The front desk staff, Johnny & Jorge, were delightful! They were professional, friendly and very helpful!! The facility and condo were absolutely beautiful! The grounds are well maintained and so was the condo. We couldn't have asked for more! There is SO much to see just at Diamond Beach Resort! We never got to the indoor pool or games room but I did get in that cold lazy river!! It was a lovely experience! We will be back!!

My favorite place to stay in Galveston. A real hidden gem. Great views, quiet enough to relax yet you can find activity if you want. The game room is great an what a work out facility. Bar None is a great place to hang out and the staff is friendly. Enjoyable all year round as that is even a great heated indoor pool. Check this one out.

It's been a great experience staying here for the weekend. It has a beautiful view and access to the beach. The amenities it offers are of great quality (game room, theatre, gym) and the facilities are very clean and well kept. The only complaints I would have is that there entrance is not well lit, so it can be a hard place to turn into if you're driving in at night. Also, some of their other amenities such as their bar and spa are closed for unknown reasons. I also don't like the fact that the gym and indoor pool stay home all night, but the outdoor pool and theater and game room close around 11pm. Overall I would recommend this as a top notch place to stay if you're ever in the Galveston area.

We stayed here last weekend and loved it. Our rental was fresh and modern. It was very comfortable and clean. We had a view of the ocean and the amazing pool. But the best for the kids was by far the lazy river and waterslide. This property also has a workout room, theater you can rent and cabanas to rent. We'll be back.

Definitely one of the best places to stay while in Galveston! The amenities are great and the view is excellent! I'll be back as much as possible! And the reason why I'm giving it 5 stars is because it is pet-friendly!

Stayed in this condo for a week (Tuesday-Monday) with 5 others. ROOM (310): the condo itself has an amazing view. The smaller bathroom shower and sink had very poor water pressure so we basically all used the king size bedroom's bathroom which has a dual shower head. The washer/dryer is in the smaller bathroom. Wish there was a nightstand in the queen size bedroom. Kitchen was great. All necessity's. Tv in living room worked fine. We tried setting up our own fire stick but it didn't work. RESORT: Because it was off season the bar on the 3rd floor was not open like the receptionist had promised. Only on the weekend. And same for the swim up bar (which I believe was not open at all). Also due to the off season it was very quiet through out the building except for the weekend. We didn't mind that since we basically had the pool to ourselves every single day. Pool is HUGE. And lazy river is very nice and relaxing. Slide wasn't open at all probably due to it being off season. Gym was great. few basic machines but the view is insane. Honestly, they say you need to wear wristbands daily so they know you are a guest, but I saw others not wearing them (they probably actually lived there) and I didn't wear mine. There were no problems. LOCATION: about 10 min drive to main strip of bars and restaurants so the building is secluded but nice enough so it's not noisy around. Whole family raved about this condo and how we want to go back. Galveston is a great beach town. Would love to see what it looks like during its busy season next year!

Both times we've been here have been in January, so we haven't been able to use the outdoor pools or the lazy river.

Since moving to Texas...specifically Galveston, the first thing people say is, coming from Florida?…read moreyou must miss the beach. Honestly? I don't, because I don't compare the two. If you come here expecting Florida's clear water, you might miss what makes Galveston special. The water can appear brown at times, but that's due to natural sediment shifting with the tides, not because it's dirty. Once you understand that your whole perspective changes. What I've come to love is the experience. Walking along the Seawall, day or night, there's always something happening. Different energy, different crowds, different moods depending on the season. It never feels the same twice. Galveston's seawall beaches isn't about perfection, it's about presence. And when you meet it that way, it's actually really beautiful.

It may not be on anyone's top list of beaches to visit, but it's still a beautiful beach. A beach…read morethat has many stories to tell. It all starts with José Antonio de Evia who surveyed the land in 1783 for the Spanish governor, Bernardo de Galvez. There are also pirates in this story. Jean Lafitte and his crew of buccaneers made this island their hideaway in 1817 after discovering this beach. There was even a fortress built here in 1897. You can still see some of the remnants jutting out from the seawall. It was rebuilt after the Storm of 1900 and named Fort Crockett after Davy. Make sure you look up towards the San Luis Resort to see the Battery Hoskins bunker that is still there. The point is that it's more than just a beach made famous by a devastating storm. Sure, there are many memorials and historical markers along the seawall. There are also many fun activities such as the 61st Street Fishing Pier and the Pleasure Pier as well as art that has beautified the seawall. There's a stretch of beach between 6th and 61st street called the Seawall Interpretive Trail. About 70 concrete benches were transformed into mosaic art by Artist Boat. These pieces highlight Galveston's beaches. We didn't get to see all of it. It's a lot of beach to cover during a short stay before a cruise. We were simply mesmerized by everything around us as we were walking along the seawall across from our hotel. There were pods of pelicans flying over and seagulls on the rocks and breakaways. The view along the seawall at sunset was stunning. It was a great time to see it. It even brought back childhood memories for my husband who was born here. We enjoyed our stay on the beach even though it was a short one.
