When I first came to PEL Tutoring, my son Ayden was in kindergarten. I noticed he was struggling with the school curriculum and had a hard time staying seated for long periods of time. I came in for a visit to PEL Learning for the first time we came to PEL Learning Center San Leandro in November 2016 to attend my niece's birthday party (it was a LEGO and computer themed party-neat!) This review is overdue, but I would like to share what a very special place this is. Perhaps rare is the learning center are the directors and direction the learning center is going, that would be as passionate and positive as Ms. Kiwi and Mr. Lawrence's PEL Learning center. Their desire to provide coaching and instruction to their students is truly an inspiration to see. They build the foundation of life long learning success in their program. If you want your child to reach to maximum potential beyond their abilities, it is more important for you to get your child assigned to a few passionate coaches who are willingly to educate your child's mind and yet educating your child's heart at the same time. My daughter has been going to PEL for almost a year and we are VERY impressed with the program. When my daughter got there, her grades were horrible and her reading level was more than 2 grades below. Mr. Lawrence ad Ms. Kiwi were incredibly kind and understanding. I am thankful for the services that PEL San Leandro provides for my family. My children needed assistance with both Math and English, and after an extensive comparison between the competitors, I chose PEL. The Spalding program has given my youngest a head start with reading. He's now able to breakdown the words to their phonograms and pronounce even the most difficult of words. For my daughter, PEL's program is common core aligned, therefore the work she does at PEL directly correlates to the material she's exposed to at school. When she needs even more assistance with her Math or English, the private tutoring services gives me peace of mind that she understands all the material needed to be successful for her exams. My wife and I decided to enroll our 7 yrs old son in PEL after noticing that he was behind in maths and English and pays no attention to school. We were desperate to get early intervention then luckily found PEL learning center. It was the best decision we have ever made. They are very organized and get up to date progress of our child. We had a private meeting with Lawrence and he was very forthcoming and assured us that he was absolutely positive that our child will catch up if attends their program at least twice a week. my homeschooled 4-year-old attends PEL twice a week for English and Math curriculum and he really enjoys learning with the instructors there. at $120 monthly per subject, the cost of the curriculum lessons are relatively expensive but we find that price to be fair considering that keeping a preschooler on track is hard work. homework help for the older kids is affordable at only $80 or so per month. PEL provides a clean and inviting environment for learning and offers a Guest Lounge up front with coffee and tea and water. parking is sometime scarce but the older kids can be dropped off and picked up right in front without hassle. we are happy here and PEL is growing nicely! we expect that they will be around and successful for a good long while. read more

The place looks very professional and feels like a learning center. They have the guest lounge with free coffee and tea for the parents.
