We have known each other for many years outside the practice and it is with a heavy heart that I post this review. Dr. Wakefield serves this community as doctor and his country as a Colonel in the United States Army. In June 2019 he was activated and deployed overseas for 6 months. In a little more than 2 months, his spouse has driven away many people within the community. His practice, the Christian Clinic, more often than not, cannot be reached in person or on the phone. Even the local hospital and pharmacy's have a difficult communicating with his office. The final straw for me came this morning when after waiting 3 full days for his office to respond to my pharmacy for a refill (they didn't), I went in right when they opened for the limited hours someone is actually at the practice. There I encountered Dr. Wakefield's spouse and she began looking up my information. She then informed me that I had not seen the doctor since last year and that they would not refill unless I made another appointment so see someone else. I would not have a problem with that except I had been in earlier this year ... in fact there was an error with how much they charged me because I am "self-pay" and receive a discount. I offered to bring in proof via a receipt that I was indeed seen by Dr. Wakefield but she informed me that I could bring in all the receipts I wanted but it would not change her mind. I tried to reason with her but she kept cutting me off ... then she finally told me that I may go. So go I did. There are other doctors in this town. I don't share the personal relationship (I helped to literally build out this clinic for him when he left the practice he was at before, in barter for a couple of office visits) with these other doctors. But maybe that's better. Their judgement is not clouded by personal feelings. In any case ... Dr. Wakefield is good. If I were injured, taking into account he is an Army doctor with battlefield experience, I would hope to have him. If you are looking for reliability and a supportive and listening staff ... LOOK ELSEWHERE! Incompetence for them seems to be a keyword. The 2 stars are for him. It would have been more but his staff lost it for him.

I had been going to Dr. Wakefield, monthly for over 6 yrs for various chronic illnesses, but after going there in mid 2019 and having plenty of reasons for wanting to get a new doctor for over 2 yrs, that visit was the last straw. The following describes what happened: I received a message that I had supposedly missed my appointment for earlier in the day (which I knew was not at that time) so within minutes I tried to call back for an hour, but I just kept getting a stupid recording at their number, saying that they weren't there, with no way to even leave a message.. So I waited till the correct time and went to my appointment, by the time I got to Wakefield's office I was livid over not being able to call them to straighten all this out. When I got there I asked Wakefield's wife & office manager why they had called to harass me about an appointment time that they themselves had gotten wrong (I made her look it up on the computer and she verified that I had the right time, not her) and I asked her why there was no way to even call them or even leave a message about it. So Wakefield's wife cops an attitude that I do not have to put up with in a professional setting, especially when none of this misunderstanding was my fault. Dr. Wakefield's office changes staff like they change socks, probably because of how low their requirements are to work there. I would describe Dr. Wakefields office as UNprofessional, UNorganized, highly incompetent and disrespectful. Save your sanity by never going there and never having to put up with all of their stupidity . By the way Dr. Sheets (who is standing in while Dr. Wakefield is deployed in the Middle East in the National Guard) Dr. Sheets told me and I quote "Dr. Wakefield's office is trying to not go bankrupt, while he is in the Middle East" End Quote. So I would not be surprised if Christian Clinic closes soon, which couldn't happen to a more deserving Disorganization. And when his wife has to go get a job at a hospital or other clinic and is no longer the ruling queen of her own clinic, I will laugh especially hard. Because she can tell them how her terrible lack of leadership ran their clinic into the ground, by driving away all their patients. And that is just ass neurologist. As a pain specialist he is very knowledgeable, and very willing to listen to the patient and try to actually help them. I will never leave for another doctor unless I'm forced to.

I cannot begin to say or explain how wonderful it is to have such a place to go to for my Dermatological health concerns. Having a medical facility like Randall Dermatology removes so much doubt, stress, anxiety, and many other concerns that I experience at other medical practices. It is so nice to have a place to go that I actually look forward to going and I have a genuine feeling of peace and joy that comes over me when I leave because of the quality, caring, compassionate, and professional staff at Randall Dermatology. I now have an EDO on my record and for those who don't know what that is ... it's basically a emergency detainment order by the hospital and Jasper county police when THEY THINK you are a danger to yourself or others. So if that is the case WHY DOES MY PAPERWORK state that I was basicallyFINE. Jasper County Police refuse to answer and so does the hospital. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN. I have been unable to find a job because of that being on my record. The only way to have it removed is BY A LAWYER. This was back in October 2025

My sister got her tonsils taken out here when she was six (she's now 26), and the nurses were NOT kid-friendly. When she had her IV put in, the nurse told her to say "Ow, ow, ow" when she put in the needle. My sister still has a fear of needles. They also changed her sheets, and took her stuffed monkey that we gave her after surgery. They didn't give it back! We had to ask them about it, and then the gave it back. WTF?! Needless to say, I didn't have a good opinion about this community hospital for many years. Now that St. Franciscan has take over the hospital, it's given the hospital a major facelift, customer service wise. My mother was sent here recently, and the nurses were super attentive and loving. Even though they may not have everything IU Health has, they are still working to take care of the community. I'm really glad that this facility has some standards now.
