launched. For the time being, I was set. Later that year, I had a baby, gained weight, and dealt with some major postpartum blues. The last thing I wanted was to look at a camera for a while. Camryn sends marketing emails almost weekly. Yet she never sent a single reminder about the expiring sessions, which would have been a decent thing to do, knowing I had two unused sessions. Not one, "Hey girl, it's getting close to a year. Let's get you scheduled." Nope, nothing. Nada. Instead, she acted like Groupon, waiting for the deal to expire so she could take my money without delivering the service. I understand having policies, but when you offer a service with such a high investment, you should remind your clients of expiring sessions. If you have to bury it in your fine print and never speak of it directly, that's a problem. I'd never treat a client the way Camryn treated me. If she had said, "You know, I'm swamped for the next three months, but if you want to pick a Tuesday in the fall, I can help you," it would have been a different story. Be careful when choosing Camryn. It's not about finding a photographer who will tell you if you have camel toe or food in your teeth. I want to work with a decent human who treats their clients with empathy and respect. Unfortunately, that's not Camryn. If life happens, she will stick to her business fine print and hope you go away.

If you want to re-live your big day over and over again years later, James is your guy! My wife and I had never done a professional photoshoot. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. After interviewing 5 different photographers, we knew from our first conversation that James was the one. He is incredibly friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. We agreed to do an engagement session, 1 location for 90mins to see if we'd be comfortable working with James. It couldn't have gone better. Initially, we were a bit stiff, but James gave us tips on how to act naturally, suggested poses and hand positions that made us feel and look relaxed. The time flew by and we actually ended up going to a second location with a wardrobe change. Overall, it was about 2 hours. James did not mind at all. In fact, he probably could've gone longer if the sun hadn't set on us! Our photos were edited and received in less than 2 weeks! James was kind enough to print a large poster and sign that shipped to our house in just a few days. He price matched any package/prints from other photographers. Having gone through our engagement session seamlessly, we hired James to shoot our wedding as well. He and an assistant were on site for 10 hours, tending to our every need and keeping us on our timeline. After our planned family/wedding party photos, we hardly even noticed them working as we proceeded with wedding events. After the wedding, we received many compliments on how great James was and several guests asked for his contact information. Within a couple of days, we received a preview of about 20 photos highlighting our big day. We were thrilled! Every important moment was captured so elegantly! The full magazine of photos was available for download in about 1 month. James then worked with us to print a high quality photo book for our coffee table. You can't go wrong with James--his high quality work and work ethic speak for themselves. There is no substitute for how easy and stress free he made us feel, so that we could truly enjoy ourselves knowing that he would capture every single moment candidly. Do not hesitate to hire James, it will be the best decision you will ever make.
