    Corned beef hash
    Samantha H.

Very limited menu with basic choices. The service wasn't very good. The lady seemed annoyed when I asked her for more coffee creamer as there was only 1 left on the table. Took a long time to get refills and had to ask for them. Felt like we were bothering her just being there. Table next to us must've been locals because she hung out and chatted and asked about things going on with them. The corned beef hash had barely any corn beef on it so it ended up being more like a plate of hash browns with two eggs on top. Very bland and under seasoned. The corned beef itself was also disappointing. Looks pretty cheap on paper but for what you get not worth it. Cute place in a little cute town but ultimately wouldn't eat here again.

    Eggs Benny breakfast

Glad I came across this place for breakfast. We phoned in our order & I'm glad we did. There was a nice amount of people waiting outside & inside. The restaurant itself is small. Prices were a little higher than I would have liked for the amount of food. Nonetheless, it was delicious! I ordered the eggs Benny. Hats off to the chef because my eggs were cooked to perfection!! The Canadian bacon was thinner than I've ever seen. It was like lunch meat & that's why I absolutely loved it!! I received 3 pieces on each english muffin & it was just the right amount. The hollandaise sauce wasn't too much.

Stumbled on this gem when my partner and I were staying at an area BnB and couldn't have been happier with the food and service. The corned beef hash was a standout with perfectly cooked hash browns with crispy edges, eggs and tasty corned beef. Even the toast was fresh and delicious. If you're in the area, we highly recommend giving this place a try.

Italian sub, no tomato or onion

Service was great! Easy quick phone call 15 min for sub, was ready a few minutes sooner when I arrived. Woman at counter was Connie, I think ( sorry if i got it wrong you were amazing!) Was very sweet and the sub is 10/10! Homemade bread and the italian dressing was really good; much better than the Italian i just had at firehouse in traverse. Thanks again, will be back

After spending the day climbing the dunes & hiking the trails, Pegtown Station was a life saver! There were very few places open but that seemed to work out in my favor because I ended up with the best vegetable pizza I have ever had!!!! The flavor was delicious and there was so much topping. I would return just for that, but the other items that were ordered (wings & a cinnamon roll) were also very good. The staff were super friendly and the prices were great. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Little Engines Breakfast (one egg with toast)

Pegtown is a must for breakfast! The food was great, getting a table was quick, the server was really nice. It was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be coming back when we return to the Glen Arbor/Leland area!

Absolutely love coming here for breakfast!! Glen Arbor is over rated with bad food and service. This place is worth driving the extra few minutes and having an amazing breakfast with awesome service. Thank you Peg Station for always having amazing, yummy food for myself and my family. Also recently had a hot sandwich and died and went to heaven.

We loved our breakfast at Pegtown Station. Filled up our tank at the gas station nearby and stopped for quick bite before driving back to Detroit. Our waitress was great - full of truisms and phrases, funny and sweet, but efficient, speedy, and matter-of-fact. Definitely reminded me of family. Think she mentioned she's been at Pegtown for ten years and she spoke highly of the regulars who come year-after-year. Food was really tasty - we got what we wanted, no surprises. We loved the sausage patties, too! Clean spot with fresh, quick food.

Fantastic sandwich and pizza option if you're headed to or from Sleeping Bear Dunes!…read more We came across Shipwreck Cafe after stopping for gas next door on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We wanted a kid friendly option and came in for the pizza, but ended up being blown away by the massive sandwich menu! Don't be discouraged by the line - it moves FAST!!!! The young people at the register and in the kitchen are efficient and so nice!!! We arrived about half an hour before the sign says pizzas are ready, and the lovely man at the register said "sure!" when we asked if we could order a pizza. The menu has something for everyone - Including plenty of vegetarian options (I think they even had a vegan option). I loved my Griffon, and the meat eaters in our group enjoyed the SS Noronic (a BLT) and the Fitzgerald. Our kids devoured their cheese pizza! They also carry Great Lakes Co Chips, which are some of the best potato chips we've ever had. Our sandwiches were all so inventive with delicious, fresh ingredients, amazing condiments, and the most freshly baked "pretzel rolls" ever. If this place wasn't a vacation stop for us, we'd be back all the time! Our kiddos favorite part, bedsides the pizza, were the tiny plastic swords that came in our sandwiches holding them together. When they each wanted one more sword, we went back inside and the staff inside was so used to kids asking for more tiny swords that their response to "May we have two more swords?" Was "Sure! What colors?!" Very different from what the response would have been where we're from. :) We even came back later in the day for the frozen custard!!! All in all, it was a great experience with great food, great service, plenty of outdoor picnic tables under umbrellas, and something for everyone to eat.

At about 14 a2 to $15 apiece this is one of the rare exceptions where it is a good value because you will get two meals out of each sandwich. We ordered a Tripoli (ham, turkey, salami, and provolone, lettuce, and tomato) and a Gaza ( curried chicken, lettuce, tomato, shredded carrot, and peas) both on rye bread. Both sandwiches were made with high-quality ingredients and we would definitely recommend either of them. Again, I cannot stress it enough, the sandwiches are enormous, and you really should share. it feels like a grammar school, kind of a cafeteria, it's modern and clean, but not particularly in inviting or appealing or charming in any way. Service was patient with his first time, kind, and very helpful. Recommend!! I'd like to return in the future and try their bagels. I'm disappointed that I came at lunchtime and all they had left with cinnamon raisin and I'm not a fan of raisins so... Next time!

The service was painfully slow; the young woman waiting on our table was stretched way too thin. It took about 15 min to order drinks and another 15 before they came. We ordered fries to share and burgers, subbing side salads since it sounded delish. Fries came out lightning fast but the portion was TINY for $10 - we had to flag down our waitress to order a second round of drinks (which she didn't even stop to ask if we wanted the same or not, just sprinted away and put them in); when she returned with this round we ordered more fries (accepting we would end up paying $30 for fries...absurd). Burgers came out; as mentioned before these were delish -6oz is a great size and bun was quality. Side salad portion was pathetic. About 6 lettuce pieces with a few toppings sprinkled on. After finishing, we again flagged down the waitress as she blew past and asked for the check. We got the bill and were appalled. For the drinks (vodka with a splash of cranberry; tequila with soda and a splash of lemonade; scotch on the rocks; all served in small cocktail glasses) not only were we charged for the alcohol - but also the mixers as if they were full sized glasses of cranberry and lemonade instead of a 1oz or less splash. Even more ridiculous was being charged for ICE (yes, you read correctly - ICE) in the scotch. Round that out with side salads being priced $1.50 over what was listed on the menu and we concluded we will never be back nor recommend.
