They just recently changed their name, under new ownership, but the daycare has been at this same location for over a decade. Maria, their new owner came in roughly a year ago and is constantly updating the facility and adding to curriculum to keep exercising our littles development. I couldn't possibly say enough wonderful things about everyone here. I 100% trust them with our littles.

When I went in to pick up our kids yesterday…read more(12/21/22), I received a booboo report to sign that Ms. Zuly scratched my 3 yo's arm causing him to bleed in classroom Preschool C. He had a bandaid over it so I didn't see the extent of the damage while there. Removing his bandaid for his bath showed my husband and I both a gouged out section that is not just a scratch. It is a clear scar of a full curved thumbnail from her digging so hard and deep into his skin to draw blood and leave behind such a wound. She claims she was hugging him but that would not result in the purposefully caused laceration she has inflicted the inner portion of such a small child's forearm. I have pictures to document the physical harm and the center had camera recordings of the room. They refused to let me see the footage from what she did and what other actions she may have taken against my son. StarChild claimed they didn't have video but calling th actual camera provider proved that all plans included cloud storage. StarChild refused to provide contact information until I spoke with the regional director - Liz Reece. I left a voicemail at 8am. Then called back at 9am. I finally spoke with her at 10:19am. She then drove to the location and said she spoke with the teacher and others who may have been in the room yesterday. Ms. Zuly claimed to have no idea that she caused this injury despite it being such a deep wound to draw blood. Ms. Liz "provided coaching" and when the location director got back from vacation at the end of the next week, more "coaching" occurred. This is absolutely unacceptable. For a teacher to cause injuries to a child and for a company to then pretend that "coaching" of a few minutes was sufficient is ridiculous. The only repercussion for the teacher was that she got a letter in her file stating that she needs to build stronger relationships with parents. DCF got involved and even the worker said an injury, such as the one inflicted on my son, was not possible accidentally. If you send your child to this facility, be aware they don't care about your child or their safety.

By day 3, our daughter came home with two finger nails completely ripped off, and fingers that were very red. It was clear that she smashed her fingers during the day, but the daycare had zero incident reports or any information on what happened. Knowing our daughter, she would have screamed her head off, in pain. On day 5, we started watching the cameras more closely because our daughter refused to enter the classroom anymore. That was out of character. We noticed that she was not eating lunch, yet the teachers marked her eating the "entire lunch" even though they removed the plate full. On day 6 is when we pulled her. During nap time, I witnessed one of the teachers grab her, use force to push her onto a mat, and threw a blanket on top of her. I could see my daughter crying through the video. When I arrived 2 hours later, the rest of the kids were playing, but my daughter was still on the mat, traumatized, and still crying. If you need a quick place to start daycare, and have ZERO options, then I would say to stay away. Your kids are safer anywhere but here. There are other daycares that are cheaper, with much better quality.

We wish all preschools were required to have this feature. The staff and director are so wonderful. The classrooms are very clean. We would recommend this preschool if you want peace of mind to see how your child is doing throughout the day. She isn't just a daycare, she is family. She loves all of her kids attending her daycare like they are family, and that love extends to the families as well. My son used to go to Kiddie Academy, and was sick every weekend. Since he has been enrolled in Carpio daycare, he has NEVER come home sick from her house. The level of cleanliness quality that she upholds is better than any chain daycare. She is the most affordable daycare I know of, and the value she provides to her children is above par! Just wanted to follow up on my initial review of MKA 5 years ago…read more I've had many people reach out to me with similar stories. The center has had high turnover for teachers. The director at the time told me that my then 4/5 year old son was difficult, impossible to deal with, didn't listen, and would do poorly in public school. They refused to give him additional work to do in Pre-K, saying they could only give him the same items that the other children had; he was constantly finishing work before others and was bored. MKA kicked him out 3 weeks before Pre-K graduation, so his academic career did not have a qualifying Pre-K certificate. He was diagnosed with severe ADHD when he began kindergarten. With the right medication, and taking karate daily, my son grew leaps and bounds. His teachers in elementary school were all aghast that he was kicked out of Pre-K since they could see he was just bouncier than other kids. He just began his last year of elementary school, and is a 2nd Dan black belt in karate. He is consistently on honor roll, and is an all around happy guy. Just beware that some centers really do not have the time or patience necessary for kids. If my son was one who didn't have ADHD, then he may have done well at MKW.

In that short month, we had already seen an improvement with the change of ownership. I can't say enough about how much this daycare has improved since the new owners took over. The difference is night and day. Mr. William was very welcoming the moment we reached out about baby No. 2. It was like we had never left. They make you feel like family. I love that they decorate for the holidays. This year baby No. 2 got a little gift for Easter that was age appropriate. It's clear that Mr. William and his team have brought a real passion for early childhood education and a commitment to excellence.

They have much healthier and quality food options, than I have seen everywhere (not unprocessed/ packaged food). My son had a particularly hard time at a previous daycare. He had daily behavioral issues, would try to escape, and all around just seemed maybe bored/ unhappy. Here he is like a whole other person. They've even been taking the time, to help get him potty trained; so, he can move up in classes where he should be. He says good morning, hi, bye, have a good day, and hugs everyone in his class when he leaves and gets to school. They are just truly great with them and are doing wonderful things with these kiddos! My daughter is excited to go to school every morning and has lots to share about her busy day when I pick her up. It is clear how much each of the students really loves Yuliya and that they feel safe and supported in her care. Yuliya is also wonderful at communicating with parents. I love the fact that I don't have to go through an app to receive updates. Every day Yuliya texts a few photos and a sentence or two on how the morning went and then takes time to share how the afternoon went during pick up. It all feels very personal. Yuliya is such a thoughtful caregiver and I love her methods of teaching. All of the activities are hands on and often focus on the natural world. She also has a deep passion for books which she helps instill in her students. Yuliya's weekly plans are the perfect combination of structure and free play. Enough structure that the kids understand what the overall schedule is each day, what the theme is for the week, and that for instance Tuesday is playdough day, Wednesday is baking day, and Friday's activity will be for watercolor. But within that structure, Yuliya allows the children to be creative and think independently. She also understands the importance of children playing outside. I wasn't able to find a single school that scheduled more time for outside play than The Ways We Grow. Overall, I have nothing but love and appreciation for Yuliya and The Ways We Grow. We are sad to be ending this chapter and fully support any new ventures Yuliya may embark on.

My daughter has been going to this school for 6-7 months now. She had been in a different daycare…read morepreviously but was constantly getting sick and I felt there was other issues there as well so I took her out and had her at home for awhile before finding Kindercare. It has been a completely different experience at Kindercare. The teachers and administrators are sweet and caring. The rooms are kept clean, even the changing table have paper sheets like at the doctors office so they can make sure they are clean for each kid. They are constantly practicing hand washing. I know it is normal for kids to get sick some when they first start going to daycare and my daughter has occasionally been sick but it is less frequent than it was before. And there have been times other kids in the class have been diagnosed with the flu but my child and the others did not get it so to me that shows they are doing an excellent job at cleaning and preventing the spread. The teachers are in the class room constantly supervising the kids so my daughter has had less injuries and accidents than she had at the previous daycare as well. They have been working on potty training with her now and they go out of their way to work together with us. I was worried when she first started potty training about sending her to school in panties because I didn't want to make more work for them if she had accidents and they reassured me that they wanted to help and were glad to do whatever it takes to get her potty trained. They feed the kids healthy meals and snacks, not the typical school food, they eat yogurt and fruit and..something I didn't even know my daughter liked..hummus and pita. The craft projects that they do are so cute as well. I would highly recommend this daycare and when I need to send her little brother we will be sending him here as well

Each of the teachers have taken an interest in my child and truly care about her. The director is approachable and takes time to listen to my concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner. Most importantly, KinderCare is a place where my daughter feels loved and at home.
