Pegasus helped me plan and prepare for two solo trips: the first--my first ever--was a 5-day trip from Michigan to Washington, DC, in 2014 and the second, 90 days across the American West in late-summer/fall of 2017. Both were incredible, life-changing experiences, and neither would have been what they were without Nikola's help. Nikola has a gift for this sort of thing that he has honed over many years and many tens of thousands of miles. He is expert in the big picture and the small detail, imparting bits of wisdom on things like being a solo traveler connected to the communities you travel through, and also concrete advice on things like how to make the most of every item on your pack list. Speaking of pack lists, I did a ton of research on my own here (you'll see that there are many people who post them for all types of trips) and Nikola not only helped me narrow mine down to the necessities, but also added some critical items that I forgot or didn't know about. Often he'll have a story to go along with why one particular item is essential. Nikola's extensive travel throughout the United States and Europe provides the client another distinct advantage: awareness of dozens of little gems that one simply would be unlikely to discover on one's own. True, much of the fun of this sort or travel (for me, anyway) is to indulge in the need for discovery and adventure. I wouldn't want to plot out every point, stopping only at places recommended to me. But there were a few instances where I took Nik's advice, places that he spoke about almost poetically--"Your tent nestled in the soft bed of pine needles between three enormous redwoods. A beautiful river to your side." I mean, how could I not go there? There's an intangible quality about Nikola--now a good friend--that makes working with him especially enjoyable. After one conversation, you'll know what I mean. Planning this sort of thing can be daunting--maybe you've never done it before, maybe you don't have time to do the planning this time, or maybe you're experienced but want someone who can help take your journey to the next level. I went on a sidecar tour throughout San Diego using the services of Pegasus Sidecar Tours. It was a fantastic, one-of-a-kind experience, that comes with my highest recommendation. You simply can't ask for a better tour guide than Nik - he is absolutely awesome! Courteous, professional, sincere, and a genuinely great guy. He has excellent knowledge of San Diego and the surrounding area, in addition to many years and thousands of miles worth of motorcycle touring experience across the globe. With a seemingly endless supply of interesting and entertaining stories, he can take you to all of the must-see places and show you numerous hidden gems along the way. His vast knowledge of the San Diego area gives him an ability to provide historical background at any point of interest, as well as make recommendations for anything else you may be looking to do while in San Diego. I really enjoyed getting a historical perspective about the destinations along the tour, and I was never let down by any of his recommendations for things to do outside of the tour. Regarding my experience in the sidecar; it was my first-time riding in one, and thanks to Nik it was not only totally comfortable, but thoroughly enjoyable. For reference; I'm 6'1", ~175lbs, and I had more than enough room in the sidecar. Another person could have easily ridden with me. Communication with Nik throughout the tour was never an issue. The Bluetooth helmets are pretty slick - they are easy to use and have great sound clarity. Noise from the motorcycle was never bothersome. While the memories are truly priceless, I must say that all of this comes at a bargain (especially when you consider the cost of a simple bicycle tour in San Diego). My time in San Diego would not have been the same without the tour, and I would highly recommend Pegasus Sidecar Tours to anyone looking to experience San Diego in a fun, exciting, and totally unique way - you will not be disappointed. read more

Niko is an encyclopedia of knowledge on motorcycling, but in a way that can only come from personal experience, not from book learning. My 30-day motorcycle trip through Mongolia was the first time I had been a bike since I was a teenager, so I was looking for as much information as I could get before going. Niko was great and along with two several hour meetings, he hooked me up with some of his old gear for a great deal. Half the fun of traveling for me is figuring out plans on the fly and having a very flexible schedule, so I did not take advantage of Niko's planning services. But what I was very interested in, and what Niko was a great help with, was getting familiar enough with a bike and the specifics of multi-week motorcycle trips to feel comfortable taking it on myself. He showed me around his bike and gave me all kinds of tips and tricks he had learned from his many trips. Throughout the whole process Niko was patient, professional, and great (even brought beers to our meetings!). He printed out details of everything we talked about and gave me a binder of those pages so I could keep everything straight. Spent an excellent day touring around La Jolla with old friends I had not seen in a while. Could not recommend a better activity than taking one of Nik's excellent sidecar tours if you are looking for something fun and unique to do on California's wonderful coast. I had a great time with Nik on his Downtown to Balboa Park tour. It's a fun and unique was to see and learn about San Diego. The sidecar was so much fun!
