Graham (Final Frame) was the perfect fit! He is very professional and readily available for any questions, etc. He has a quicker turnaround for the video which is a bonus, and I really liked that his presence was very subtle (doesn't feel like you're on a movie set with a ton of bulky equipment). He edited a wonderful video (documentary edit), and I feel like I really get to relive the wedding day, and I love that I get to re-watch all the speeches/special moments of us with our friends and family. One of my favorite parts is that he will interview the guests (optional) and you get to hear and see family/friends video messages. It was awesome and really special. I'd highly recommend Graham! Graham is very responsive and easy to work with. The day of our June 2021 wedding, Graham showed up on time and got right to work. You hardly even know he's there, which is exactly what we wanted from a videographer. He films "documentary style" and gets all the parts of the day that are such a blur to the bride and groom. My favorite thing about his style is the interviews he does with the bride and groom separately and the interviews he does with guests. It's such a nice touch that makes watching the video even more special. Graham is so affordable given the INCREDIBLE work that he does. I can't believe some people don't get a videographer for their wedding as it was such a special experience to rewatch our day through the eyes of our guests. She was also great with communicating with us and our other vendors the few weeks leading up to the wedding, making sure her team's equipment would work with our DJ's audio setup. On wedding day, Christina was absolutely lovely to work with. As someone with no experience being on camera, I loved that she gave tips on suggested movements to make that appeared really natural and beautifully on camera. My partner and I have our own unique story, like everyone in love, and we chose to honor it not through a conventional wedding but by starting a family. His proposal on bended knee, while we walked an idyllic beach in the Caribbean, was not to have a party but to have a baby. And so we did (3 weeks ago!). Eli was able to capture this connection in a special photoshoot in the late stages of my pregnancy - two days before I gave birth, actually - of the two of us awaiting our third. My partner is particularly camera shy and tends to just go goofy but Eli is a master at creating a comfort zone for his "subjects". We were laughing, and laughing at how much we were laughing, throughout the shoot. It was such a positive experience that, 10 days later, we asked Eli to photograph the baby naming/ Bris of our son. So now we have cherished memories, from two separate but linked events, of our young family. I can't praise the quality of the photos enough, especially from the Bris. It didn't have ANY of our vows, officiant's speech, reception speeches, or any candid shots of the beautiful setting, scenes or key objects that were part of the wedding. We basically received a 5 minute music video which barely brushed through everything that happened that day. It lacked substance, it lacked a story. While we took the necessary steps to make sure the original photographer/videographer were held accountable, at the end of it all the wedding was done, what was captured was done- and we were devastated beyond belief. One year later, right before our 1 year anniversary, I decided to see what we could do to re-edit the video- I searched on Yelp and found Gusto. He was willing to sift through ALL of the raw footage that we were able to salvage from the horrible works of the original videographer, and with his amazing editing skills he was able to magically produce something that we are not embarrassed to show to our family and friends. Gusto was very clear in his communication, expectations, pricing options, and was open & flexible to work closely with me on details regarding certain scenes and music I wanted to include. I went in with a mix I was satisfied with - just needed to bring volume closer to industry standards so my music wouldn't be drowned out by some wanker with supercompression - and came out with a bonafide masterpiece debut (if I do say so myself). Charlie was warm and professional from beginning to end. Listened patiently to what I thought I wanted, then made sure I was bringing what he needed to do his job. As I arrived, he offered me water then got to work. While he was working, Charlie talked with me about what he was doing to make sure he was moving in the right direction, but never asked questions I didn't have the knowledge to answer and kept moving towards completion; that is truly professional! We didn't talk about philosophy (his degree on the wall), but seems like he took his aesthetic cues from the music (not the musician). That's what I'm trying to do - let the music lead me. My project was small, but Charlie has the skill and capacity to record live albums (7 isolated performers at once), and in-house instruments too. We had to adjust our timeline during the reception, including pausing photos and adding speeches, and he kept everything flowing naturally without awkward downtime. He also perfectly coordinated our unique sequence of dances with the DJ, making every transition feel seamless. DJ Otis: We didn't know who our DJ would be until the wedding day, and we were thrilled it was Otis! He absolutely nailed the music all night. The dance floor stayed packed until 11 PM because he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He mixed current hits with 70s-90s favorites that kept both younger guests and the older Vietnamese crowd dancing. The glow sticks and light-up glasses were a huge hit, and the energy never dropped. Day-of Coordinator Carina: Carina was incredible. She was warm, personable, and unbelievably organized. I thought my planning documents were detailed, but hers were even more thorough! She made me feel completely at ease leading up to the wedding and even drove to Pleasanton to run our rehearsal (an add-on that was absolutely worth it). Multiple vendors and family members commented on how efficient and organized she was. Photography & Videography: Our package included an engagement shoot plus two photographers and two videographers. Sam photographed both our engagement session and wedding, and his work was beautiful. We chose his light and airy editing style, and our engagement photos turned out amazing. On the wedding day, Sam and Christine were fantastic. They captured every moment while making us feel comfortable. One thing I'll never forget was how Sam noticed we hadn't had a moment to ourselves because of nonstop photos.
