Even almost tripped and fell over the rocks trying to get to him. Shouting at him, "hey! Hey!" "Who are you? What are you doing here??" He looked at her in a total state of shock. She then says, "are you Rae's guest?" He said yes, and she promptly walked off. I guess she realized how bad it came off but didn't bother to apologize, instead just turned around & said "oh we just didn't know who u were". The next day she emails me about how there's no cussing around here because this is a family park. And no smoking in the rv. And no downloading movies illegally because she got a message from the internet provider saying someone was streaming or downloading movies illegally. ???? Ok so a couple hours after the emails, then she has 2 guys knock on the rv I was renting saying they needed to come in asap and log out of netflix and other streaming accounts- which was fine because I had nothing to hide Few days later she yells at my husband that he needs to ride his bike a certain way to follow the traffic of the park. We have no problems following rules and we remained respectful no matter how rude and snarky she was. One day my daughter mistakenly called 911 on my phone and I called back and said hey I apologize my daughter was messing around on the phone. But officers showed up just to check and when I opened the door to apologize and explain, she was right outside with her hand on her hips like she was waiting for something crazy to pop off. She then emailed me and said if cops were called again, that she would be kicking us out. Couple days later, My husband had a bad accident on an e-bike, and was bleeding from his face and all over his body. while walking back to the rv he was telling me what happened on the phone before he came in. She saw him outside in this condition and insisted of having any compassion or concern, proceeded to email me AGAIN telling me that he was cursing and shouting about how he got hit by a car and needs to watch his mouth! about 3 weeks in she told me that the owners did not want to continue renting the rv. That I needed to find a place to live within the next week or 2. Mind you, me and this lady talked for weeks before I moved in. She knew my situation, we have 3 babies, had an accident causing us to lose our vehicle, jobs and our house. We were living in hotels before I found this rv park. She had so much compassion and was super friendly over the phone before seeing us in person. She told me that we could rent an rv for a few months and even promised me that an even bigger rv was coming and we could move into it when it comes so we could be more comfortable. What a joke! Thank God we found a house and got our jobs back that same week!!! I've seen the other poor reviews, how quick she responds. Me knowing how rude and prejudiced she is, I can almost hear the sarcasm in her responses. Sadly she seemed very sweet and maybe she would've been if we didn't look "out of place" maybe? I'm not oblivious. I know I have tattoos from my face to my feet. And my husband is African American with dreads. We might've not fit in. But we stayed to ourselves and we did not bother anyone. Someone there told me that she's notorious for her emails and they believe that she is racist because they overheard her at the hot tub making racist jokes with her friends. But I won't expose their identity as they are still currently a resident. Also just to add, the men staff were not rude at all. They almost seemed apologetic for her ugly nasty behavior. My husband being a black man knew the prejudiced vibe right from day one. She did nothing but confirm this the entire stay.

My girlfriend, her son, and I have visited your pier every year for the past four years. During each trip, we spend eight or more hours a day fishing. We have always had positive experiences with Mike and the other staff members, which is why we continue to return, spend money at the pier, and recommend it to others. On the evening of 06/13/2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m., my girlfriend and I went inside to order a pizza before heading to the beach. After placing our order, we were instructed to wait upstairs. As we were preparing to sit down, a man immediately approached us regarding my backpack cooler. I had just removed the cooler from my back when he informed me it was not allowed. We explained that we were unaware of the policy and had only come upstairs because we had been directed to wait there for our food. He did not identify himself or explain his role. He stated that if there was no alcohol in the cooler, it would be fine. Wanting to be honest, I informed him there was alcohol inside. At that point, he grabbed my bag and said he would hold it. I asked if I could retrieve my wallet first. After asking twice, I was told to stop being rude. I explained that I felt the way he had approached us was unnecessarily aggressive. My girlfriend attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the interaction continued to become more confrontational. We ultimately chose to return downstairs and wait for our food. A woman who identified herself as the General Manager then approached us and stated that we had been rude to the bartender. Rather than attempting to understand the situation or de-escalate it, she immediately became defensive and repeatedly threatened to make us leave. When I questioned whether she felt her approach to customers was appropriate, she continued to insist that we were at fault and needed to "learn how to read." My girlfriend made multiple attempts to calmly explain that this was simply a misunderstanding and that we had not intentionally violated any rules. Unfortunately, she was repeatedly interrupted, spoken over, and dismissed. Even after asking us to follow her outside to review the posted signage, the conversation remained condescending and unprofessional. I would like to add a young man and woman staffed within the store were both present during this. And immediately apologized for the interaction. To be clear, this complaint is not about the policy itself. I fully understand the importance of following alcohol regulations and protecting your business from potential licensing issues. Had the policy simply been explained to us respectfully, there would have been no issue. The problem was the manner in which we were treated. What should have been a simple conversation about a misunderstanding escalated into an unnecessarily hostile interaction. Rather than helping resolve the situation, both the bartender and General Manager appeared to escalate it further. As longtime patrons who have supported this business for years, we left feeling disrespected, belittled, and unwelcome. That was disappointing, especially given the positive experiences we have had at your establishment in the past. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed, as the behavior displayed by management on this occasion fell far below the level of professionalism I would expect from a business that values its customers.

There's a great game room, a movie theater, and a gym on the property. Everything is access-controlled, so you feel safe. Getting to the beach is about a 5-minute walk. This is a beautiful place! What makes this place special is they have spots for RV's. You don't have to drag your rig to the crowded island to be near the water. This place is closer to the city of Houston than you think. They do family fishing tournaments a few times a year. They are family run, and by great people that have been there forever. I think it was the best experience I've ever had coming to Galveston. No loud music, no loud families just calm and quiet. The only people that were around were fishing on the jetty. I was able to catch some rays, play in the sand, dip in the water, and walk the beach without a living soul to bother me. Ha! I am not sure what it's like in the summer, but if you have a chance to go to this end of the beach during the off-season, it is absolutely heaven!! Heads up - no restrooms....at least during the off season. Not sure about the rest.

I stomped through the deep boggy sand to find the trailhead and it was badly neglected. It's between East Beach and Big Reef. At this time it is totally impassable. Needs to be bushwhacked in order to connect to an awesome oyster shell trail that runs parallel to Boddeker Road. This area is best visited in cooler weather, followed by a dry period, during lowest tide. Otherwise infested with mosquitoes, to boggy, and flooded. Wear hiking boots and bring water shoes...also repellant.
